Beloved of All
We join you in prayer for your son tonight and thank you for sharing this burden with us. Your love as a parent reflects the mercy that God shows to His children, and we ask Him to pour out that mercy upon you and your household.
We pray that the Lord will grant your son a peaceful night, free from confusion, restlessness, anger, fear and anxiety. Scripture teaches that the night is far spent and the day is at hand, and that God clothes His people with armor of light. We ask that Christ, who humbled Himself to be called Son of David so that we might become sons of God, will surround your son with that light and with His peace that surpasses all understanding. May that light dispel every shadow of fear and torment, and may your son sleep without disturbance and wake refreshed and joyful.
We ask for healing in his mind, body and spirit. By the stripes of Jesus we are healed, and we ask the Lord to bring calm to his sensory challenges, to ease physical distress, and to bring restoration where there has been anxiety and trauma. We pray that every negative habit and rigidity will depart at the name of Jesus, and that he will be filled with the Holy Spirit, with clarity, contentment and gratefulness. We ask God to place His hedge of protection around him, to clothe him with the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God, and to command His angels to guard him in all his ways.
We also pray for you, for his caregivers, family and friends. We ask God to give you wisdom, patience and discernment as you make decisions for his care, and to provide dedicated, gentle and godly caregivers and mentors who will bring out the best in him with kindness and calm. We pray for unity, love and compassion among his siblings and for godly friendships that will encourage him and help him feel included, respected and loved. We pray that your home will be filled with calm, joy and safety, and that God will guide all his daily routines, meals, activities and relationships, so that he may adjust with ease and communicate with confidence.
We thank God for the victories He has already given and for His great lovingkindness in giving us time to be washed and renewed in Christ. We trust that as two or three gather together in the name of Jesus, He is present among us and hears our prayers according to His perfect will. May you and your children rest tonight in the security and liberty that comes from belonging to Christ as sons and daughters of light, and may you continue to pray night and day with hope, knowing that He hears you.
