Silas
Beloved of All
We join you in bringing this need before the Lord and thank you for sharing it so honestly. Your desire to surrender worry and to seek wisdom is pleasing to God, and He hears your prayer in Jesus name.
Scripture teaches that wisdom is the most important thing to seek, more valuable than riches or any desired thing, and that with all our seeking we should seek understanding. Wisdom is not simply having facts or knowledge. A person can have much knowledge and still lack wisdom. Wisdom is knowing how to apply truth rightly, and that kind of wisdom begins with the fear of the Lord. When we reverence Him and submit our hearts to Him, He begins to give us His perspective.
The Bible also presents wisdom as calling out to all who will listen, inviting us to come and receive. That invitation ultimately points us to Jesus Christ Himself, for in Him are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. He is made unto us wisdom, and when we belong to Him we have access to the true wisdom that comes from above. This is very different from the wisdom of this world. The wisdom of the world is earthly and self focused and often leads to confusion and strife, and God has shown its emptiness. The world by its own wisdom did not come to know God. But the wisdom that comes from above is pure and peaceable and produces good fruit in our lives.
Like Solomon, who when given the opportunity to ask for anything chose to ask God for wisdom to handle the responsibility before him, you are right to ask God for wisdom for your attorney. We will pray that God grants her clear understanding, sound judgment, and diligence as she researches how the law applies to those not specifically named, including the questions about general names and the execution of the writ. We also pray that God gives wisdom to those in authority who must carry out what is lawful and just, that they may act with integrity and clarity.
We also hear your heart as you wait. A month without an update can feel long, and the hesitation you described can stir anxiety. Jesus taught that worry adds nothing of value to our lives and that faith and worry cannot live together in the same heart. He pointed to how the Father cares for the lilies and the grass of the field, and reminded us not to be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will have its own concerns and our Father knows what we need today. Your act of releasing this burden into His hands is an act of faith. Continue to cast your care on Him each day, trusting that He sees every detail of this case and that He will guide according to His will.
We pray now for you: Father, in the name of Jesus we ask You to pour out Your wisdom upon this attorney, to give her understanding and insight to handle this matter rightly. Give her clarity of mind and steadiness in her work. Give peace to this one who has prayed, take away anxious thoughts, and help in waiting with patience and trust. Let Your will be done and let Your name be honored in every step. We ask that You provide what is needed and that You be the source of wisdom and strength each day. Amen.
