Phil 2:9-10, gratitude

May God watch over your soul. Its good that you prayed and are praying. I find that suffering brings us closer to God even though we hate it and when suffering goes away we are sin prone. Disobedient. Less willing to worship. And drift away from regular prayer. Isn't it true. But still we hate it and we put hope in God he will become our rest and give us rest from the constant terror and worry and pain atleast make it worth it with praise and worship and faith and a love for the Father and Son and Holy Spirit. The only hope we have to escape this current evil. And death. Save our lives God so we dont die. Maybe so we don't want to die. Let us marry and find love maybe. Your will not mine. He is justified. Always good. And knows we'll from wrong. Thank you God for giving me the will to want to stay alive. Lord Yeshuas name amen.

Your plea rises from a heart that has grasped the promise of Luke 10:19, and it is well that you cling to it, for it is the very word of the living God. Yet mark this well: the authority to trample serpents is not a power you summon up by desperate cries alone, but a gift that flows from union with Christ. He has delivered us from the power of darkness, and translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son. That serpent you feel burning against you, he is a conquered foe beneath the feet of Jesus, and only as you abide in Him will you see that victory made plain in your own experience.

But first, let us speak of the forgiveness you seek. Our Master’s words are, “Man, your sins are forgiven you.” He does not half-pardon, nor does He revoke what He grants. His pardon covers all that has gone before and all that comes after, for He never issues a remission and then executes the pardoned sinner. If you look to Him alone, trusting not in your own feelings but in His finished work, there steals into the soul an inward peace that the enemy cannot counterfeit. That peace is yours by right of the blood, and it is a peace that remains when the thunderstorm rages. Satan may roar, but he cannot rend a sheep kept by the Great Shepherd. God has given commandment to deliver you, and you shall be delivered, from yourself, from old sins, from the attacks of the evil one.

Now to the burning and the assault: troubles do not spring from the dust; the Lord Himself permits the furnace. But mark the difference, this is not punishment, but chastisement. Faith comforts the child of God by assuring him of forgiveness, so that the rod is not the sword of execution. Cry to Him, “Deliver me from going down to the pit,” and rely upon the strong arm that snaps every band. You say the enemy plagues you with constant attacks, yet remember, Satan values a conquered heart as a palace, but Christ has already bound the strong man and spoiled his goods. When you are in Christ, you are in the secret place of the Most High, and the serpent’s venom cannot destroy you. Rest in that. Do not go rambling round for peace, stay at home in your closet with God, pleading the blood and the name of Jesus, and peace will come.

You ask for the ability to see this evil leave. That ability is not a thing you manufacture; it is the Spirit’s own power to apply the finished victory of Calvary. Declare the works of the Lord even now: “I shall not die, but live.” Let that be your song before the deliverance is fully manifest, for faith grasps the promise with living tendrils. Go forward, then, not in your own strength, but looking altogether to your heavenly Father. He has fetched many a soul from the very grip of the pit, from gin palaces, from theaters, from brothels, and He will fetch you from this torment. Be of good cheer; Christ has overcome the world, and in Him you have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but in Him there is a peace that passes understanding, a peace spoken from lips that cannot lie. So lift up your head, for your deliverance draws nigh.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You cry out for deliverance, quoting the promise that you have authority to trample on serpents and scorpions. Yet consider carefully: the enemy often gains a foothold where there is a self-chosen madness. A person given over to secret sins, nursing bitterness or lust, becomes no different from a demoniac in his loss of shame. The mouth, the eyes, the whole body become mere sewers of impurity. Before you command the evil to flee, examine whether you have opened a door to it. True deliverance begins with cutting off every occasion of sin, and that requires a deep and honest repentance.

You also pray in solitude, describing constant attacks. But the devil is most bold when he finds you alone. He set upon the woman in the garden when she was apart from her husband. When we are banded together with the faithful, he is far less confident. Do not isolate yourself. Flee to the assembly of the church, cling to the brethren, and seek the counsel of a wise guide. There is safety in the flock. If you bear with a friend who rebukes you sharply out of love, how much more should you embrace the correction of the Church, which acts not from insolence but from grief and care for your soul.

You ask for the ability to make this evil leave. But know that the Lord does not primarily promise deliverance from death or from every affliction; He grants something far greater, the power to despise suffering and to overcome the fear of it. By Christ’s incarnation, you have been delivered from the curse and promoted to sonship. You have received the Spirit of adoption. This is your true authority: not a magical command, but the grace to stand firm as a son, even in the flames. If a centurion, a man under authority, could trust his word to be obeyed, how much more should you trust the Word of God who has all authority? Do not fix your hope merely on the cessation of burning, but on the eternal weight of glory that makes these momentary afflictions light.

Forget not what awaits those who refuse to submit to God’s healing hand. Fire, darkness, bonds, the worm that never dies, these are not mere words. Even here, the misery of a foul prison and the company of criminals is called worse than death. Think, then, what it will be to burn forever in darkness, so utterly alone that you cannot see another sufferer, each soul trapped in its own torment. Let that thought sober you. Flee from every sin that feeds the fire, and cling to Christ with a trembling joy.

Therefore, cease demanding immediate relief on your own terms. Instead, humble yourself. Forgive every debt. Renounce every hidden vice that gives the enemy a legal claim. Come out of the wilderness and into the fellowship of the saints. Then stand in your sonship, not with pride, but with the reverence of one who has been bought with a price. Pray not only, “Remove this burning,” but, “Father, make me holy, even if I must walk through the fire.” The Spirit Himself intercedes for you with groanings that cannot be uttered. He will give you peace that surpasses any temporary comfort, and that peace will be your deliverance.
