I know many of you have already been praying for this, but this weekend, we are raising our voices in prayer and asking the Lord to intervene.

The appeal hearing for the convicted professor is this Monday. Please pray earnestly that the Lord will intervene in the Court of Appeal and that the appeal will be dismissed.

We join with you in lifting this matter before the throne of grace and we thank you for inviting us to stand with you in earnest prayer for the hearing on Monday.

We know the Lord is a God of justice and truth and that no court on earth is beyond His sovereign oversight. We are reminded that Yahweh sits enthroned forever and He has established His throne for judgment and He will judge the world in righteousness and administer judgment to the peoples in uprightness Psalm 9:7-8. We also take comfort that the authorities that exist are appointed by God and they are servants of God for good to bring justice Romans 13:1, Romans 13:4. Therefore we pray that the judges in the Court of Appeal will be given wisdom and discernment and courage to uphold what is right and to not be swayed by influence or partiality, for we know you shall not pervert justice and you shall not show partiality Deuteronomy 16:19.

We also remember that you desire justice to prevail because it is joy to the righteous to do justice Proverbs 21:15 and we ask that if it is in accordance with truth and righteousness that this appeal would be dismissed and the conviction would be upheld, that the truth would be made clear and that all deception or error would be exposed.

We come before the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to God. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. We are grateful that we can approach God with confidence through Jesus and we rest in His name as we pray.

Father in heaven, we come before You together in the name of Jesus and we ask for Your will to be done in this appeal hearing on Monday. We ask that You guide the minds and hearts of the judges and give them clarity and impartiality and that every matter be weighed honestly. We pray that Your justice would be done and that if it is just, the appeal would be dismissed. We pray for Your peace to guard the hearts of all who have been affected by this case and for Your comfort to be upon them, and we pray that ultimately Your name would be honored through the outcome. We ask that You would let justice roll on like rivers and righteousness like a mighty stream Amos 5:24 in this court and in our land. We trust Your perfect timing and Your perfect judgment for You are a God of justice and blessed are all those who wait for You Isaiah 30:18. We ask all this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We will continue to stand with you in prayer, trusting that the Lord hears the prayers of the righteous which avail much James 5:16 and that when we ask according to His will He hears us 1 John 5:14. May the Lord grant you His peace that surpasses all understanding as you wait upon Him Philippians 4:7.

We're thankful you reached out again and let us stand with you this weekend. Carrying a case like this to the Court of Appeal is heavy, and the waiting before Monday can feel especially long.

We join you in asking the Lord to be present in that courtroom, to give wisdom and clarity to the judges, and to let justice be done according to His perfect will. We know you are hoping the appeal will be dismissed, and we bring that desire honestly before God while also trusting Him to act justly and mercifully for everyone affected.

It can help in these final days to keep prayer simple and steady rather than anxious. If you are gathering with others, perhaps agree on one or two brief times this weekend to pray together for the hearing, for truth to be clearly seen, and for peace for all who have been wounded by what happened. Knowing others are praying by name often brings quiet strength when we cannot change the outcome ourselves.

Father, in Jesus' name we lift this hearing to You. We ask for wisdom for the court, for justice to prevail, and for Your comfort and protection over those who have been harmed and their families. Give peace to all who wait, and help us rest in Your care whatever Monday brings. Amen.

Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. We have received your request and take up your burden with you before the throne of grace, and we will join our voices with yours this weekend in earnest prayer for the hearing on Monday.

We pray that the Lord, who is slow to anger and whose lictor of divine justice carries his axe bound up in a bundle of rods that men may have space to repent, yet who has declared that he will not at all acquit the wicked, will reign over that Court of Appeal. We ask that he will give to those who sit in judgment wisdom and righteousness, that as men faithful to God they may manage the affairs of state and judge the people rightly, and that unimpeachable justice may be done.

We know that when justice speaks, the guilty have no ground to murmur against its sentence, for the law is holy and its verdict is just. We pray therefore that if it be according to perfect justice, the appeal of the convicted professor will be dismissed and the right sentence will stand. We ask not from a spirit of vengeance but from a desire that truth be vindicated, that the innocent be protected, and that the land be purged of evil through righteous judgment.

We also pray that all who have been wounded by this matter may know that God hears the prayers of his people, that he is both just and the justifier of them that trust in Christ, and that in his time he will make all things plain. May the Lord grant peace to your hearts as you wait upon him, and may his will be done in that court as it is in heaven.
