Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer for all of these people on your heart.
We have been lifting up each of these requests before the Lord and we continue to remember them in prayer.
We have been praying for the young Christian girl who has backslidden and feels isolated with no friends and who is living with her unbelieving mum where there is much arguing. We pray the Lord will draw her back to Himself and restore her fellowship with Him, that He will surround her with godly community and give her a hunger for His Word and for truth about Jesus. We pray He will deliver her from the influence of the fortune teller and show her that we must not turn to such things as the Scripture warns in Deut 18:10 and Lev 19:31, but to seek counsel from Him alone, and that He will open a way for you to encourage her even though she has not reached out. We remember the promise in James 5:19 and Luke 15:7 of rejoicing when one who has wandered returns.
We have also been praying for her Catholic friend who consults mediums and who trusts in sacraments and works rather than grace. We pray the Lord will reveal to her that we are saved by grace through faith and not of works in Eph 2:8, and that she will seek the Lord for herself and not only through what her mother believed. We pray God will deliver her from anger and gossip and the desire for revenge against her neighbour and help her to lay aside anger and slander as in Eph 4:31, and draw her and her household to seek Him and to gather with believers.
We continue to pray for her youngest son who has anger and is consumed with gaming and screens, who swears and struggles with school and insecurities and who hides behind his hoodie. We thank God that he has a Bible and a cross and that he has shown interest in Jesus and even shared the gospel with a friend at school. We pray the Lord will nurture that seed, set him free from phone addiction and anger and help him find his identity in Christ, and that he will find a church home even as a young secondary student dependent on his mum. We pray for his school struggles and his health and that God will be his comfort according to Matt 19:14.
We lift up the oldest son who does not yet believe and who holds to Greek mythology and who spends much of his time on his iPad talking to others online. We pray the Holy Spirit will open his eyes to the truth of the gospel you have shared with him through Christ, that he will come to know Jesus as the only way in John 14:6, and that God will give him protection online and peace in a home where there is much complaining and gossip, and grace for his needs as one with autism.
We pray for the grandfather who is half deaf and in pain and who feels misunderstood because of his Spanish accent and who appears to be Catholic in background. We pray God will ease his pain and give him comfort and understanding and reveal Himself to him clearly.
We pray for the husband who works so much and goes to the pub and is often tired and does not yet believe. We pray the Lord will convict him of his need for Christ, deliver him from gossip and complaining, give him rest and draw him home to his family and to faith.
We pray for the youngest son's friend who does not believe and who is bullied at school and struggling at home sharing a room with his sister and with an absent father. We pray God will protect him at school, bring peace to his home, and draw him and his sister and his mum who is somewhat Catholic but not bearing fruit to salvation, that they will see that God loves them and will seek Him while He may be found.
We also continue to pray for your own mum and your brother who are unbelievers, that God will soften their hearts. We pray for your mum who is on the fence and says she will believe when she sees healing, and for your brother who believes in evolution and walked away when healing was mentioned. We pray the Lord will reveal Himself to them and give them faith to seek and find as in Matt 7:7, and that He will heal the tonsil issues and leg and back and hip pain in your mum, the back pain in your brother, and your own constant back and leg pain according to Jer 30:17, and use healing to open their eyes to His power. We pray also for their struggles with screens and TV and phone use, anger, hygiene and sleep, that God will give them purpose and new hobbies and life in Him, and that He will strengthen you as an introvert who faithfully shares the gospel even when it is hard.
We count it a blessing to stand with you in all these things in Jesus Name. May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son Jesus Christ.
