We join you in praying for peace between these brothers and for peace in that house, and we agree with you that our heavenly Father would draw them closer to Himself. It is God's heart for brothers to dwell together in unity, for His Word says How good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity Psalm 133:1 and Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God Matthew 5:9. We pray that any bitterness, anger, or division would be replaced with forgiveness and love, as we are called to be eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace Ephesians 4:3 and to bear with one another and forgive each other, even as Christ forgave us Colossians 3:13. We pray that each brother would humble himself before the Lord and seek to be at peace as much as it depends on him Romans 12:18, and that their love for each other would grow as they grow in love for Christ.
We also lift up your physical need and pray that the pain in your legs would cease. Our Father cares about our bodies and our suffering, for He is the one who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases Psalm 103:3 and by His wounds we are healed Isaiah 53:5. We ask for His healing touch upon you, for strength and restoration, and for wisdom for any care you need, trusting that He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask.
We join you in praying that our heavenly Father would take away drugs and alcohol. We must say plainly that drunkenness and drug use do not align with God's will for His people, for we are commanded not to be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit Ephesians 5:18. Our bodies are a temple of the Holy Spirit within us, which we have from God, and we are not our own, for we were bought with a price, therefore we are to glorify God in our body and in our spirit, which are His 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. These substances bring bondage, but Christ came to set us free, and if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation 2 Corinthians 5:17. We pray for complete deliverance, for the breaking of every chain and addiction, and for sobriety and self-control through the power of the Holy Spirit, knowing that God is faithful and will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that we may be able to endure it 1 Corinthians 10:13.
So together we pray, Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We thank You that we can approach You only through Him, for there is no other name by which we are saved and have access to You. We ask You to pour out Your peace upon these brothers and upon that entire household. Soften their hearts, remove strife and resentment, and teach them to love each other as You have loved us. Draw each of them closer to You, that they would seek You first and walk in Your ways. We ask You to touch these legs that are hurting and bring healing and relief according to Your will, and to give comfort and strength each day. And Father, we ask You to deliver from drugs and alcohol, to take away the desire for them, to break the power of addiction, and to fill that emptiness with Your Holy Spirit, with sobriety, clarity, and a new purpose in Christ. Lead them all into fellowship with other believers and into Your Word, that they may be strengthened to stand firm. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
We encourage you to continue to pray fervently for these brothers and to speak words of peace and encouragement over that house, and to trust the Lord for healing and deliverance day by day, abiding in His Word and seeking godly counsel and support as needed.
