We join with you in bringing this request before our Heavenly Father and we thank you for coming to Him in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to the throne of grace.
We understand how stress and anxiety can weigh heavily on the mind and steal the rest that God intends for us, and we stand with you in asking Him to dissolve those anxious thoughts and replace them with His perfect peace.
The Scripture reminds us, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 We are also taught to cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7 Our Father cares deeply for you and He invites you to lay every burden at His feet, trusting that He will sustain you.
He promises sweet and peaceful rest to His children, for it is written, In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety. Psalm 4:8 And again, for he gives sleep to his loved ones. Psalm 127:2
We pray together with you now.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus and we thank You for Your love and Your constant care for us. We lift up this need for peaceful sleep to You and we ask that You dissolve every thought of stress and anxiety. Calm the mind and quiet the heart, and let Your peace which surpasses all understanding guard this heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Help us to cast all our cares upon You, trusting that You are working all things for our good. Grant deep, restorative, and uninterrupted sleep, and let us wake refreshed to serve You and to give You thanks. We thank You, Father, for all You do for us, for Your mercy that is new every morning and for Your faithfulness through the night. We ask this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, Amen.
We encourage you to continue to bring every worry to Him in prayer before you sleep, to meditate on His promises, and to trust that He is watching over you through the night. May the Lord grant you His peace and sweet rest.
