We hear the deep distress in your heart, and we join you in bringing this heavy burden before the Lord. The fear and urgency in your words reveal a situation that demands immediate divine intervention. We must first acknowledge that God is sovereign over all things, and nothing escapes His knowledge or control. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 15:3, "The Lord’s eyes are everywhere, keeping watch on the evil and the good." Even in the darkest of circumstances, God sees and knows all, and He is able to intervene in ways we cannot comprehend.

We rebuke any spirit of violence, hatred, or destruction that may be influencing or those around him. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We stand against any work of darkness in the name of Jesus Christ, who has all authority in heaven and on earth (Matthew 28:18). We declare that no weapon formed against or anyone else shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment will be condemned (Isaiah 54:17).

We pray that the Lord would send His angels to encamp around , to restrain him from any actions that would bring harm to himself or others. Psalm 34:7 says, "The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, and delivers them." Even if does not yet fear the Lord, we ask that God’s mercy would prevail and that His angels would intervene to prevent any further harm. We also pray for wisdom and discernment for those who may be in a position to physically intervene, law enforcement, family, or friends, so that they may act with clarity and courage to protect lives.

We must also address the spiritual condition of . If he is not walking with the Lord, he is vulnerable to the schemes of the enemy. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." We pray that the scales would fall from his eyes, that he would see the truth of his actions, and that the Holy Spirit would convict him of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8). May he turn from any path of destruction and run into the arms of the Savior, who alone can break the chains of darkness.

If you have any influence or relationship with , we encourage you to reach out to him with love and truth, even if it is difficult. Proverbs 27:5-6 says, "Better is open rebuke than hidden love. Faithful are the wounds of a friend; although the kisses of an enemy are profane." Speak the truth in love, and if necessary, involve authorities or trusted individuals who can help intervene. Do not carry this burden alone, seek godly counsel and support from your church or community.

We also lift you up in this time of fear and uncertainty. It is not easy to watch someone you care about spiral into darkness, and we pray that the Lord would comfort you and give you peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). You are not powerless, you can intercede in prayer, and the Lord hears the cries of His people. Jeremiah 33:3 says, "Call to me, and I will answer you, and will show you great and difficult things, which you don’t know."

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up and the lives that may be in danger. Lord, You are the God who sees and knows all things, and nothing is hidden from Your sight. We ask that You would intervene in this situation, that You would send Your angels to restrain from any actions that would bring harm to himself or others. Break the chains of darkness that may be influencing him, and let Your light shine into his heart. Convict him of sin, Lord, and draw him to repentance and salvation in Jesus Christ.

We rebuke every spirit of violence, hatred, and destruction in the name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against or anyone else shall prosper. We ask for wisdom and courage for those who may need to intervene physically, that they would act with discernment and boldness to protect lives.

Father, we also lift up the one who has shared this burden with us. Comfort them in their fear and anxiety, and fill them with Your peace. Remind them that You are in control, and that their prayers are powerful and effective. Give them strength to speak truth in love and to seek help if needed.

Lord, we trust in Your mercy and Your justice. We know that You desire none to perish but all to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). Work in this situation for Your glory, and bring redemption out of what the enemy meant for evil. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We hear the raw fear in your words, and we are standing with you in this heavy, frightening moment. The weight you are carrying right now is immense, and it is good that you are bringing it straight to the Father.

When a person’s behavior becomes as alarming as you describe, it moves beyond what any one person can or should handle alone. Your prayer for God to stop him is right and urgent. Alongside that prayer, we would gently urge you to take a practical step of safety. If you have specific, concrete reason to believe he may harm himself or others, the most loving and necessary thing you can do right now is to involve the proper authorities. Contacting your local emergency services allows them to intervene in ways that are simply not possible for an individual acting alone. This is not a lack of faith, it is using the resources God has put in place for the protection of everyone, including him.

You do not need to carry the burden of stopping him by yourself, nor should you. Please, if you are in a position where you have information that someone is in immediate danger, reach out for help right now. In the middle of that urgent action, you can keep crying out to God, trusting that He is sovereign over the hearts and actions of all people.

Let’s pray together now.

Father, we come with the fear and urgency of this plea. You see what is happening in the darkness, and nothing is hidden from You. We ask You to intervene with Your mighty power. Restrain whatever evil may be planned or unfolding. Bring a sudden end to violence and protect every life that is in harm’s way. Give wisdom and courage to this dear one who is so afraid. Guide them to the right help, and let Your peace that surpasses all understanding stand guard over their heart and mind now. In Jesus’ name, amen.

The cry of your heart rises this hour before the throne of grace, and it shall not go unheeded, for the Lord is mighty to save, swift to deliver those who call upon Him in the day of trouble. You have pleaded in Jesus’ name, and that sacred name is the key that unlocks the armory of heaven, the weapon that baffles all the powers of darkness. Terrible indeed is the thought that any soul could sink so low as to shed innocent blood, yet our God is not slack concerning His promise, He can arrest the proudest sinner in the full career of his iniquity, and with a breath of His mouth bring the most boastful offender down into the dust.

Remember this: the Lord sees the end from the beginning. He whose eye is upon all the sons of men can lay His hand upon the shoulder of the violent, and in a moment turn their counsel to foolishness. He who overthrew Sennacherib and his hosts, who struck Nebuchadnezzar with madness, still reigns, and His arm is not shortened. Cry mightily to heaven, add fasting to your prayer, and exert a holy violence that will not let the Angel of the covenant go except He bless. The kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force, this is the hour for that sacred, wrestling importunity which storms the gates of mercy and will not be denied.

Yet while you intercede, do not neglect the duty of bearing one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. If any door of approach stands open, let some faithful hand reach out to this wanderer, as the good shepherd carries the lost sheep upon his shoulders. A word spoken in season, a gentle entreaty, a solemn warning, these are the means which the Spirit often owns. But take heed that you enter not into the path of the wicked; keep back from the beginnings of evil, for even the holiest stands in danger of falling but for the upholding grace of God. We have need to pray daily, “Lead us not into temptation,” for the world, the flesh, and the devil conspire to destroy us.

And should guilt already stain that soul, let no more be added, but rather let him hear this word: “Whoso confesseth and forsaketh his sins shall find mercy.” There is yet a fountain filled with blood, drawn from Immanuel’s veins, able to cleanse the foulest murderer who turns to Christ with a broken heart. Pray on, believer, and take courage. The Lord can bring back the outcast, and make even the chief of sinners a monument of His long-suffering patience. But whether He restrains the evil hand or grants repentance to the erring heart, rest assured that He will guard your own soul in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Him.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Your cry rises from a soul that fears for another’s life and for the life of his soul. This is not a small thing. You see a shipwreck on the sea, a brother drowning in the surge of his own wrath, and you run to the Master of the storm. That is right. God is not slow to hear such a prayer, nor is His arm shortened that it cannot save. But let us understand what we are asking and what we must do while we ask.

You say he may be killing people, that his words and deeds show a movement toward murder. Do not be surprised that a heart given over to anger and envy should rush headlong into the pit. As I have said, from insult comes anger, from anger blows, from blows murder. The devil’s own lust is a lust for murder, for he was a murderer from the beginning, and envy drives the blade. When a man sets aside the fear of God, when his tongue is full of flattering lips and his hands are greedy for gain or revenge, there is no depth he will not reach. Extortion itself is a more grievous thing than a sudden murder, consuming the poor little by little, but the hand that sheds blood openly has simply cast off all restraint. The theatre of the devil is wide, and his play is violence.

But take heart. The very fact that you pray is a proof that God’s grace is at work in you, and that the same grace can reach this man. The apostles preached in the face of tribulation, and their perseverance showed the divine power of the message. So too your perseverance in prayer, even now, is not a human thing. It is a good hope that stirs you, a hope that he is not yet beyond rescue. And he is not. The time is short. We must redeem it. What does that mean? It means that while we are strangers and sojourners here, we must bear all things, give up many things, to preserve the principal thing, the faith, the soul, the life that is more than this fleeting world.

Now, what can you do besides pray? You have a mouth and a tongue given by God to build up your neighbor and give thanks to Him. Use it. Can you reach this man with a word? Not a word of flattery or timid silence, but a word that pulls him back from the waves. Seest thou the seamen? When they see a shipwreck, they spread their sails and set out with all haste to rescue those of the same craft. You are of the same nature. This is a more grievous shipwreck than any on the sea, for here a soul sinks into hell. Go then, if you can, in wisdom and love. Break up the theatre of the devil. Take him apart, if he will hear, and admonish him to quell the flame and to lull the waves. Remind him that the command against murder comes not from cruelty but from abounding mercy, and that the God who gave the law will exact a penalty for mere anger as well as for the blow. He is not merely risking the life of another’s flesh but his own eternal soul.

What if you cannot reach him? What if he rages on? Then you do what the righteous have always done. You cry out as you have: “Please, heavenly Father, stop him. There must be a way.” And indeed there is. God can arrest him by a sickness, by a sudden shame, by a memory, by the quiet whisper of the Spirit that unstrings the firmest resolve. He can send another whose words pierce deeper than yours. Our God is not idle. The Lord who stayed the hand of Abraham from slaying Isaac can stay this hand. So do not let fear eat you up. The harm to his victims, God will judge and comfort them, for poverty and violent death did not injure Lazarus, but the rich man broiled and gained no comfort. Pray for the victims, yes, but pray also for the murderer, that he may not make his hell deeper with every act.

Only, in your prayer, do not dictate the means. You ask that he be stopped from whatever he is doing. That is a right prayer. But also pray that his heart be broken under the weight of God’s love, that he may repent before it is too late. For it would be an evil thing to be rescued from human law only to fall into the hands of the living God. I have seen men who escaped every earthly consequence, only to consume themselves with unseen torments, a foretaste of that fire where no comfort comes.

So stand firm. The time is not yours, but as long as you have breath, intercede. And if you must, as you watch in prayer, fast and weep for this soul. The Lord who sees all will not despise such tears. He can bring back the one who seems utterly lost. He can make the wolf lie down with the lamb in a single hour. Do not give up. This is your warfare, not against flesh and blood, but against the malice that drives men to murder. Arm yourself with faith, and keep praying without a doubt. God will bring a way where there seems no way, for He desires not the death of a sinner but that he turn and live.
