Please continue to pray for my brother ###'s recovery with addiction and his mental illness. Please also pray for my MOM who seems depressed. I ask you Lord to touch them in your most gracious way. I also pray for my MIL who just had surgery and is recovering. I pray her healing is speedy and that she is fully healed. I pray for my disconnection with family. Bring us together O'Lord. I pray for my husband's and my business that it is successful and also our marriage. I pray for my children's to be happy and safe and always loved and that they heal from any trauma they have learned growing up. I pray for my two-year-old son that he is a good boy and is behaved and talks soon. I pray for his health and overall well-being. I pray that the forum I want to start connects me with the right people. I pray for the homeless and helpless that they find strength through God. I love you God, my Lord and Savior. Protect me and my loved ones, all of us.

Addictions:

1. Satan uses sin and addictions to entice us to be slaves to sin.
2. Then he can harm us or control our lives in a very unholy way.
3. God offers His help and He says " Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world." 1John 4:4.
4. Jesus said He will set you free. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. John 8:36

Here are some scriptures to help you break your addiction

No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.
1 Corinthians 10:13

Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.
Matthew 26:41

For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world.
1 John 2:16

Psalms 107:19-20:“Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. He sent out his word and healed them; he rescued them.

Phil.4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

God says that if two people agree in prayer He will answer that prayer.

Depression is an attack on the mind. It occurs when you feel a lack of hope.​

Faith gives substance to the things you are hoping for. Jesus defeated Satan and took away his tools of evil. However, Satan can and will attack our minds. The best thing you can do is get up and go do something fun or find some way to help others. Here are some scriptures you can focus on for your mental health.​

Phil. 4:8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.​

Deuter. 31:8 The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”​

Psalms 34:17 The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles.​

Ps. 3:3 But you, LORD, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high.​

Isaiah 41:10 Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Matthew 11:28 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

I will be praying for you to have a sound mind—the mind of Christ from now on. I will also pray that evil spirits cannot attack your mind. God loves you and so do I.

Here are some things to do that will help:

1. Exercise. Move the body...walk or run. Exercise daily will help! 20-30 minutes of outside exercise.

2. What is one thing you enjoyed doing in the past? Find a day and time to spend 10 minutes doing that activity or something similar. Write it down—day and time on calendar. Share what you will do with someone so you will be accountable to get it done.

3. Journal...Write down your thoughts so you can get rid of the negative ones.

4. Stay away from negative media, posts, anything that triggers negative emotion.

5. Watch an inspirational movie—there are some great Christian movies out now.

6. Write down scripture or positive affirmations and put them in the bathroom and around the house. Read them daily.

7. Do something for someone else. Think of someone you care about and bake them something or bring them a gift or write a card to them.

We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect.
