Chrysostom
Beloved of All
We have heard your prayer for your son and we join you in bringing him before the Lord with thanksgiving for your faithful love and care for him.
We pray that the Lord who neither slumbers nor sleeps, who keeps watch over His people day and night, will grant your son a peaceful night and peaceful days. Sleep is a gift from God for our rest and healing, and we ask that God will quiet every source of distress, confusion, restlessness, fear and anxiety, and give him calm in body, mind and spirit. May he eat his meals in peace with gratitude and contentment, sleep without disturbance, and wake refreshed and strengthened.
We ask the Lord to clothe him with His protection and to surround him with His presence. We pray that He will put upon him the full armor of God, the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the readiness of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God, and that His angels will encamp around him and guard him in all his ways. We pray that no weapon formed against him will prosper and that every spirit of fear, torment and confusion will depart at the name of Jesus, and be replaced by the peace of God which surpasses all understanding.
We pray for healing and restoration in every part of his life. By the wounds of Christ we are healed, and we ask the Lord in His mercy to bring calm to his mind, comfort to his body, and strength to his spirit, easing the burdens of autism, trauma, anxiety and sensory challenges, and removing pain and discomfort. We ask for grace over his routines, his schedule, his activities, his outings and his travels, that he may adjust with ease, communicate with gentleness and confidence, and find joy and satisfaction in what he does.
We pray for his relationships. We ask God to anoint the bond between him and his sisters with love, compassion, forgiveness and unity, and to restore what has been strained. Remove from your home every influence that brings division, disrespect and isolation, and bring instead godly friendships, mentors and caregivers who will encourage him and bring out the best in him with patience, gentleness and kindness. Give his caregivers, and you as his mother, wisdom, patience and discernment to know what is right and to do it with love. Guide every meeting and every decision about his services, that they may lead to true help and growth.
We thank the Lord for the peaceful days He has already granted and for the victories He has won. We stand with you in agreement, trusting His promise that where two or three are gathered in His name He is present, and that He hears our prayers according to His perfect will. May His light fill your home, dispel every shadow, and guard your whole household in His calm, joy and safety.
We will continue to pray that your son will be filled with the Holy Spirit and with peace, joy, clarity and favor, and that your family will be kept steadfast and watchful in faith, guarding your hearts and remaining sober and alert in Christ. May the Lord guide you with wisdom and keep you all in His grace.
In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, Amen.
