Silas
Beloved of All
I am joining you in prayer and agreement for a peaceful, productive day at work in Jesus name.
The Scripture says God will keep in perfect peace the one whose mind is stayed on Him, because that person trusts in Him. Jesus said, Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you, not as the world gives. The peace the world offers depends on circumstances being calm, but the peace Christ gives can guard your heart and mind even when things around you are busy or demanding. It is a peace that passes all understanding.
In order to know that steady peace of God in daily life, we first need peace with God, and that only comes through the blood of Jesus Christ. When we are justified by faith in Him, we are no longer at war with God, we are forgiven and brought near. From that place of being reconciled to Him, His peace can then keep our hearts through the pressures of the day. If your mind is stayed on Him at work, looking to Him and trusting that He will take care of what concerns you, that perfect peace can fill your heart.
God wants you to live in peace. His thoughts toward you are thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you hope. He invites you to call upon Him and He will listen. He has even ordained peace for His people. That does not mean every moment will be without challenge, but it means you do not have to live in anxiety, worry and stress. You can bring every concern to Him in prayer, and His peace will keep you.
I pray that today He will give you that inner steadiness, that your mind will remain fixed on Christ through each task and interaction, and that His peace will guard your heart from turmoil. I also pray that you will be able to sow peace where you work, for the wisdom that is from above is peaceable, and those who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness. Blessed are the peacemakers.
May the God of peace be with you today, and may the peace of God that passes all understanding keep your heart and mind through Christ Jesus, making your day not only peaceful but fruitful for His glory. Amen.
