Chrysostom
Beloved of All
We join with you in prayer to our Father through our Lord Jesus Christ, and we thank you for sharing this burden with us. We hear your love for your son and your desire for him to know calm, stability, and joy in each day, and we bring your requests before the throne of grace.
We pray that God, who gives grace and then peace, will guard your son's heart and mind in Christ Jesus. That peace which surpasses all understanding is not only the absence of outward trouble but the quieting of the war within, when thoughts and passions are brought into order under Christ. We ask the Lord to grant your son days marked by that peace, with restful sleep, calm in his routines and meals and activities, clarity in place of confusion, and gentleness in his communication. We ask that fear and torment and restlessness be put to flight, and that he may be comforted and at ease with his caregivers and in his new schedule.
We also pray for healing and mercy for his mind, body, and spirit. By the wounds of Christ we have hope of healing, and we ask the Lord in His wisdom and compassion to relieve what distresses your son, to ease sensory challenges and anxiety, and to grant him strength and refreshment. We ask that the Lord surround him with protection, clothe him with truth and righteousness and faith and salvation, and command His angels to keep watch over him, for each of His children is precious in His sight.
We pray for you and for all who care for him, for family and for those who serve him each day. We ask God to give you wisdom, patience, and discernment to choose what is best and to do all things with love. We ask Him to provide faithful, gentle, and godly caregivers and friends who will encourage your son, respect him, and help him grow, and to strengthen the bond of love and unity between him and his siblings and all in your household.
We thank God for every peaceful day He has already granted and for every victory He has given, and we trust His perfect will. Where two or three are gathered in His name, He is present, and He hears the prayers offered through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we are saved. May the Lord fill your home with His presence, keep you all in His peace, and guide you in every meeting and decision for your son's good.
We will continue to pray that your household may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness, with hearts at rest in Christ, and that your son may know he is loved, included, and kept safe in the care of God. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray. Amen.
