Disciple of Prayer
Almighty God please help me. I just lost the love of my life, my beautiful wife ###. She's in heaven with you now and I miss her tremendously. We were together 10 years and now she's gone with you. Please protect her for me and let her know I love her and miss her tremendously. She always prayed and loved you Jesus. I love you and her very much and await the day we're reunited in heaven together again. While I'm waiting, let me honor her by helping others and prospering in my life. Let me go to her grave and place flowers to let her know she's always in my heart and I miss her tremendously and love her tremendously too. Help me move forward and live with her alive in my heart and she's always in my life. Help heal my hernia and take away the pain. Thank you Almighty God in the name of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior. Amen.

We hear your heart’s cry, and our hearts ache with yours in this profound loss. The love you shared with your wife for ten years was a sacred gift, and the void left by her absence is deep. We stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting your grief, your love, and your longing to the Father, who collects every tear in His bottle (Psalm 56:8). Your wife’s faith and devotion to Jesus have not gone unnoticed, she now rests in the arms of the One she loved, and we trust that she is at perfect peace, free from pain and sorrow.

We rejoice that you have placed your hope in Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and the promise of eternal life. Jesus said, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will still live, even if he dies" (John 11:25). Your wife’s faith in Him has secured her place in heaven, and your own faith ensures that your reunion will be one of unending joy. Until that day, we pray that the Holy Spirit would comfort you with the same peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Your desire to honor her memory by helping others and prospering in your life is beautiful and pleasing to God. The Lord delights in hearts that seek to reflect His love, even in the midst of pain. We encourage you to lean into the body of Christ, your brothers and sisters in the faith, who can walk alongside you, pray with you, and remind you of God’s faithfulness. "Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ" (Galatians 6:2). You do not have to carry this weight alone.

As you visit her grave and place flowers, may each act be a testament to the love that death cannot sever. The Lord sees your devotion and will use it to heal your heart in ways only He can. We also lift up your physical pain, the hernia that troubles you, and ask the Great Physician to bring relief. "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds" (Psalm 147:3). May His healing touch restore your strength, both in body and spirit.

Let us pray with you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, yet filled with hope because of Your Son, Jesus Christ. We thank You for the precious gift of this man’s wife, for the love they shared, and for the legacy of faith she leaves behind. Lord, we ask that You would wrap Your arms around him in this time of grief. Comfort him with the assurance that his wife is with You, free from pain and sorrow, and that one day they will be reunited in Your presence. Heal his heart, Lord, and fill the emptiness with Your peace. Strengthen him to honor her memory by living a life that reflects Your love and grace.

Father, we also ask for Your healing touch upon his body. Ease the pain of his hernia and restore him to full health. Give him the strength to move forward, not in his own power, but in Yours. Surround him with Your people, Lord, so that he may feel Your love through their care and support. Help him to keep his eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who endured the cross for the joy set before Him (Hebrews 12:2).

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who conquered death so that we might have eternal life. Amen.

In the days ahead, remember that your grief is not a sign of weakness, but a testament to the love you shared. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18), and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). Hold fast to His promises, and allow His love to sustain you. You are not alone, we stand with you, and more importantly, the Lord stands with you.

We are so sorry for the weight of this loss you are carrying. The love you shared with your wife shines through every word, ten years of deep companionship, now held in a heart that misses her beyond words. We are praying with you in this season of grief, knowing that it is a hard and holy road.

Grief takes time, and it looks different for every person. It is not a sign of weak faith to mourn deeply; it is a measure of the love you gave and received. Your desire to honor her memory by helping others and prospering in your life is a beautiful instinct. In the days ahead, that commitment can become a steady anchor, a way to live out the goodness she nurtured in you. Even small acts of kindness, done in her honor, can help you feel connected to her legacy while you heal.

A concrete step we would gently offer is to seek out a grief support group or a trusted pastor or friend who can walk alongside you in this valley. Sharing the burden with others who understand can make the loneliness less sharp. And for the hernia and the pain you mentioned, we urge you to see a doctor soon. Medical care is a gift God uses, and we pray for your healing while also encouraging you to seek the help your body needs right now.

Lord Jesus, hold this beloved husband close as he mourns. Wrap him in Your peace that passes all understanding. Thank You for the years he had with his wife, for her love and her faith. Comfort him in the empty moments, and give him courage to take one day at a time. We ask for complete healing of his hernia and relief from pain, and we pray for wisdom for any medical professionals involved. Give him tangible ways to honor her memory, and fill his heart with a sure hope in the promise of reunion. In Your name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

My heart goes out to you in this deep valley of sorrow, but let me point you at once to the bright hilltops of eternal consolation. Your dear wife is not lost; she is safely folded in the place where no shadows fall. You ask God to protect her for you, but, O brother, she is past all need of protection, for she stands where there is no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain. The Lamb who is in the midst of the throne has already wiped away every tear from her eyes, and she drinks of the living fountains of waters. Heaven must be in us before we can be in Heaven, and you may be sure that she who prayed and loved the Lord Jesus is now fully enjoying God Himself, for Heaven is God, fully enjoyed.

Yet while we cannot send messages upward, our Lord Himself has made it plain that to be absent from the body is to be present with Him. She knows the love of Christ in its fullness, and she is wrapped in a bliss that needs no additions from earth. Rather, let this thought comfort you: your reunion awaits, and it will be a meeting where you shall see His face together. Our sweetest comfort in affliction comes from the Word that has quickened us, this is your peculiar source of strength. That same Word has told you of a city that has foundations, whose builder and maker is God, and it assures you that though you are a stranger upon earth, you are a citizen of Heaven. In your weeping, take this cordial: the Word of God not only speaks peace but quickens the soul, so that you do not merely endure, but live again.

You desire to honor her by helping others and prospering in your life, that is a holy ambition. May the Lord establish you in every good word and work, so that your life becomes a nether Heaven even while you walk this earth. When you place flowers upon her grave, do so not as one without hope, but as a pilgrim who knows the road leads home. She is not there; that grave holds only the shell she once used. She herself is with Christ, which is far better. And soon, oh, how soon!, you shall forget this misery as waters that pass away, remembering it only to praise redeeming love. Let your grief drive you deeper into the wounds of Jesus, for the Lamb is our hope, our comfort, our honor, our delight.

As for your body, cast that hernia and its pain upon the Lord who bore our sicknesses. He who is Master of winds and waves can speak the word and the pain shall cease. But if He does not remove it, He will quicken you to bear it with patience, and His grace will be sufficient. Comfort and constancy go together; He will comfort your heart and establish you. In the meantime, sit together in the heavenly places even now by faith. Let her memory be a spur, not a fetter. Live forward, looking unto Jesus, until that day when you both shall see His face in all its unveiled glory, and that shall be the Heaven of Heaven for you both.
