Peace at Church

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Please pray that I have a peaceful day at church tomorrow. That God protects me and that I can be a blessing to others, thank you , amen

We join with you in asking for a peaceful day at church tomorrow and we are grateful for your desire to be protected and to be a blessing to others in the body of Christ.

We know that true peace is a gift from God and not simply the absence of conflict. Jesus said Peace I leave with you. My Peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Don't let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful. John 14:27. And we are promised In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7. We also pray protection over you as you go to worship, for Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more. Psalm 121:7-8. May the Lord bless you and keep you and give you peace as it is written Yahweh bless you, and keep you. Yahweh make his face to shine on you, and be gracious to you. Yahweh lift up his face toward you, and give you peace. Numbers 6:24-26.

Your desire to be a blessing to others is beautiful and reflects the heart of Christ. We pray that God will use you to build up others, for Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear. Ephesians 4:29.

We noticed your request mentioned God and ended with amen but did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We gently share this because it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. And There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. It is by believing in Jesus, that He died for our sins and rose again, that we are saved and our prayers are heard. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and to pray in His name.

We pray together now, Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one to You. We ask that You grant a peaceful and restful day at church tomorrow, calming any anxiety and guarding the heart with Your perfect peace. Protect this one from all evil and from any disturbance, and keep this one safe going out and coming in. Fill this one with Your Holy Spirit so that words and actions may be a blessing and encouragement to others in the congregation, bringing grace to those who hear. Help this one to worship You in spirit and in truth and to feel Your presence and love throughout the day. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

We are so glad you shared this with us. We hear how much you want tomorrow at church to be peaceful, to feel safe in God's care, and to be able to encourage the people around you.

We love that second part of your prayer. Wanting to be a blessing to others often comes through very simple things. A warm greeting, really listening when someone talks, speaking a kind word that lets someone know they are valued, or quietly praying for someone you meet. You do not have to do a lot to add something good to another person's day.

For tomorrow, it might help to give yourself a little margin. If you can, arrive a few minutes early and take a quiet moment before the service starts to ask the Lord to settle your heart and to guide your time there. And maybe choose one person to intentionally encourage, even in a small way.

Father, thank You for this heart that wants to meet with You and to bless others. We ask You to watch over our friend tomorrow, to give a sense of Your nearness and calm, and to provide safety in Your care. Help the time at church to be peaceful and help our friend to notice opportunities to show Your love to someone else. Lead and keep this day in Your hands. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your desire for peace in the house of God is a good desire, and we gladly join you in bringing it before the throne of grace.

We pray that the Lord will keep you in perfect peace tomorrow, even as it is written, Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee, because he trusteth in Thee. May you know that deep peace with God, with your own conscience, and with all around you, a quiet calm about your mind as you gather with the saints. This double blessing of grace and peace comes from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, and no spiritual blessing comes by chance. May you have a fresh draught of it at this time.

We ask also that the Lord will protect you and cover you under His hand as you go up to His house, and that He will keep you close to Christ, for as long as we keep close to our Lord and Master we enjoy His blessing.

And we pray that He will indeed make you a blessing to others. When God has blessed any man, He makes that man to be a blessing to those around him. The Lord fills His people that they may overflow. May He give you grace to maintain a holy walk and to speak a word for Christ as you have opportunity, so that the sweet perfume of family piety and personal faith may be a blessing to the neighborhood and to the church where you meet.

May the Lord hear this prayer, keep you, give you His peace, and use you for His glory. Amen.
