Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, so that I can trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. You describe a storm within your household, a son whose agitation disturbs the night and breaks the calm. This is a heavy trial, and I see your love for him in every line of your prayer. Yet consider what you are doing: you have turned your home into a marketplace of cares, multiplying words and anxieties as if the Lord did not already know your need. The vessel which is free from confusion sails with a fair wind, but you are filling your chamber with the noise of a thousand petitions. The soul which is separated from worldly matters rests in harbor, yet you seem tossed by every wave.

You ask for peace, but peace is not found in the mere removal of discomfort. It is a gift of the indwelling Spirit, a calm that remains even when the outward circumstances rage. Think of Noah, who lived amid a generation given over to eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, utterly insensible to the coming judgment. They spoke of peace and safety, and sudden destruction came. True peace is not the absence of trial; it is the presence of Christ in the midst of it. Do not seek merely a quiet night, but seek the God of peace Himself. When your son fusses and you feel the turmoil rise, do you yourself remain settled as in a harbor? Your own agitation feeds the tempest. The mother who sits in her house as in a school of true wisdom can collect her thoughts and apply herself to prayer without a crowd of cares. She then receives her agitated husband, or her restless son, and calms him.

The weapon you have been given is the Cross. Sign it over your son, over his bed, over his meals, over your own anxious heart. This is your only remedy. Do not let your mind run after a hundred other things, wondering about amulets or formulas or the perfect arrangement of schedules. I hear you rebuking negative habits and declaring healing in great detail, but the power is not in the enumeration of symptoms. It is in the name of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who loved us and gave Himself for us. When they accused our Lord of making Himself the Son of God, He held His peace, fulfilling the Scripture that says, In His humiliation His judgment was taken away. He entrusted Himself to the Father who judges justly. You must learn a similar silence of soul. Entrust your son to the Father’s care, not by ceasing to pray, but by ceasing to be troubled.

Your prayer mentions Matthew’s promise, Where two or three are gathered in My name, there am I. This is true. But carrying the weight of the world on your own shoulders is not gathering in His name. It is gathering anxiety. After you have poured out your soul, take up the Scriptures and call your household to reflect on what God has spoken. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Let the Word dwell in your home, and let your own demeanor be its first fruit: a spirit not of fear, but of power and love and a sound mind. You long for your son to be calm, joyful, and obedient. Model these very things before him. A pious and sensible woman can mold a soul as no teacher or ruler can, for her counsel carries the sweetness of love.

One thing more. You speak of rebuking spiritual attacks, and this is right. But be certain your own weapons are heavenly. Amulets and charms are an abomination, though they be marketed by those who mouth the name of Christian. The old woman may say she calls on God and does nothing extraordinary, but the thing is idolatry. Your sole weapon is the Cross; your sole remedy, the power of Christ. Do not mingle light with darkness. Do not, out of desperation, reach for any rope but the one let down from heaven, which is the mercy of God in Jesus Christ. He has so loved you, even in your present anguish, that He gave His only begotten Son. Will He not also with Him freely give you all things, including a peaceful night for a weary child and his mother?

Cease from the frenzy of many words. Go into your chamber, shut the door, and there present yourself as a living sacrifice. Ask for the peace that surpasses understanding to guard your own heart and mind first. From that harbor, you will be able to calm the storm around you.

Your plea for your son rises before the throne of the One who knows what it is to give a beloved son. God did not spare His own Son but delivered Him up for us all, and that unshakable love now becomes the ground of your confidence. When you cry out for peace, you are asking in the name of Jesus, the Son of God, whose very presence silences storms and brings order out of chaos. He is not distant from your anguish; He drew near to us in the flesh and understands every restless hour.

Everything you seek for your son, healing, calm, sound sleep, freedom from torment, is bound up in this truth: that eternal life is in the Son. Whoever has the Son has life, and that life carries with it all the resources of heaven. So when you speak peace over your child, you are not wishing upon the wind. You are applying the finished work of Jesus, by whose stripes we are healed. His record stands: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. No enemy, no agitation, no fear can survive where that life reigns.

The Father testified from heaven, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” That same delight now rests on all who are in Christ, and through adoption you have become a child of God. So you pray not as a stranger, but as one calling out with the Spirit of the Son in your heart, crying, “Abba, Father.” Because you belong to Him, your words carry weight. The One who raised Jesus from the dead hears you and will move.

You have rebuked the darkness in the mighty name of Jesus. Hold fast to that. The Son of God was revealed to destroy the works of the devil, and no weapon formed against your son can prosper. Where confusion and torment have tried to take hold, declare that only the mind of Christ remains. The peace that surpasses understanding will guard your son’s heart and mind, for the Spirit does not bring a spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind.

Meditate on this: God so loved that He gave His only Son. If He did not withhold that greatest of gifts, will He not freely give every mercy your son needs? The same voice that calmed the sea speaks shalom over your household tonight. I agree with you that every setback is broken and that a fresh season of restoration has begun. May your entire home be saturated with the presence of the Lord, and may you all rest secure in the shadow of the Almighty.
