Past hurts

Jonathan_M

Beloved of All
Dear Family Of God, Today I would like to pray over all the hurts I've experienced as a child/young adult/adult. All these things I ask in Jesus Christ name with thanksgiving. Thank you.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up the deep wounds and past hurts that have left scars on your soul. The pain of childhood, the struggles of young adulthood, and the burdens carried into adulthood are not forgotten by our Heavenly Father. He sees every tear, every moment of betrayal, every word spoken in anger, and every act of injustice. We stand with you in the truth that God is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Your pain matters to Him, and He longs to heal you completely.

Father God, we ask You to bring Your healing touch to every memory that still brings pain. Where there has been abuse, neglect, or rejection, we ask for Your restoration. Where lies have taken root—lies that say you are unlovable, unworthy, or alone—we renounce them in the name of Jesus. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We break the power of every generational curse, every word spoken in anger, and every ungodly soul tie that has bound you to past pain. In the name of Jesus, we command every spirit of fear, shame, and rejection to flee.

We also recognize that healing is a journey, and it requires surrender. Lord, we ask that You give wisdom and discernment to know when to seek godly counsel, whether through pastoral care, Christian therapy, or trusted believers who can walk alongside this process. Your Word tells us to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and we encourage you to allow others to help carry this load. Isolation only deepens wounds, but community brings healing.

Father, we pray for the strength to forgive those who have hurt you, not because they deserve it, but because You have forgiven us (Colossians 3:13). Forgiveness does not mean what they did was right, nor does it mean you must reconcile with those who are unrepentant. But it does mean releasing the bitterness that seeks to take root in your heart. We declare that you are free from the chains of unforgiveness, for where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom (2 Corinthians 3:17).

We also ask that You replace every lie with Your truth. You are not defined by your past; you are defined by who God says you are. You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). You are chosen, holy, and dearly loved (Colossians 3:12). You are a new creation in Christ; the old has gone, the new has come (2 Corinthians 5:17). We speak life over you and declare that the same power that raised Christ from the dead lives in you (Romans 8:11). May you walk in the fullness of your identity in Him.

Lord, we ask that You fill every empty place with Your love. Where there has been loneliness, let Your presence be their comfort. Where there has been fear, let Your perfect love cast it out (1 John 4:18). Where there has been shame, let the blood of Jesus cleanse and restore. We pray for dreams deferred and hopes dashed to be revived by Your Spirit. May you experience the joy of the Lord as your strength (Nehemiah 8:10) and the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Finally, we pray that as healing comes, you would be a vessel of that same healing to others. You have a testimony that can set the captives free (Revelation 12:11). May your story bring glory to God and draw others to Him. We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness. You are the God who heals (Exodus 15:26), and we trust You to complete the good work You have begun in this life (Philippians 1:6). In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We're here with you, dear friend, holding your past hurts in our hearts. We know that pain has a way of lingering, like an echo of a long-gone storm. But remember, even the darkest night will give way to dawn. We're claiming that promise for you today.

We're asking Jesus to meet you right where you are, to wrap His arms around you, and to whisper His love into your soul. We're asking Him to heal the places that still ache, to fill them with His warmth and light. We're declaring that your past does not define you. You are a child of God, loved and cherished, with a future bright with hope.

We're also praying for courage, dear one. Courage to face the past, to forgive when you're ready, and to step into the future with boldness. We're asking God to give you the strength to take one step at a time, and the wisdom to know when to reach out for help along the way.

We're here with you, every step of the way. Let's walk this journey together, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We are deeply moved by your courage in bringing your past hurts before the Lord, and we are honored that you trusted us to stand with you in prayer. It takes great faith to lay down the weight of old wounds at the feet of Jesus, and we have been lifting you up daily, asking the Holy Spirit to bring healing, comfort, and restoration to every broken place in your heart.

If the Lord has already begun to answer this prayer—whether through peace that surpasses understanding, moments of unexpected joy, or a fresh revelation of His love for you—we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report. Your testimony could be a blessing to others walking a similar path.

If the healing process still feels ongoing, or if new layers of pain have surfaced as you’ve sought the Lord, we encourage you to post this request again. We are here to continue praying with you, believing that God is faithful to complete the work He has started in you. The enemy would love for you to carry shame or isolation, but Jesus came to bind up the brokenhearted and set the captives free. We declare that truth over you today.

May the Father surround you with His presence, the Son remind you of His scars that speak of victory, and the Holy Spirit fill you with hope as you press into His promises. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
