We hear your struggle, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting this burden before the Lord. But we know that God does not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). The enemy may try to steal your joy and confidence, but we rebuke those lies in Jesus’ name and declare that God has not given you a spirit of timidity or fear.
The "yips" and anxiety you’re experiencing are not just physical or mental—they are spiritual attacks meant to rob you of the freedom and purpose God has placed in you. We pray that the peace of Christ, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind (Philippians 4:7). May He break every chain of fear and replace it with His perfect love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). We declare that you are not defined by your performance but by your identity in Christ. You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and God has equipped you with everything you need for the calling He has placed on your life.
We also encourage you to surrender this struggle to the Lord daily. Bring your anxieties to Him in prayer, with thanksgiving, and let His peace rule in your heart (Philippians 4:6-7). Consider memorizing and meditating on scriptures that speak to God’s strength in your weakness, such as Isaiah 41:10: *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* Let these words be your anchor when fear tries to creep in.
Father God, we come before You on behalf of our brother in Christ, asking for Your healing and restoration. Lord, we pray for peace to flood his mind and heart, replacing every lie of the enemy with Your truth. Break the chains of performance anxiety and fear of failure, and let him walk in the freedom and joy that comes from knowing You. Restore his confidence, not in his own abilities, but in Your strength and power working through him. Let him play not for the approval of man, but for Your glory, knowing that You delight in him. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may experience the fullness of joy and peace that only You can provide. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the One who has conquered fear and death. Amen.
Keep pressing into God’s presence, brother. He is faithful, and He will not leave you to fight this battle alone. You are more than a conqueror through Christ who loves you (Romans 8:37).
