We join with you in lifting your son before the Lord and thank you for sharing this burden with us. Your love and constant care as a parent reflects the anxious love of which Scripture speaks, and God sees both your faith and your weariness as you pray night and day for your child.

We pray now that the Lord will grant your son a peaceful night and peaceful days to follow. May Christ, who humbled Himself to be called Son of David so that He might make us sons and daughters of God, draw near to your son and let him know that he is held as a child of the Father. We ask that the Lord calm every stirring of confusion, restlessness, anger, uneasiness, frustration and anxiety, and that He guard his mind, body and spirit. We ask for peace over his meals, that he may eat with calm and thankfulness and be satisfied, and for peace over his sleep, that he may rest without disturbance and wake refreshed.

We pray that the Lord will clothe him with His protection and with the armor of light. As Scripture teaches, the night is far spent and the day is at hand, and the armor of God is armor of light that makes His people secure and bright. We ask that the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the readiness of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, would guard him. We ask that no weapon formed against him would prosper and that the Lord would keep far from him every spirit of fear and torment, and every habit and distress that robs him of peace.

We pray for healing according to the mercy of Christ, by whose wounds we are healed. We bring before the Lord your son's needs related to autism, trauma, anxiety and sensory challenges, and ask for comfort where there is discomfort, relief where there is pain, and clarity where there is confusion. We ask that setbacks would be replaced by steady growth, and that the Lord in His lovingkindness would grant many more peaceful days.

We pray also for you, your family and all who care for him. May God fill you and his caregivers with wisdom, patience, discernment and a gentle heart. We ask that the Lord will provide dedicated and caring helpers who will bring out the best in him with calm and kindness, and that He will give you wisdom in every meeting and decision concerning his care and services. We pray that He will strengthen the bonds between your son and his siblings and your whole household with love, compassion and unity, and guard your home from division and harmful influences. May He surround your family with godly friendships and mentors who encourage you, and may His presence fill your home with calm, joy and safety.

We thank God for the victories He has already given and we trust that He hears the prayers of those gathered in the name of Jesus, for where two or three are gathered in His name He is present. We continue to seek Him with you, asking that His will be done and that His peace, which surpasses all understanding, would guard your son and your whole household today and always.

In the name of Jesus Christ, our only Savior and hope, we pray. Amen.
