We join with you in lifting up your precious son before the throne of grace tonight and we thank you for sharing this burden with us so we can stand together in agreement for his peace.

We hear your heart as you describe the sudden shift from a calm night to confusion, moodiness, restlessness, anger, uneasiness, frustration and anxiety, and we know how heavy these setbacks can feel after seeing more peaceful days. We are reminded that our God is the God of all comfort and that He invites us to bring every care to Him. 1 Peter 5:7 tells us to cast all our worries on him, because he cares for us, and Philippians 4:6-7 tells us In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. That peace that surpasses all understanding is what we are asking for over your son tonight, a deep calm that only Christ can give.

We pray together now for his night and for your household.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come boldly before You and we thank You that it is only through Jesus that we have access to Your presence and that there is no other name by which we are saved. Acts 4:12. We lift up this beloved son to You and we ask that You saturate him with Your peace, joy, satisfaction, gratefulness, clarity and favor tonight. We ask that You command a peaceful and calm night over him, that he will lie down and sleep in peace, for You alone make us dwell in safety. Psalm 4:8. We rebuke and renounce every spirit of fear, torment, anxiety, confusion, frustration and spiritual attack that would seek to disrupt his peace, for God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7. We command every negative habit, rigidity, screaming, anger and restlessness to bow to the name of Jesus and depart from him and never return.

We ask for Your healing touch upon his mind, body and spirit. By Your stripes he is healed. Isaiah 53:5. We bring before You the challenges of autism, PTSD, anxiety and sensory difficulties, and we ask for restoration, comfort and relief from every source of physical distress, discomfort and pain. Let him eat in peace, sleep without disturbance and wake refreshed and full of Your joy and strength. We pray You will calm his schedule, his meals, his routines, his activities and his interactions, and help him to adjust with ease and to communicate with gentleness and confidence.

We surround him in prayer with Your hedge of protection and we declare that no weapon that is formed against him will prevail. Isaiah 54:17. We clothe him in the full armor of God, the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the readiness of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit which is Your Word. Ephesians 6:11. We ask that You command Your angels to encamp around him and guard him in all his ways. Psalm 91:11. Let not one thing enter his life unless it goes through the blood of Jesus Christ.

We also lift up his caregivers, you, your family and friends, and we ask that You fill each one with wisdom, patience and discernment. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:5. Guide you with Your wisdom and knowledge to do all the right things to help him be the best he can be, and guide him with a gentle heart toward those who care for him. We pray for godly mentors and friends who will encourage and uplift him, and for additional dedicated caregivers who will bring out the best in him in a gentle, calm and caring manner. We ask for Your special anointing on all his meetings, services and daily activities, that they would bring miracles, breakthrough, victory and success.

We pray for restoration and unity between him and his siblings and for Your love, compassion and peace to fill all those relationships. Remove and redirect every division, isolation, strife and negative influence, and bless your household with uplifting godly friendships. We thank You for the victories You have already won and for the more peaceful days You have faithfully granted, and we trust You to turn every setback into blessing. We stand on Your promise that where two or three are gathered together in Your name, there You are in the midst of them. Matthew 18:20. We agree together that Your will be done and that he will be filled with the Holy Spirit and with an abundance of peace, joy, favor and satisfaction.

We encourage you to continue to speak the Word of God gently over him in the evening, to keep a calm and predictable bedtime routine, and to let prayer and soft worship be the atmosphere of your home. Do not fear, for we are with you, says the Lord in Isaiah 41:10, Fear not, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Keep casting your cares on Him and resting in His faithful love, for He gives sleep to His beloved and His mercies are new every morning.

We declare breakthrough over every area of his life, his health, his habits, his communication and his daily routines, and we pray that Your bright light will dispel every shadow of darkness in your home and fill it with calm, joy, peace and safety. Let him be a beacon of Your light, reflecting Your love and grace in all he does, and let him always feel included, respected, accepted and loved. We pray for complete restoration for you and your children and for an unbreakable bond of love, joy, peace and happiness that honors You.

We thank You Father for hearing our prayer and we trust You to answer according to Your perfect will. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.

We hear your heart for your son tonight, and how hard it is when a calm evening suddenly turns into confusion, restlessness and anxiety. You love him so deeply and you are carrying so much as you watch for his peace and comfort. Thank you for letting us pray with you.

We join you in thanking God for the more peaceful days you have seen, and we understand how discouraging it feels when a setback comes. Those ups and downs are exhausting, especially when you are advocating for him, coordinating caregivers, and holding your household together. Please know we are praying for you too, for strength and rest as you care for him.

One small thing that often helps in these tender nights is to keep a brief note of what was happening right before the restlessness began, what helped calm him, and how he slept, so you can share it with his caregivers and his care team. It gives them a clearer picture to support him well, alongside prayer. If these anxious or restless times continue, it is wise to keep his doctors or therapists updated as well.

Father, we lift this precious son to You tonight. Surround him with Your peace and guard his mind and body as he sleeps. Ease his anxiety and discomfort and grant him a calm, restful night. Give his mother and caregivers wisdom, patience and gentle hands, and fill this home with Your quiet presence. Guide each decision for his care. In Jesus' name, amen.

We join you before the throne of grace in prayer for your son and for your household, and we thank you for laying this burden so openly before the Lord and before His people.

There is a word of comfort for such a night as you describe, for sleep is the gift of God. We think that we lay our heads upon our pillows and therefore we sleep, but it is not so. The Lord Himself must give it, for so He giveth His beloved sleep. That sleep is not only of the body but of contentment and of security, a rest which comes when the soul is stayed upon Christ. We pray that the Lord will tonight bestow upon your son that quiet gift, that He will still the confusion and restlessness and clothe his mind in peace, and that He will grant to you and to all your house a calm that surpasses all understanding, which keeps heart and mind through Christ Jesus.

We hear how anxiety has pressed upon you, and we are reminded how the very anxiety which arises through being in a difficulty unfits us to meet that difficulty. Cast then your care upon Him, for He careth for you. Your watchfulness as a parent is right and good, but anxiety confined within yourself will bring no good. Tell it unto the Lord, and leave it there, trusting His wisdom to guide you and your family and all those who care for your son to do that which is right and gentle and patient in His sight.

We pray also for healing, and we point you to the one great Healer. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing virtue. He healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds, and when He came He took our sicknesses upon Himself. Healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction in Christ, for He said, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee, and by His stripes we are healed. We ask the Lord to lay His pardoning and healing hand upon your son in mind and body and spirit, to ease every source of distress and discomfort, to give him to eat in peace and to sleep without disturbance and to wake refreshed. Whether it be autism or fear or sensory trial or the memory of past trouble, we ask that the Lord will be his portion and his strength, and that He will make His grace sufficient for each need according to His perfect will.

We pray as you have prayed, that the Lord will surround your son with His hedge of protection, that no weapon formed against him shall prosper, and that He will clothe him with the whole armor of God, the belt of truth and the breastplate of righteousness and the readiness of the gospel of peace and the shield of faith and the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God, and that ministering angels may encamp around him. We ask for wisdom and patience for you and for every caregiver, that all things permitted to enter his life may be filtered through the love and blood of Christ, and for godly friends and mentors who will encourage him and for restored bonds of love and unity between him and his siblings and all your family, with every influence that would bring division or isolation removed or redirected by the Lord's hand.

We stand together in agreement, believing the promise that where two or three are gathered in His name He is in the midst, and we ask all these things not upon any merit of our own but through Jesus Christ alone, in whom alone is salvation and through whose atoning sacrifice the Father remembers our sins no more. May the Lord anoint the days and nights of your son and your household, and make him to know himself included and respected and loved, and to reflect the light and grace of Christ in all he does.

O Lord our God, look in mercy upon this child and upon this family. Give peaceful sleep tonight. Quiet the anxious thoughts and still the troubled spirit. Grant clarity where there is confusion and joy where there is heaviness, and let Your presence fill this home with calm and safety. Guide every meeting and every service appointed for his good, provide faithful and gentle caregivers, and grant breakthrough and restoration as seemeth good in Thy sight. Keep this household in Thy care in all its goings and comings, and cause all to rest in Thy peace today and in the days to come. We ask it in the name of Jesus our only hope and healer. Amen.
