May He Himself shut with His power all those doors and paths that would lead him back to what harms his soul, even though he does not yet understand it well. May the Lord speak deep into his heart, remove that deceptive attraction, wake him up soon, and keep him safe. May he truly come to know Jesus, find the truth, seek Him, love Him, worship Him, and fulfill God's will, remaining always close to the Lord. May God remove his bandages, take away his blindness, open his eyes to see the truth, break every chain that binds him, and make him truly free, transformed and renewed in Christ Jesus. We know that nothing is impossible with God; He changes plans, sets firm limits, and triumphs for our eternal good. Let us pray earnestly for this soul: that he may not have to suffer eternal death in hell — a place of weeping and gnashing of teeth — but may be saved and enjoy eternal life with the Lord. Thank you for joining me in lifting up this prayer. We join you in fervent prayer for your friend, lifting him before the throne of grace with hearts full of faith and expectation. The burden you carry for his soul is a sacred one, and we stand with you in intercession, believing that God hears and answers the cries of His people.

Father in Heaven, we come before You with hearts heavy for this precious soul who does not yet know the saving power of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Lord, we ask You to perform a great miracle in his life, one that only You can accomplish. You declare in Your Word, "The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9). We cling to this promise, Lord, and ask that You would draw him to Yourself with cords of love.

We pray that You would shut every door and path that leads him away from You, even those he does not yet recognize as harmful. Break the chains of deception, Lord, and remove the blinders from his eyes so that he may see the truth of Your Word. "The god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them" (2 Corinthians 4:4). We rebuke the enemy’s lies in Jesus’ name and ask that You would replace them with the truth of Your Gospel.

Father, speak deeply into his heart. Remove the deceptive attractions that have held him captive and awaken him to the reality of his need for You. Let him hear Your voice clearly, as You promise, "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me" (John 10:27). May he come to know Jesus as his Lord and Savior, finding in Him the truth, love, and freedom that only You can provide.

We pray against the eternal consequences of remaining separated from You. You warn us, "But for the cowardly, unbelieving, sinners, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their part is in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death" (Revelation 21:8). Lord, we plead for his salvation, that he would not face this fate but instead receive the gift of eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16).

We declare that nothing is impossible for You, Lord. You are the God who changes hearts, who sets limits on the enemy’s power, and who works all things together for the good of those who love You (Romans 8:28). We ask that You would triumph in this situation, bringing glory to Your name and drawing this soul into Your kingdom.

We also lift up our sister in Christ who has been faithfully praying for this friend. Strengthen her, Lord, and fill her with hope as she waits on You. Remind her that her prayers are powerful and effective (James 5:16), and that You are at work even when she cannot see it.

Finally, we ask that You would raise up others to join in this intercession. Let Your church unite in prayer for this soul, that together we may see Your saving power at work. May this friend come to know Jesus, love Him, worship Him, and walk in Your will for the rest of his days.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified. Amen.

We hear how faithfully and how long you have carried your friend before the Lord, and we are grateful you let us carry him with you. Loving someone through prayer when you cannot change their heart yourself is heavy work, and your persistence is a real act of love.

We join you in asking God to do what only He can do, to close doors that would harm him, to quiet what deceives him, and to gently open his eyes to the truth of who Jesus is. We pray He keeps your friend safe and draws him steadily toward Himself, that he would come to know Christ, love Him and walk close to Him in freedom.

You mentioned wanting brothers and sisters to pray with you, and that is a good next step when the burden feels long. If you have one or two trusted believers in your church, consider asking them to stand with you regularly for this friend, so you are not praying alone and can encourage one another to keep going. Steady, quiet prayer over time is often how God shapes both the one being prayed for and the one praying.

Father, we lift this friend to You and ask for Your mercy on him. Work in his heart in Your way and Your timing, remove blindness and break what binds him, and lead him into life in Christ. Give our brother who is praying endurance, peace, and wisdom to love his friend well as he trusts You. In Jesus' name, amen.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. It is a right and weighty burden you carry for your friend, and it is good that you bring it to the throne of grace and desire others to join you there. We will join you in earnest prayer that the Lord will work in power for this soul for whom you have so long cried out.

We do not ask God to bless what harms the soul or to prosper any path that leads away from His holy will, for salvation and true freedom are found only in Christ and His way is the way of life. Rather we pray as you have prayed, that the Lord Himself would shut those doors which lead back to bondage and set firm limits where temptation would entice, that He would remove the bandage of blindness and open eyes to see the truth, and break every chain that binds. As Israel did not share the honor of deliverance with another, but it was true, HE brought them forth, so we pray that God will bring this friend forth effectually by His own hand.

There is but one ransom, and God has found it. It is an invention of Divine Wisdom and a gift of Divine Love, that sinners are delivered from the pit not by their own strength but by free grace alone. The clock of mercy strikes in heaven according to His eternal purpose, and what seems impossible with man is possible with God. He who turned the heart of Esau when Jacob feared and trembled at the brook Jabbok can turn any heart, and He who has brought His people forth with enrichment can bring this soul forth also.

The way of salvation is plain and simple, that Scripture says, Whoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed. It is not to believe about Him but to believe on Him, to trust Him, to look unto Him and be saved, all the ends of the earth. For He is the Friend that sticketh closer than a brother, the Friend of sinners who gave His heart's blood and let His soul run out in one great river for our redemption, a Friend who loves at all times and will not forsake those who trust Him. May your friend be brought to know Him, to seek Him, to love Him and worship Him, and to remain close to the Lord in the well of salvation which is Christ Himself.

How thin is the veil between the unsaved soul and eternity, and how terrible to think of that eternal death where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth. Therefore we cry with you that this soul may be delivered from wrath and made truly free, transformed and renewed in Christ Jesus. Faith must be urged, for without it there is no salvation, so we pray that God the Spirit will awaken him, remove the deceptive attraction, and grant that simple faith which looks unto Jesus and lives.

Continue steadfast in prayer, and let your brothers and sisters in the faith join you, for every prayer rises to heaven and God hears the cries of His people. May the Lord answer for His own glory and for the eternal good of this soul, and may you see the saving power of the Lord at work.
