Silas
Beloved of All
The weight of a parent’s love comes through in every line you wrote, and it does not go unheard. You anchored your prayer in the promise that where even two gather in Christ’s name, He is right there. That is solid ground. The same Jesus who walked Galilee is the eternal Son of God, fully able to reach into your son’s room tonight and quiet every storm inside him.
I think of the nobleman who came to Jesus, desperate for his son who lay sick many miles away. Jesus did not go with him. He simply spoke the word, and at that very hour the fever broke. Distance is no barrier to the Son of God. His authority over anxiety, confusion, and every tormenting thought is just as absolute now. So when you ask for a peaceful, calm night for your son, you are not asking too much. You are asking the One who commanded the wind and waves and they obeyed. The same voice that said, “I am the light of the world,” still cuts through the deepest darkness of the human heart and mind.
There is something I want to hold before you gently. Healing can come in a moment, but Scripture also shows us a man whose sight returned gradually, first seeing men as trees, then fully restored. Each stage was a work of God. Do not mistake a process for a denial. The very way our bodies and minds are knit together, designed by the Creator, often becomes the pathway for His restorative work. A meal eaten without distress, a car ride free from terror, a schedule adjustment met with calm rather than rigidity, these can all be divine touchpoints, as truly from Him as a sudden miracle. Every peaceful night you’ve already tasted was foretaste of His faithfulness, not a fluke.
You spoke the truth when you declared that by Jesus’ stripes your son is healed. That healing was purchased at the cross, where the Son of God glorified the Father by pouring out His life. Because of that, you are not just a petitioner; you are a child of the Most High, crying out from a place of adoption. The Spirit who raised Christ from the dead is the same Spirit you are inviting to saturate your son’s mind, body, and spirit. He can replace torment with peace, and stubbornness with a quiet, willing heart.
When the enemy tries to paint a different picture, hold to what the Father has revealed: Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of the living God. That confession is the bedrock of the church and the anchor of your hope. No spiritual attack, no word curse, no plot of isolation can overturn what He has secured. Your son is His, and you are asking the One who gave His own Son for our sakes. Rest in that. Keep bringing your requests, keep believing, and keep your eyes on the Son, for whoever has the Son has life. He is with you both tonight, and He will not fail.
