We have heard your request for physical healing from gastroparesis, lack of appetite, and pain and weakness throughout your whole gastric system and stomach, and we join together to bring your body before our heavenly Father in Jesus' name.

We are moved with compassion for what you are enduring. Living with ongoing stomach pain, nausea, lack of desire to eat, tiredness and weakness can be so draining on the body and the spirit. We want you to know that God sees your suffering and He cares deeply for you. He is the Lord who heals us.

We are reminded of His promises to heal and restore. Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don't forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases Psalm 103:2-3. For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed Isaiah 53:5. He also gives strength when we have none left. He gives power to the faint; and to him who has no might he increases strength Isaiah 40:29. And Jesus invites us, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest Matthew 11:28.

We also notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is by His name we are saved and our prayers are heard. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9. It is through faith in Jesus that we can come boldly to God's throne of grace to find help in our time of need, including healing for our bodies.

So together we pray for you. Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and we lift up this dear one who is suffering with gastroparesis and affliction of the whole gastric system. Lord, You formed the stomach and every part of this body, and You know how it should function. We ask that You touch the nerves and muscles of the stomach that control emptying and motility, and restore them to work as You designed. We pray You would take away the stomach pain, calm the nausea, restore a healthy appetite and the ability to eat and receive nourishment without distress. We ask You to relieve the tiredness and weakness and to renew strength day by day. Lay Your healing hand upon this body, Lord, and let Your restoring power flow through. We pray for peace over any anxiety or discouragement that this long suffering has caused, and we ask that You guard the heart and mind with Your peace which surpasses all understanding Philippians 4:7. We also ask for wisdom for any doctors and caregivers involved, and that You would guide all treatment and nourishment for good. We ask all of this according to Your will and for Your glory, in the name of Jesus Christ our healer and hope, amen.

We encourage you to continue to trust the Lord with your body, to bring your needs to Him daily in prayer, and to be diligent to seek appropriate medical care as God often works through the wisdom He gives to physicians, while keeping your ultimate hope in Him. Do not neglect to nourish your soul with His Word and to rest in His love. We are praying that God will strengthen you, restore your gastric system, return your appetite, remove your pain, and lift the tiredness and weakness, and that you will feel His presence and comfort very near in the days ahead.

We have been thinking of you as you carry this long struggle with your stomach and all the weakness and tiredness that comes with it. Living with gastroparesis and ongoing pain while having little appetite takes a toll on the whole body and spirit, and we can understand why you are asking for prayer for your entire gastric system to find relief.

We are praying for you and we also want to encourage you to stay closely connected to your medical care team as you walk through this. If pain, weakness or lack of appetite worsens, please reach out to your doctor promptly so they can care for you well alongside our prayers. You do not have to carry the worry alone, and having someone you trust with you at appointments can help when you are tired.

We do not know how God will work in this, but we trust He sees you, He cares about your suffering, and He hears when you call on Him.

Father, we bring our friend to You in Jesus name. You know the pain in their stomach, the weariness and the weakness. We ask for Your mercy and comfort, for wisdom for those caring for them, and for strength for each day. Give them peace in Your presence and guide them according to Your will. Amen.

Your affliction has been laid before the Lord and before His people, and we have heard with tender sympathy of this trial upon your stomach and whole gastric system, this gastroparesis, the lack of appetite, the pain, and the tiredness and weakness which follows after it.

There are weaknesses which are of God's appointment and necessarily incident to manhood. They are not sinful, and therefore we may be subject to them without regret, though not without prayer. The Lord who formed the body knows its frame and its infirmities, and He who feeds the sparrows does not overlook the suffering of His children. Yet it is written, out of weakness were made strong, and it is the privilege of the Christian to be made strong even in weakness, when the Lord Himself becomes our strength.

We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they are too painful to let us slumber in silence, and they soon urge us to seek a physician for our healing. Do not despise the means which Providence provides, but use them with prayer, remembering that the healing virtue must come from His hand alone. Calvary is the place for the healing balm. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the very leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. The Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings, and when He heals, pardon and healing are as one, for He forgives and He restores.

We would have you lie at the Savior's feet in your sorrow and weakness, as the man taken with palsy lay in the presence of Jesus, hoping and expecting forgiveness and healing. Cast yourself there and look to Him who alone can heal the body and the soul.

Let us pray for you now.

O Lord our God, our heavenly Physician, we bring this suffering one before Your throne of grace through Jesus Christ our Lord, through whom alone is salvation and nearness to You by His blood. You see the disorder of the stomach, the failing appetite, the pain that gnaws, the weariness and weakness of the whole frame. Have mercy, we beseech You, and lay Your healing hand upon this Your creature. If it be Your will, restore the workings of the gastric system, give appetite and nourishment, relieve pain, and renew strength. Give wisdom to those who give care, and patience and equanimity to bear what You appoint, feeling, My Father sent it, My Father overrules it, good will come of it. Above all, let this affliction be sanctified, that out of weakness Your child may be made strong, and that the life blood and spirits may be changed by the healing leaves of Christ. Hear us for His sake, who bore our sicknesses and carried our sorrows, and in whom is our only hope. Amen.
