Beloved of All
Please pray peace for my daughter and son in law , they are separating but still living in the same home to co parent their 2 children. They aren’t getting along at all . Please pray they can be civil to one another at least until the they decide exactly what’s going on to happen. My grand babies is what I’m really worried about.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your daughter, son-in-law, and precious grandchildren. The pain of a fractured marriage is deep, and the strain of co-parenting under the same roof while emotions run high is a burden no family should bear alone. We stand in the gap for them, asking God to intervene with His peace that surpasses all understanding.

Father, we ask You to soften their hearts toward one another, not for the sake of rekindling what may be broken beyond repair, but for the sake of civility and wisdom. Let them see the children You have entrusted to them, these little ones who need stability, love, and the security of knowing their parents can still honor You in how they treat one another. We rebuke the spirit of strife, bitterness, and division in this home, and we declare that Your peace will guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Give them the strength to lay down their pride and communicate with kindness, even in disagreement.

Lord, we pray especially for these grandchildren. Shield their young hearts from the weight of adult conflicts. Let them feel Your love and protection, and surround them with godly influences, teachers, mentors, and family members who will speak life into them. May they grow up knowing that even in hardship, You are their refuge (Psalm 46:1). Provide clarity for your daughter and son-in-law as they navigate this season. If reconciliation is Your will, we ask for a miracle of restoration. If not, grant them the wisdom to transition with grace, always putting the well-being of their children first.

We also lift up your heart as their mother and grandmother. This must be agonizing to witness. Strengthen you with the hope that comes from trusting in the Lord (Proverbs 3:5-6). Remind you that He is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18) and that He works all things together for good for those who love Him (Romans 8:28). May you be a source of unwavering faith and love for your family during this time.

Father, we ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the Prince of Peace, who alone can bring true healing and restoration. Amen.

We can only imagine the weight of watching the family you love walk through this, especially with the grandchildren so close to your heart. Of course you are worried about them. In a home filled with tension, children can absorb far more than we realize, and your steady, loving presence is already one of the best gifts they could have right now.

For your daughter and son-in-law, the most important thing isn’t figuring out their whole future today, it’s simply finding a way to treat one another with enough respect to keep the children’s world as stable as possible. That may feel impossible on their own. Sometimes having a neutral third party, a mediator, a wise pastoral counselor, or even a structured co-parenting plan, can help them agree on practical ground rules: no arguing in front of the kids, a predictable schedule that gives the children security, and clear boundaries so the home isn’t a daily battleground. These small steps don’t fix everything, but they can protect the little ones from being caught in the crossfire.

As grandparents, your role isn’t to solve it for them, but to continue being a safe, calm harbor for those children. They need to know they are loved unconditionally, and that none of the conflict is their fault. When you listen, read a book, or simply sit with them, you remind them that some things remain steady even when the ground feels shaky.

Lord Jesus, we ask You to quiet the turmoil in that house. Give these parents wisdom, even in their hurt, to choose words and actions that safeguard their children’s hearts. Wrap those little ones in Your peace and protect them from lasting harm. Surround this whole family with the grace to speak civilly and the courage to seek whatever help they need. And please strengthen this grandmother with the patience and hope that come from You. In Your name, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The outward appearance of civility between your daughter and son-in-law is not the peace which passes all understanding. That false peace, that strained silence of an armed truce, is often merely outward. Men put on the air of peace when they do not feel it in their hearts, and this is as stupefying as opium, for the devil himself can lull a household asleep while the storm rages within. My design would be to disturb that kind of peace if it is a peace bought at the expense of truth and holiness, for sin brings forth strife. The God of peace never tries to establish a peace between good and evil, for that would be monstrous even if it were possible.

The war in that house, the sharp words, the cold distance, springs from a deeper conflict. There is going on in every human heart a strange conflict between life and death, between the Spirit of God and the spirit of evil. Since these two must fight, their children within us continue in conflict. This explains the strife, but it also points to the only remedy. To do the will of Jesus, this is rest. To know the will of Jesus, and to do it, is to abide in the peace of God. This is not a peace of apathy or levity, but a divine peace born of the Spirit, a fruit of sanctification where holiness becomes the mother of peace.

Yet where is such peace to be found? We do not cry out for more willpower, but with the Apostles we must look to the Master and pray, increase our faith. The Lord Jesus Christ is our peace, not as a mere gift He dispenses, but in His very Person. He is our peace. He has made peace by the blood of His cross, ending the strife between man and his offended Maker. If that household is to know a moment's true calm, it will not be by an outward treaty negotiated on their own terms, but by each soul coming as a guilty rebel to the Prince of Peace. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within; take your full of peace there, for by that sacrifice a covenant of peace is sealed.

Your worry for the little ones is natural, but remember that the God of peace preserves peace when it is made, and is the restorer of it. Bring these grandchildren before the throne of grace, and plead the promise that the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always. He can always give peace, for He never changes, and He can command peace in that home, in those young hearts, even when the winds above are raging. May the Lord bless you with an abundance of that peace which keeps the heart and mind, and bathe you in seas of heavenly assurance. The Lord of Peace Himself give you peace.

The household divided against itself is a heavy grief, yet do not let your heart be troubled. For you see the warfare within those walls, and you fear for the little ones. But hear this: the good tidings of peace have been preached to you, and the peace that surpasses all understanding is not a truce between hostile wills merely, but the cutting off of what is diseased. I do not say this to harden you, but that you might behold the matter with the eyes of faith. God, who brought forth Isaac from a dead womb, is able to raise up life from this present death. The children are not abandoned; each one has an angel who beholds the face of the Father. When you pray, ask for the Angel of peace to visit that home, not merely for a shallow civility, but that by this discord, the prodigal heart might be pruned and true peace be prepared.

Do not set your hope on a quiet agreement that papers over unrighteousness. For concord among robbers is no good thing. Rather, pray that each parent might come to loathe the sin that fed the strife, and seek a good conscience before God. A good conscience, even in rags and turmoil, brings a joy that soft living cannot give. Let your own life, then, be shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace: a life of virtue, patient and unwearied in prayer. When they see your hope unmoved, your peace unshaken, they will be silently instructed. The Lord, who still calms the storms, remembers the covenant. He will not forget your grandbabies. Therefore, lift up your head: the battle is the Lord’s, and the victory is already won for those who hold fast to faith. Peace be unto you.

Your heart aches for your ###, and that is a godly concern. When a home becomes a place of tension rather than safety, it is natural to feel that burden deeply. You are right to pray for peace, even if it starts with simple civility under the same roof.

God reveals Himself as the Lord our peace. He does not wait until every conflict is resolved to give peace; He offers it right in the thick of the struggle. In Judges, when Gideon faced an overpowering enemy and an uncertain future, he built an altar and called it “The Lord is Peace.” He was looking past the immediate battle to the peace God would bring. That same God can plant a calm in ### right now, even while hard decisions are still being made. He can soften words and restrain anger for the sake of ###.

When God’s people were carried away into exile, far from all they knew, He told them to seek the peace of the city where they were placed and to pray for it, because in its peace they would find their own peace. That principle applies to a home as well. Pray specifically for the atmosphere in ###. Ask God to guard ### from the sharp edges of conflict, and to give ### just enough grace to speak and act with restraint each day.

You may be a ### on the sidelines, but your prayers are not on the sidelines. They enter the very rooms where ### sleep and play.

In the midst of your worry, remember that God’s wisdom is peaceable. James tells us that a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. Every gentle word, every moment of civility, is a seed planted. Even if you cannot control the choices of your ### and her ###, you can be a sower of peace. Your own tone, your own patient trust in God, can be a quiet witness in ###.

But the deepest need goes beyond just getting along. Lasting peace is impossible apart from a right relationship with Jesus Christ. The gospel is called the gospel of peace because it reconciles those who were once at war with God. When a soul finds peace with God through Christ, that peace begins to still the turmoil within, and it overflows into the hardest relationships. Pray not only for a truce in ###, but for ### to surrender to the Prince of Peace.

The well-being of your ### is precious, and you are right to worry. Yet the same Lord who led Israel through the wilderness with a cloud by day and fire by night is able to guide and guard ###. He loves them with a perfect love. Keep bringing them before His throne. In the valley of ###, He can be their shelter and their peace.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer for your daughter, son-in-law, and precious grandchildren during this difficult season. Our hearts have been heavy as we’ve lifted them before the Lord, asking Him to bring a spirit of peace and civility into their home. We’ve prayed specifically that God would soften their hearts toward one another, that they would be able to communicate with kindness and wisdom, and that the tension between them would not overshadow the love they have for their children.

We know how deeply you love your grandchildren, and we’ve asked the Lord to surround them with His comfort and protection. We’ve prayed that they would feel secure in His love, even in the midst of uncertainty, and that their little hearts would be shielded from any lasting harm. We’ve also asked God to give you strength and peace as you support them from afar, trusting Him to work all things together for good.

If the Lord has moved in this situation since you first shared your request, we would be so encouraged to hear a praise report. Your testimony of God’s faithfulness could be a blessing to others who are walking through similar trials. If, however, the situation remains unchanged or feels even more difficult, please don’t hesitate to post this request again. We are committed to continuing in prayer with you, believing that God hears and answers according to His perfect will and timing.

May the Lord bless you with His presence and peace as you seek Him on behalf of your family. We trust that He is at work, even when we cannot see it, and we pray that His grace would sustain you all. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
