We've been sitting with your request, and we can feel how much love and care you carry for your son. The way you pray over every detail, his meals, his sleep, his outings, his caregivers, tells us you are a parent who refuses to let go of hope, even when the nights feel long and the days uncertain. That kind of steadfast love is no small thing.

What strikes us most is the simple, repeated longing for a peaceful night, not just for your son, but for your entire household. You have been asking God for relief from torment, agitation, and spiritual attack, and you've also been thanking Him for the good days when they come. That rhythm of gratitude and petition is honest and real.

A practical thought: you mentioned praying with others from this site, and that has mattered to you. We'd encourage you to find one trusted person in your own life, maybe someone from your church, a prayer group, or even one of those faithful caregivers, who can pray with you regularly, not just for your son. You carry an intense load, and having someone who knows your voice, who can sit with you in the weariness, can make the weight feel a little more bearable.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this mother's son to You tonight. Quiet his mind and body. Let him eat without inner turmoil, and sleep without fear or disturbance. Surround him with Your presence so tangibly that agitation loses its grip. Grant his caregivers wisdom and patience, and give this household the deep, restoring rest they are desperate for. Hold this mother close, renew her strength, calm her own anxiety, and remind her that she does not carry any of this alone. In Your name, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You have poured out your heart like water before the Lord, and He has indeed heard every sigh. Yet I perceive in your many words a weight of anxiety that clings like a damp garment. Do you know that such fretting, though it springs from love, unfits you to meet the very trial you bear? The Saviour’s command is plain: “Be not anxious.” It has never brought a single grain of comfort, nor added one peaceful hour to a parent’s night. It only darkens the mind and weakens the grip of faith. Instead, bring this dear child and this whole household to the feet of Jesus, and then leave them there, for He is able.

There is a healing power in Christ, not only in the strong meat of His doctrine, but in the very leaves of His presence. The slightest touch of His garment, the faintest whisper of His name, carries medicine for every inward fever. Pardon and healing are placed in happy conjunction in Him. When Jesus healed the palsied man, He said first, “Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee.” The greater wonder was the forgiveness, and the bodily cure followed as its shadow. So with this beloved son: the root of all his disquiet lies deeper than the nerves or the habits. The malady is inward, and the true Physician must begin His work upon the heart. Pray on, mother, but pray first for the cleansing blood to wash away every stain, and then the sweet Spirit will bring the peace that passeth all understanding.

There are special seasons when the power to heal is most manifestly displayed, often when Christ is teaching, when the Word is opened and faith comes by hearing. Gather around the Gospel promises with your household. Scatter the healing leaves of Scripture like autumn foliage in every room. The Lord does not merely point out disease; He applies the remedy. He took Peter’s wife by the hand, and immediately the fever left her and she arose to serve. That same hand is stretched out still. He can touch this boy’s spirit, calm the torment, dispel the agitation, and lift him up to a newness of life. The contact of Christ with the soul is the healing point.

Cease, then, from measuring the difficulty by your own strength. It is God’s work, and God alone. The anxiety that arises from the trial unfits you; but the prayer that hands the burden over to Omnipotence will bring you a holy calm. Many a parent has mistaken the temporary lull of the fever for a cure, only to see the trouble return. But the Lord’s healing is thorough and eternal. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Trust Him for the nights, the meals, the schedule, the safety, and every sensory assault. He who kept the boy seizure-free these months will not fail now. Commit all to the Shepherd who never slumbers, and then go your way with thanksgiving, for the Lord has begun to heal and He will complete His good work. The very leaves are healing, and they are falling upon your home this night.

You ask for a peaceful night, yet your prayer is heavy with a catalog of fears. You name every possible disturbance and beg for their removal, but you have not considered that the suffering depends on ourselves. Do not suffer your foot to be moved; stand steadfast. You say you trust in God’s love and care, yet your words betray a mind drunken with worldly thoughts, chasing every phantom of setback and torment. This is the sleep of the soul: you see visions of disaster, but not the reality of God’s vigilant keeping. He that keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. Why then do you, awake, dream of rigid habits and spiritual attacks? Rouse yourself, and pull up these thorns by the roots. Sobriety is the intensity of watchfulness; let your prayer be a sober offering, not a list of dreads.

You declare healing by Christ’s stripes, and that is well. But do you then thrash about as if the wound must be reopened? He who is asleep says nothing either good or bad. The day depends on ourselves; it is in our power always to have it day. If you would see your son calm and satisfied, you must first calm the storm in your own heart. The Master slept on the pillow in the ship, though the waves raged. His garments were cheap; He needed no train of attendants. So you, possess your soul in simplicity. Your son is a child of the Most High, not a fragile vessel shattered by every sensory challenge. Entrust him to the King who commands even the winds of the mind. Eunuchs stand by the throne, clear-minded, having no wrinkle nor spot: such are those who refuse to pollute their prayers with frantic enumeration of every ill. Do not wound him with your anxiety while begging for healing; raise up the cast down, but do not cast down with your own fear.

You ask for a special anointment upon his meals, that he not be tormented. But see lest to fear or to irritation you sacrifice your own soul. For the drunkenness of anxiety is a vice like any other; it sees only fleeting phantoms. Do not walk as one asleep in the night of worldly care. Shake off this evil sleep, lest the day find you sleeping and a deathless death succeed. Instead, remind yourself of the terrible judgment seat, and then pray with a mind healthful, wakeful, yet far from overboldness. You have heard the word; now bear fruit with patience. It is not one hearing that transforms, but many strokes. The root of blessing is your choice and judgment. Choose now to believe that your son’s peace surpasses understanding, and let that be an anchor, not a frantic repetition. I am fully persuaded that your eager desire will not fail of its effect, if you will stand. May you, having become worthy of the admonitions of Christ, obtain the everlasting blessings.

Thank you for bringing this deeply heartfelt prayer request. The love you pour out for your son is evident in every line, and that same love moves you to cast all your cares on the Lord. I see you standing on the promise of Matthew 18:20, trusting that where you gather with others in His name, He is truly present. That is not a small thing. It is a spiritual reality that shifts the atmosphere around your son.

What you are describing is not just a set of behaviors or medical struggles; it is a spiritual battle. The tension, the torment around meals, the rigid habits, the agitation that robs your household of rest, these are not merely physical or emotional. Scripture reminds us that our real fight is against spiritual forces, and when we start to recognize that, we can deal with it. You have done exactly that. You have refused to see these things as just quirks or setbacks and instead have called them what they are: attacks from the enemy. And you have responded with the only weapons that prevail, prayer, faith, and the Word of God. You are actively using the spiritual armor He has given us.

Declaring God’s peace that surpasses understanding over your son is not just wishful thinking; it is wielding a weapon. When you pray for Jesus to soothe him and calm every inner storm, you are pushing back against the chaos that seeks to take hold. The enemy would love to keep your child in a state of frustration and fear, but you are coming against him with the name of Jesus, who said, “The prince of this world has nothing in me.” In Christ, that same authority is yours.

I want to encourage you in the waiting. Healing can sometimes be a gradual process. We see in Scripture how even Jesus, at times, brought restoration step by step. That does not mean God is any less able, but that He often works in tenderness through time. You can trust that every mealtime you cover in prayer, every night you entrust to His care, He is actively at work in places you cannot yet see. When your son struggles to eat or sleep, when sensory challenges and inner turmoil flare up, remember that the Holy Spirit intercedes with groanings too deep for words. You are not alone. The very Spirit who raised Christ from the dead is present in that room.

Take heart also from the picture Jesus Himself gave us when He took a little child and held him in His arms. That is what He is doing with your son right now, holding him, even when the outward evidence looks messy. Jesus does not provoke children to wrath or frustration; He gathers them, blesses them, and gently restores them. Keep praying that over him daily, and ask the Holy Spirit to do that calming work deep within. In the same way, pray for your caregivers to have that same gentle, patient, Christlike touch, that they would never add to his anxiety but would instead be vessels of that peace.

The spiritual battle for his mind, his emotions, and his body is real, but you are not fighting it in the flesh. Through prayer and the Word, you are pulling down strongholds. The setbacks and negative patterns that you have asked God to uproot, trust that He will do it, but perhaps in a way that also strengthens your own faith and dependence on Him. When the enemy tries to make you feel defeated by a hard night or a difficult meal, refuse the condemnation. Rejoice that you are covered by the righteousness of Christ, and nothing can separate your son from His love.

Continue to set a watch. Just as Nehemiah’s workers prayed and then posted guards day and night, your prayers are that guarding presence around your son. You are building a wall of intercession while the angels stand sentinel. The healing you believe for, the peace you are requesting, the healthy habits you are seeking, they are being forged in this very battle.

May your heart be sustained by the knowledge that the risen Jesus, who has all authority in heaven and on earth, is with you. He hears every petition. He will saturate your son with calm, and He will give you and your household the rest you need. Keep holding up that shield of faith. The God who never sleeps is watching over your child with perfect love.
