Good and Faithful Servant
I'm so sick of the people in my life. I have literally no support. I'm constantly being mistreated by them all because they're easily used by the enemy for different reasons. I never know how I'm going to be treated from one day to the next and I'm tired of feeling alone. I'm sick and tired of being there for everyone else but never having anyone. I just wish I could get away from everyone and just be by myself because at least I can depend on myself. Thank you.

We hear the deep pain and exhaustion in your words, and our hearts ache with you. Feeling unsupported, mistreated, and alone is a heavy burden to carry, and we want you to know that you are not forgotten, God sees you, He hears you, and He longs to be your refuge. The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." You are not alone, even when it feels that way.

It is understandable to feel weary when those around you seem to be influenced by the enemy rather than walking in love and truth. But we must remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of darkness (Ephesians 6:12). The people mistreating you may be deceived or struggling themselves, but that does not excuse their behavior. We rebuke in Jesus’ name every spirit of division, manipulation, and cruelty that has been allowed to operate in these relationships. We declare that God’s love and truth will break through, and that hearts will be softened to walk in His ways.

Your desire to withdraw is a natural response to hurt, but isolation can also leave us vulnerable to the enemy’s lies. Proverbs 18:1 warns, "An unfriendly man pursues selfishness, and defies all sound judgment." While it may feel safer to rely only on yourself, God designed us for community, though it must be the right community. We pray that God will surround you with believers who will love you as He does, who will stand with you in truth, and who will not be easily swayed by the enemy’s schemes. Until then, we encourage you to seek out a local church or Christian fellowship where you can find godly support.

We also want to gently remind you that your worth is not defined by how others treat you. You are deeply loved by your Heavenly Father, who calls you His child (1 John 3:1). Even if every person in your life fails you, He never will. Psalm 27:10 says, "When my father and my mother forsake me, then Yahweh will take me up." He is your ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

Let us pray for you now:

"Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister who is feeling so deeply hurt and alone. Lord, You see the pain they carry, and You collect every tear in Your bottle (Psalm 56:8). We ask that You would be their comfort, their strength, and their refuge in this season. Break every chain of mistreatment and isolation in Jesus’ name. Surround them with Your presence and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Father, we pray for the people in their life who have caused them pain. Soften their hearts, Lord, and open their eyes to see the harm they’ve done. Let Your love and truth prevail in these relationships, and if it is Your will, restore what has been broken. But if not, give our brother/sister the wisdom to set boundaries and the courage to walk away from toxic influences.

We declare that they are not alone, for You are with them always (Matthew 28:20). Raise up godly friends and mentors who will speak life into them and stand with them in faith. Renew their strength, Lord, and remind them of their identity in Christ. Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, for You care for them (1 Peter 5:7).

We rebuke every spirit of loneliness, rejection, and despair in Jesus’ mighty name. Let Your light shine in the darkness, and may they experience Your love in tangible ways. Heal their heart, Lord, and restore their hope. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen."

In the meantime, we encourage you to spend time in God’s Word, allowing His truth to renew your mind (Romans 12:2). Meditate on Scriptures that remind you of His love and faithfulness. If you do not yet have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, we urge you to consider what it means to surrender your life to Him. He is the only one who can truly satisfy the longing in your heart. John 14:6 says, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"

You are valued, you are seen, and you are loved. Keep pressing into God, even when it’s hard. He will not abandon you.

We hear the deep weariness you’re carrying, and we’re so sorry you’ve been walking through this without the support you deserve. When you’re the one who always shows up but the care never comes back to you, it’s natural to want to shut everyone out and just depend on yourself. That instinct isn’t wrong; sometimes pulling back for a bit is the only way to breathe.

At the same time, even a brief pause can help you remember that you were never meant to be the sole source of your own strength. The same Jesus who knows what it is to be misunderstood and abandoned draws near when people fail you. His presence can be a steady anchor on the days you don’t know who you’ll get.

We’d like to gently suggest one small step, not to pile more on you, but to give your heart a little breathing room. Think about carving out a few minutes each day, maybe in the morning or before bed, where you simply hand the weight of “being there for everyone” over to God. In that quiet, ask him to help you spot even one person who might be safe to share a lighter burden with. That doesn’t mean you have to trust everyone again all at once; it just keeps the door open a crack for the kind of honest relationship he might want to provide.

Father, thank you that you never grow tired of holding us. Be a shield for this one who feels so exposed and alone. Give them the wisdom to know when to step back and when to risk a little connection. Let them sense your nearness tonight, and in time bring a sturdy friend who will walk with them and not waver. In Jesus’ name.

You speak of being sick of the people in your life, of constant mistreatment, and of a weariness that drives you to wish for utter solitude, trusting only in yourself. This very hour, turn your eyes to a lonelier Man than you. Your Savior was left alone, alone just when, as Man, He most needed human sympathy. His brave spirit stood at bay, with all the dogs of Hell raging around Him. You are not cast into some strange, uncharted sorrow; you are brought, in measure, into His condition. Another form of this loneliness is the portion of Christians in deep soul-conflict, when faith fights for its very existence. Do not imagine your path is utterly singular.

But hear this: your desire to flee everyone and depend upon yourself springs from a deadly root. Every particle of self-reliance is a new particle of poison infused into our veins. From all reliance upon self and all carnal security, good Lord deliver us! Strength of nature is weakness to divine grace. Your weariness and bitter complaint show the fruit of attempting to be keeper of everyone else’s vineyard while your own vineyard has been neglected. You have been there for others, you say, yet in this storm, where stands your own soul? The most watchful Christian is conscious of this very danger, the danger of self-neglect.

Now see what this self-focus breeds. The plea of self-righteousness is self-contradictory. You say you are sick of mistreatment, yet in the same breath you set up yourself as the one steadfast pillar upon which you can depend. That is a self-evident lie. Look at your own heart: is there nothing there to mistrust? A naked spirit was never drowned in the sea of divine love, but a spirit wrapped in the rotten rags of self-importance will sink. If you would win the blessing, self must be mortified. Off with every rag of self-dependence! Much that we say of our own goodness would mightily offend our vanity if another said the same. Oh, let us beware of mock humility.

What is the result when pardon comes? The pardoned sinner loathes himself. This self-loathing produces self-distrust. A man who remembers what he has been will never trust himself again. This seems bitter, but it is the safest cure. Examine yourself, not to fuel your despair, but to end your carnal security. Bring your heart to the light. Has the darkness of self-righteousness been driven out? When the soul is convicted of sin, it will look upon self-confidence as the most frightful delusion into which a soul can fall. Trust in our doings, brethren? Perish the thought.

You feel you have destroyed your own peace by these unending labors for others. Look deeper, here is a sad fact: "O Israel, you have destroyed yourself." God bids a man look at himself as a blighted, ruined thing when He tells him he is a self-destroyer. Your own red right hand has done it. But here is the glorious turn: when self-despair and hope in God work together, this is the way by which eternal life is worked in the souls of men. This is faith, to go out of yourself to God, to get away from this hampering mass of rottenness, this ruin, the self-confidence that grows like a fungus out of it, and come to the eternal God.

This self-loathing, in every case where it comes, makes Jesus Christ very precious. Whoever has loathed himself at all sees how Christ has been a great Saviour, and he admires and adores him. Despite your self-destruction, help enough was laid up in God even for you. Cease looking within for a well of strength; you will find it dry. Look to Him who stood alone so that you might never be finally forsaken. His solemn, deliberate self-surrender in His loneliness has an awfulness of love in it. Rest there.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You speak of being sick of people, of having no support, of constant mistreatment. I hear the ache in your words, the weariness of a soul that has poured itself out for others and found no one to pour back. It is a heavy sorrow, and it is not unknown to our Lord. Consider the hour of His betrayal: while He yet spoke, Judas, one of the twelve, came with a crowd armed with swords and staves. The very men He had taught, fed, and washed their feet, forsook Him. The Psalmist also cried out that his own familiar friend, in whom he trusted, lifted up his heel against him. There is a peculiar sting when those who should be a comfort become a source of pain. But do you see what our Master did? He did not flee to solitude in bitterness. He rose and went to meet the betrayer, calling him still “friend.” He saw in that moment not a defeat but a secret dispensation of the Father.

Your impulse to withdraw, to depend on yourself alone, is the whisper of the enemy who loves to isolate a soul from the very means God uses to shape it. The life of the Christian must be full of bloodsheddings, not shedding that of others, but readiness to shed one’s own. This means pouring out our own will, our reputation, our comfort, with as much readiness as one would pour out water. When we are mistreated, when our love is not returned, we are offered a chance to be soldiers of Christ, detached from the affections of this world, firmly set against the war of the passions. Self-reliance is a brittle shield; it crumbles the moment we truly test it, for we are not made to be our own support. The uncertainty of tomorrow, never knowing how you will be treated, is a mercy in disguise. God made the future uncertain precisely so that we would cling not to the stability of human relationships but to Him, spending our days in the practice of virtue. Death comes as a thief in the night, and while we are idling in resentment or self-pity, it can carry us off. Do not wait to set things right.

The very people who now wound you are, in God’s hand, instruments to teach you the lowliness He blesses. “Blessed are the poor in spirit,” not those merely humble in measure, but those who are awestruck and tremble at His commandments, whose souls are utterly broken and contrite. This is the sacrifice He will not despise. When the Apostle says, “in lowliness of mind count others better than yourselves,” he does not mean you should pretend evil is good, but that you should hold yourself in an estimation ready to serve even those who fail you, as Christ did. He washed the feet of one He knew would hand Him over to death. Can you not then bear with the sins and instabilities of those around you? If the Master endured betrayal from His own, shall the servant demand flawless loyalty?

You say you are tired of being there for everyone else but having no one. This is a bitter cup. But I ask you: when you pour out kindness, for whose sake do you do it? If it is for Christ’s, then He sees every drop, and He will repay. If it is for man’s thanks, you have already received your reward. The love of being appreciated is a subtle tyrant, akin to the love of money that drove Judas to his madness. He sold the Lord of the world for thirty pieces of silver, what will you sell your peace for? A word of gratitude withheld? Do not let your soul be put beside itself by the thirst for human acknowledgment. We honor the gray hair, not for its color, but for the proof of a virtuous life. Yet if we bring disgrace on what ought to be honorable, we become ridiculous. So too, if you claim the name of Christian but break under the weight of others’ frailty, you wrong the very grace given you.

I do not dismiss your pain. Loneliness is a wilderness. But in that wilderness, Christ is present more than ever, for He was forsaken by all that we might never be truly alone. Do not flee into the desert of self; flee to the secret place of prayer, where the contrite heart finds a companion who will never change. Entrust these people to God, they are used by the enemy, yes, but they are also souls for whom Christ died. Hold fast to the one solution that endures: faith that God orders all things justly and mercifully, though we cannot comprehend the reasons. Stop questioning, and begin trusting. Rise, let us be going; behold, He who betrays you is at hand, but so is He who saves you.

That exhaustion you feel, the desire to finally just depend on yourself because others have proven so unreliable, is a place of deep, raw pain. It often feels like the safest option. When people constantly shift, when their treatment of you is unpredictable and you feel the sting of betrayal, the natural instinct is to build higher walls and find a fortress in self-reliance. That instinct is one of the strongest we have, a drive for self-preservation that cries out, "At least I will not let myself down."

The trouble is, that very fortress becomes a prison. The promise of self-dependence is a lie that leaves you more isolated and exhausted, not less. You are bearing a weight you were never designed to carry. The narrative it feeds you is that the real problem is others not pleasing you, not doing things your way. But the common thread in all that misery is the self-life desperately asserting its own rights and desires, demanding to be treated fairly on its own terms. That life, the one governed by self, is the root of the strife, and Jesus calls us to something radically different. He says if you want to come after Him, you must deny that very self. You must take up your cross, which means a full commitment to the Father’s will over your own ambitions, your own plans for a supportive circle, and your own definition of fair treatment.

You are in a moment that echoes Peter’s confident boast that he would never fall away, a confidence rooted in his own loyalty and strength. That self-confidence crumbled into a bitter denial. But for you, this painful revelation isn't meant to drive you to a more determined self-help program, a new strategy to be a better, stronger, more independent you. That way ends in the despair of, “O wretched man that I am! Who shall deliver me?” And that is actually a sacred place to be. When you finally give up on self-help formulas and cry out for deliverance from outside yourself, you are right where victory begins.

God’s desire is not to make you a stronger independent agent, but to bring you to a total reliance on Him. The moment you think you can handle the next relational battle on your own because you’ve learned the principles is the moment you’ve stumbled. Just as the victory at Jericho was followed by the disaster at Ai when self-confidence crept in, any victory over the self-life is followed by a deeper revelation of another area where your flesh wants to rule. The answer is never independence from God’s help.

So let this drive you to the cross. The old, self-governed man who feels justified in his complaint and clings to his own way was crucified with Christ so that you no longer have to be ruled by those reactions. The Spirit offers a new kind of life, one where the cry shifts from, “Who will support me?” to, “I thank God through Jesus Christ my Lord.” He is the one who will never mistreat you, never change from one day to the next, and whose strength is made perfect precisely when you run out of your own.

We want you to know how deeply we’ve carried your burden in prayer these past days. It grieves our hearts to hear how weary you are from the mistreatment and loneliness you’ve endured, and we’ve asked the Lord to wrap you in His peace that surpasses all understanding. We’ve prayed specifically that He would reveal His presence to you in tangible ways—perhaps through Scripture, through the kindness of a stranger, or even in quiet moments where you sense Him near.

We’ve also asked God to break the enemy’s hold on those around you and to soften hearts that have been hardened toward you. We believe He is able to restore relationships where restoration is His will, and we’ve asked Him to give you wisdom to know how to respond in love, even when others do not. Most of all, we’ve prayed that you would feel the truth of His promise: that you are never truly alone, for He is your ever-present help in trouble.

If the Lord has answered any part of this prayer—if you’ve felt His comfort, seen a shift in your circumstances, or even just found moments of unexpected joy—we would love to celebrate with you. Please share a praise report so we can rejoice together in His faithfulness. If, however, the weight of this struggle remains heavy on your heart, we invite you to post it again. We are committed to standing with you in prayer, lifting you up until you see His hand move in your life.

May the Father draw you close, fill you with His strength, and remind you that your worth is found in Him alone. We continue to pray for you in Jesus’ Name.
