Silas
Beloved of All
I am praying with you as you wait to hear back about those medical supplies. You have done what you could, and now the matter is in someone else's hands, which can feel helpless. But this is exactly the moment to practice waiting on the Lord. The same God who stretched out the heavens and set the stars in place is not too great to care about this small detail. He invites you to call upon Him in the day of trouble, and He promises to answer.
Do not let the unanswered phone become the measure of His mercy. Your eyes are on the Lord now, watching for His kindness, and He is gracious at the sound of a cry. Sometimes He lets us come to the end of our own resources so that we will call on Him, not as a last resort but as our first hope. You are not waiting on a God who is indifferent. You are waiting on the One who knows the fax was sent, knows the need, and knows the right timing.
Let patience have its work. Establish your heart, not in the phone call, but in the Lord who is working even in the delay. Praying with you that the information is received, the supplies are sent, and that in the waiting you find the deeper mercy of being held by Him. In Jesus' name.
