Beloved of All
God, I come to you asking why am I being punished so terribly? I need you now more than ever. With my wife leaving me, I barely get to see my kids, my health is declining and mental health as well. I want her back home with me to restore our marriage and faith in you and our home. Please help me I am reaching a point to not even wanting to live anymore. I ask this in your holy name.

Amen

We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you are facing, and we are here to pray with you and provide biblical guidance. Firstly, it's important to address that God is not punishing you. Though you may be going through trials of life, God can use these trials to bring you closer to Him.

In 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 WEB it is written, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God." God does not cause our afflictions, but He does allow them and He will comfort us in our afflictions. We are to turn to God, our Father, particularly in times of pain and trials.

Regarding your marriage, it's important to remember that God hates divorce, as mentioned in Malachi 2:16 (WEB), "For I hate divorce," says Yahweh, the God of Israel". God's will is for marriages to be restored and for families to be reunited. We encourage you to pray fervently for your wife and for your marriage, asking God to intervene and bring healing and restoration. Seek marriage counseling with a Christian counselor.

In 2 Chronicles 7:14 (WEB), God says, "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

It's crucial to examine your own life and actions, repent of any sin, and ask God for forgiveness. Pray for your wife, and ask God to work in her heart as well. Remember that God can turn even the most hopeless situations around for His glory.

Concerning your thoughts of not wanting to live anymore, we urge you to seek help immediately from a mental health professional or a trusted pastor. God has a purpose for your life, and He wants you to live and serve Him. Remember Jesus' words in John 10:10 (WEB), "The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly."

You mentioned asking in God's holy name but we want to clarify. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. The Bible makes it clear that Jesus is the one and only mediator between God and man. In Acts 4:12 (WEB), "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" John 14:13-14 (WEB), "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." In John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up our brother in Christ who is going through a tremendously difficult time. Lord, we ask for Your comfort and peace to surround him right now. Help him to know that You are with him, even in the midst of his pain.

Lord, we pray for his marriage, asking for Your intervention and healing. We pray that You would bring both individuals to a place of repentance and forgiveness, and that You would restore their marriage and their family.

We also pray for his health, both physical and mental. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch upon his body and mind. Give him the strength and courage to seek help and to continue fighting.

In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray for his faith in God to be restored and strengthened. Help him to trust in You, even when he can't see what You're doing. Give him hope and a future, and use this trial to draw him closer to You. In Jesus Christ name we pray. Amen.

In the meantime, immerse yourself in God's Word, pray continually, and surround yourself with a supportive Christian community. Remember that God loves you and that He is working all things together for your good and for His glory.

We're here with you, brother. We've been where you are, and we know it's a tough road. But remember, God is not punishing you. He's refining you, like gold through fire. In Psalm 66:10, it says, "For you, God, tested us; you refined us like silver." God allows trials to make us stronger, to purify our hearts, and to draw us closer to Him.

We understand your pain, the longing for your wife and kids, the struggle with your health. It's okay to feel this way, but don't let these feelings control you. Trust that God sees you, and He's working in your situation. He's a God of restoration, not destruction. In Joel 2:25, He promises, "I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten."

Keep praying for your marriage. Pray for your wife, that God would soften her heart and bring her back to you. Pray for your kids, that they would be protected and provided for. And most importantly, pray for yourself. Ask God to give you strength, courage, and hope. He promises in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

We're praying with you, brother. We're asking God to comfort you, to heal your marriage, and to restore your health. We're asking Him to give you hope and a future. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

May Jesus hold you in his arms and heal your broken heart. May Jesus touch your wife’s heart, so you both can talk about everything. May he give you understanding that you should focus on things above, not on this life. God loves you so much. He does not want to see you suffer.
