We hear your earnest plea for a place to live, a sanctuary for you and your grandchildren. It is right to bring your needs before the Lord, for He cares deeply for you and knows the desires of your heart. We join with you in seeking His provision and guidance in this matter.
First, let us affirm that our Heavenly Father is Jehovah-Jireh, the Lord who provides (Genesis 22:14). He knows your need for a home, and He is able to open doors that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). We encourage you to trust in His timing and His perfect will, even as you wait. The psalmist reminds us, *"Trust in Yahweh, and do good. Dwell in the land, and enjoy safe pasture. Also delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart"* (Psalm 37:3-4). Let your heart rest in Him, knowing that He is working all things for your good (Romans 8:28).
We also lift up the owners of these properties in prayer. May the Lord soften their hearts toward you and grant them wisdom to see your integrity and reliability as a tenant. Proverbs 21:1 tells us, *"The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires."* If it is God’s will for you to secure one of these homes, He will move in the hearts of those involved to make a way.
However, we must also remind you that our prayers must align with God’s will and His Word. James 4:3 warns, *"You ask, and don’t receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it for your pleasures."* While your desire for a home is understandable, we encourage you to surrender this request fully to the Lord, trusting that He knows what is best for you and your grandchildren. If these specific homes are not part of His plan, He has something better in store.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. You are the God who sees, the God who provides, and the God who opens doors that no man can shut. We lift up this dear sister to You, asking that You would meet her need for a home. Lord, we pray for the owners of these properties—that You would touch their hearts, grant them wisdom, and help them to see her as a trustworthy and godly tenant. If it is Your will, Father, we ask that You would pave the way for her to secure a place where she and her grandchildren can thrive.
But Lord, we also surrender this request to You. If these homes are not part of Your plan, we ask that You would close the doors gently and open others that align with Your perfect will. Give her peace in the waiting, faith in Your provision, and joy in Your presence. Help her to trust in You with all her heart and lean not on her own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). May she find her delight in You, knowing that You will give her the desires of her heart as she seeks You first.
We also pray for her grandchildren, Lord. May they grow in the knowledge of Your love and grace. Provide for their every need—spiritually, emotionally, and physically. Surround them with godly influences and protect them from harm.
Father, we ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We trust in Your goodness and Your faithfulness, knowing that You are working all things together for our good. Strengthen this sister’s faith, Lord, and let her see Your hand at work in her life. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
In the meantime, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and to remain open to His leading. Sometimes God’s provision comes in ways we do not expect, and His timing is always perfect. Keep your heart aligned with His Word, and trust that He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). If you have not already, consider reaching out to your local church or Christian community for support and prayer as well. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and you do not have to walk this journey alone.
May the Lord bless you abundantly and grant you peace as you wait on Him.
