Humble Prayer Partner
I have a lot on my mind at the moment, so this may be a lot.

Firstly, I found out like yesterday that my brother is watching South park (he has watched it before, but some reason what happened yesterday just sparked a thing in my mind for me to be like this). Yesterday, the clip was mocking Christianity, by saying 'my God why do you forsake me?' & I think it said something else too, but can't remember. My mum & brother who are both non-believers put it off as not a big deal as South park "does it to everyone".

Secondly, my mum watches things such as gogglebox, which a lot of the time ends up bringing up something horror or something nude, like it did yesterday & I said something like 'why are you watching this?' & she put it off because it's gogglebox, so because it's a show that reacts to other shows or movies, it's okay to watch in her eyes.

Third, I feel like I'm in a slump. I feel anger & judgement towards people a lot more I feel like. As of the other day when I didn't pray the armour of God prayer, I was in bed pretty much all day mostly on my phone barely spending time with God & today I've spent more time with God & done a little more than being in bed all day & did pray the armour of God prayer, but I've noticed today that something's going on, I feel so lazy & i disobey God when feeling conviction from the Holy Spirit & I don't like being in this situation. What do I do? The other day, I watched a movie that today has got to me, as the pastor in the Christian movie didn't practice what he preached & I feel the same way. As I'm a content creator & have spiritual gifts such as teaching & maybe even prophecy, I tell people to lean on Jesus, surrender to Him, don't hide from Him, etc, yet a lot of the time I don't seem to practice what I preach a little unknowingly & I feel very much a hypocrite right now. How do I get right with God?

Fourth, I'm not baptised yet & in this state am I supposed to get baptized & talk to my church about it. I have to email in, but when I did it didn't work, & I haven't redone it since. Not even fully sure if they'll do the baptism at my church as they tend to do it once a year & I wanna do it preferably in less than a year, but my fear of going underwater & a little part of not having modest clothing or not knowing what exactly to wear is holding me back from getting baptized. I did feel the Holy Spirit tugging me to get baptized at first, but it's been a while now & I'm not sure if I feel that tug anymore, what does that mean? I also have a hard time with my mindset as I appear to have a perfectionist, work based mindset with a side of (heavy) procrastination. I don't like this mindset & I wanna get out of it, but how do i do that, as well as what can I do to sort out my relationship with Jesus?

Fifth, I've been out a bit more recently & God has helped me to be a bit more social as an introvert. But, with being out more, something is happening. I feel like it may be spiritual warfare with everything on this list going on. I feel a lot more judgement towards certain people & then for guys that look a little "attractive", I tend to stare & feel a typa way & I don't like that. How do I get out of this? Could this be happening as not only the going out more, but the fact that I got in touch with a Christian guy I used to date long ago. Bearing in mind, we had been in contact after the break up at some point, so this isn't like that. But, God did help me to have a little boundary to not check if he had messaged me for so long & Jesus really helped me with that. But, now he's not replying & it's like why did I get in touch with him, especially if this is why my situation is happening again.

Sixth, I feel like spiritual warfare may also be going on in my home, as my non believing mum & brother have had spiritual incidences as of recently. For my mum, it's watching some tarot card videos when they come up from her doomscrolling (she also listens & watches a lot of things that I don't feel comfortable with, sexual, lonely, typa songs, well not all of them I guess but mostly I would say & the shows can be a bit like that too, but other things among that). For my brother, he has experienced sleep paralysis a few times & asked a demon to reveal itself to him & it did, but that doesnt seem to make him believe in the spiritual realm & he doesn't wanna call on the name of Jesus as he wants to see what would happen, but it may also be that he's too close minded, as whenever I bring up something about Jesus or the Bible, etc, he will seem so disinterested. I asked him why he does that once & he put it off as if it wasn't true, so i don't know, but it does seem that way to me. As of above, he also watches content that isn't good for him, as it may be the reason for him being like why he is (close minded to Jesus, fits of anger, sleep paralysis as maybe he opened a spiritual door, his games that he plays which is shooting people & such, doesn't go school as of anxiety, struggles with hygiene because maybe it's a lazy or depression thing, has spouts of annoying me for no reason, as I tend not to do anything back if i can help it, but it's not always that easy, but mostly not I would say, but he still decides to do so. Also, I think he has intrusive thoughts, as he mentioned something like that before & he is quite isolated, as he doesn't go school & doesn't really hang out with friends other than one who he hasn't seen for over a month, my brother also doesn't go to things like boxing & youth group, which are both local & open to him). Bearing in mind, most of the day, he is either playing those games or watching those stuff or both at the same time, which is mainly what he does when playing games.

Thank you to anyone who replies or prays for this. God bless you

We hear the weight of your heart and the many battles you are facing, spiritually, emotionally, and even within your own home. Let us come before the Lord together, lifting each of these concerns to Him, seeking His wisdom, strength, and deliverance.

First, we must address the mockery of our faith in your home. It is grievous to see the name of Christ and His Word treated with disrespect, even in jest. Jesus warned us that the world would hate what we believe because it hated Him first (John 15:18-19). But we do not respond with bitterness or anger, we respond with truth and love. Your mother and brother may dismiss it as "just a show," but we know that the enemy seeks to desensitize hearts to the things of God. We rebuke the spirit of mockery in your home in the name of Jesus! We declare that the Holy Spirit will convict them of the truth, softening their hearts to receive the gospel. We pray that you, as the light in your home, would continue to shine brightly, not with condemnation, but with the love of Christ that draws others to Him. Remember, "Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven" (Matthew 5:16 WEB).

For the content your mother watches, shows that normalize immorality and darkness, we must stand firm on God’s standards. Philippians 4:8 tells us, "Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report: if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, think about these things." We encourage you to gently but firmly express your discomfort, not from a place of judgment, but from a desire to protect your own heart and theirs. Pray for discernment in how to address this, and ask the Lord to give you opportunities to redirect conversations toward what is pure and holy.

Now, regarding your spiritual slump, we recognize this as a tactic of the enemy to wear you down. The laziness, disobedience to conviction, and feelings of hypocrisy are not from God. The enemy wants you to feel disqualified, but God’s grace is greater than your struggle! James 4:7-8 says, "Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you." You are not a hypocrite, you are a child of God who is being refined. The fact that you feel conviction shows the Holy Spirit is at work in you! Repentance is not about perfection; it’s about turning back to God when we stumble. Confess your struggles to Him, receive His forgiveness, and rise again in His strength. The armor of God prayer you mentioned is powerful, put it on daily, not as a ritual, but as a declaration of your dependence on Him (Ephesians 6:10-18).

The movie you watched that troubled you, where the pastor did not practice what he preached, is a reminder that none of us are perfect, but God’s Word is. We must hold ourselves to His standard, not the failures of others. Your calling as a content creator and teacher is sacred. Do not let the enemy use this to discourage you. Instead, let it drive you to deeper humility and reliance on Christ. "Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is from God" (2 Corinthians 3:5 WEB). Keep preaching the truth, but let your life reflect it more and more each day.

About baptism, this is a step of obedience that you must take! Baptism is not about feeling ready; it’s about obeying Christ’s command (Matthew 28:19). The fear of water or modesty concerns are understandable, but do not let them delay what God is calling you to do. If your church only does baptisms once a year, ask them about alternatives, many churches will accommodate if you explain your situation. The tugging of the Holy Spirit you felt was Him leading you; do not ignore it. "Today if you will hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts" (Hebrews 3:15 WEB). Reach out to your church again, this time, follow through. If they cannot baptize you soon, ask if there is another church or a safe, private setting where you can be baptized. This is too important to delay.

Your perfectionist and procrastinating mindset is another area where the enemy seeks to paralyze you. God does not call us to perfection, He calls us to faithfulness. Break free from this cycle by taking small, obedient steps. When you feel conviction, act immediately. When you feel lazy, get up and do something, even if it’s just opening your Bible. "Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might" (Ecclesiastes 9:10 WEB). Replace the lies of "I must be perfect" with the truth of "God’s power is made perfect in my weakness" (2 Corinthians 12:9 WEB).

Now, about the spiritual warfare you’re sensing, yes, this is real. The enemy does not want you growing in faith, reaching out to others, or standing firm in your home. The judgment you feel toward others and the lustful thoughts toward men are attacks to make you feel guilty and distant from God. But we declare that you are not condemned! "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus" (Romans 8:1 WEB). When these thoughts come, reject them immediately in Jesus’ name. Replace judgment with intercession, pray for those you feel judgment toward. Replace lust with purity, fix your eyes on Jesus and ask Him to cleanse your heart. "Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me" (Psalm 51:10 WEB).

The situation with the Christian guy you reconnected with is delicate. While it’s not wrong to have boundaries, we must examine your heart. Are you seeking validation from him? Are you hoping for a rekindled romance? If so, this could be why you’re feeling spiritually attacked. We encourage you to surrender this situation to God completely. If he is not responding, take it as a sign to let go. "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths" (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB). Focus on your relationship with Christ, not on a man. If God has someone for you, He will bring him in His perfect timing.

For your home, your mother’s involvement with tarot cards and your brother’s spiritual experiences are serious. These are not coincidences; they are open doors to the enemy. We must pray fervently for their protection and salvation. Your brother’s sleep paralysis and the demonic encounter are signs that he is being targeted because of his resistance to God. But we serve a God who is greater! We rebuke every demonic assignment against your family in Jesus’ name. We declare that your home will be a place of peace, truth, and salvation. Pray for your brother daily, ask God to reveal Himself to him in dreams, through circumstances, or through your testimony. Your mother’s fascination with tarot is dangerous; these practices open doors to deception. Pray that God will reveal the emptiness of these things and draw her to the truth of His Word. "For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:4 WEB).

Lastly, we must address the foundation of your faith. You mentioned praying and seeking God, but we want to ensure you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Salvation is not about religion or good works, it’s about believing in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, repenting of your sins, and receiving His forgiveness. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16 WEB). If you have never surrendered your life to Christ, we encourage you to do so today. Confess your sins, ask Him to be your Savior, and commit to following Him. If you have already done this, reaffirm your commitment and ask the Holy Spirit to fill you afresh.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our sister, lifting up every burden on her heart. Lord, we ask that You would strengthen her in her faith and give her boldness to stand firm in her home. We rebuke every spirit of mockery, deception, and spiritual attack in Jesus’ name. Father, soften the hearts of her mother and brother, open their eyes to the truth of Your Word and draw them to salvation.

Lord, we ask that You break the chains of laziness, procrastination, and perfectionism in her life. Fill her with Your Holy Spirit and give her the discipline to seek You daily. Forgive her for any disobedience and cleanse her heart from all unrighteousness. Help her to walk in humility and integrity as she creates content and teaches others.

We pray for her baptism, Lord. Remove every fear and obstacle, give her the courage to take this step of obedience. If her church cannot accommodate her soon, provide another opportunity. Let this act be a public declaration of her faith in You.

Father, we ask that You guard her heart from judgment and lust. Fill her with Your love for others and purity in her thoughts. Help her to surrender the situation with the man she reconnected with, let her trust in Your timing and plan for her life.

For her home, we declare that it will be a place of peace and salvation. Protect her family from every demonic attack and reveal Yourself to them in powerful ways. Let Your light shine brightly in their hearts.

Finally, Lord, we ask that You draw her closer to You. Fill her with Your joy, peace, and purpose. Let her walk in the fullness of Your Spirit, equipped for every good work. We thank You for her life and for the work You are doing in her. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

You are not alone in this battle. The Lord is with you, and we stand with you in prayer. Keep pressing into Him, He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). Take one step at a time, and trust that God is working even in the midst of the struggle. You are loved, you are chosen, and you are called for such a time as this.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
