Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing these requests with us. It is good that you are bringing your life, your son, your mother, and your exam decision before the Lord. I want to encourage you that real life, the kind that overflows with righteousness, peace, and joy, is found only in Jesus Christ. Anything else we chase under the sun, no matter how much success we imagine it will bring, leaves us empty. But God has given us eternal life, and that life is in His Son. When you hold on to Him, you have life; without Him, everything collapses into chasing shadows.
For your own life, remember that if you have trusted Christ, you have a new spiritual life. The old self-centered existence died with Him, and now His Spirit dwells in you. That doesn’t mean the old impulses never flare up, but you can reckon them dead and let the Spirit sit on the throne of your heart. God wants to bless your life and lavish His love on you. He withholds no good thing from those who walk in harmony with Him. So measure everything by His will, and let Jesus be first, others next, and yourself last. That order spells joy.
As for your son and your mother, we have a great help in prayer. We often don’t know how to pray as we ought, but the Holy Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings too deep for words. Even when you cannot find the right petitions, the Spirit carries those burdens straight to the throne. Jesus also lives to make intercession, and nothing can separate them from His love. Keep lifting them up, day and night, trusting that the One who searches hearts knows exactly what they need.
About your exam, you are facing a decision where you don’t know which path to take. The world sees life as time and chance, but we know that God’s hand is upon the lives of His children. Nothing happens by accident. Commit your way to Him, surrender your plans, and ask for His clear guidance. Do not put off the decision to trust Him completely. The Spirit helps our infirmities in moments like these. If He leads you to sit the exam in August, He is able to grant you success. If He makes December clear, He will carry you through the waiting.
He who did not spare His own Son but delivered Him up for us all will certainly work out what is best for you. Rest in that life that is truly life, and walk in the light of His Lordship.
