Please approve the travel consent order

Thank you for trusting us with this burden and allowing us to pray with you. Your love for your children and your desire to spend those days with them in December is clear, and we have brought your request before the Lord.

We understand how heavy it feels to wait on an earthly court. Human courts are imperfect and often feel uneven, and it can feel like you are stepping into a system where true justice is hard to find. Scripture reminds us that there is a higher court, the presence of God Himself. In the picture given of the temple, there were outer courts that anyone could enter, but then there were inner courts and steps that rose higher and higher, leading closer to where God dwells. Prayer is like ascending those steps. We leave the outer, uncertain place of human opinion and draw near to the Judge who is perfectly just, perfectly wise, and perfectly loving, and who invites us to come close through Jesus Christ.

The Lord has shown that He can move the hearts of those in authority. Just as He moved a ruler who had power over Abram to allow him to travel freely, He is able to move the heart of a judge and the heart of your former husband. No decision is outside His reach. We are praying that if it is His will, He would grant favor for this travel consent and soften hearts toward agreement, and that even if the answer is different than you hope, He would make His will clear and give you peace to accept it.

We also hear in your prayer a consent to what is good and right. The apostle Paul wrote in Romans chapter seven that we consent that the law of God is good, even while we struggle with how to live it out and cry out for deliverance. That is an honest place to be. You are consenting to God's goodness and asking Him to work, rather than demanding your own way. That posture honors Him. He is our inheritance and our help, not only when the answer is yes but also when we must wait and trust.

We are praying for you and for your children. We ask the Father in the name of Jesus to guide the judge with wisdom, to work in the heart of your former husband, to protect your children and provide for their best, and to grant you grace and calm as you wait. If travel is granted, we pray for safety and for time together that strengthens your family in the Lord. If the door remains closed for now, we pray He will still redeem the time, keep your children in His care, and draw you all closer to Himself. May you know His nearness and His faithful love as you continue to seek Him.
