Years and Spiritual surgery: it hurts

Anonymous

Beloved of All
I believe the Father through Jesus Christ is working to heal me from trauma. He has separated me from all family (including parents who are now deceased) and friends who have caused me physical, verbal, emotional, spiritual, and financial harm. This gives Him time to have me in a “cocoon” or sorts to dismantle lies and burn away the pain of past abuse. Everything that I buried deep inside and didn’t want to acknowledge is coming to the surface and that’s a good thing. However, it is also very painful to admit that those people never truly loved me. It’s a lonely road and I don’t just cry but WEEP. Because I allowed myself to be treated so horribly just so I wouldn’t be lonely, Father, I don’t like the process at all, but if this means that I’ll be healed and whole one day, please continue this spiritual surgery. I will never forget being violently grabbed and yanked by a supervisor (male) who had evil in his eyes and no remorse. The incident nearly dislocated my shoulder. Please pray in Jesus' name for no more abuse. I can’t take it. I left that job and I’m seeking another, please.

We hear your cry, dear sister in Christ, and we stand with you in this season of deep spiritual surgery. The pain you are walking through is real, and the Lord is near to the brokenhearted. You are not alone in this—though it may feel like a lonely road, the Holy Spirit is your Comforter, and we join our prayers with yours, lifting you before the throne of grace.

The Father is indeed at work in you, separating you from toxic influences so He can heal the wounds that have been buried for too long. It is a painful process to confront the truth—that those who were supposed to love you instead caused harm—but this is the refining fire that burns away the lies and restores your soul. Jesus Himself said, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest"* (Matthew 11:28). He sees your tears, and He collects them in His bottle (Psalm 56:8). Your weeping is not in vain; it is part of the healing.

We must also speak truth over the abuse you endured. No human being has the right to treat another with violence or cruelty. The incident with your supervisor was not just wrong—it was evil, and the Lord hates the oppression of the vulnerable (Proverbs 6:16-19). You did not deserve that treatment, and your worth is not defined by the actions of those who harmed you. You are fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God (Psalm 139:14), and He calls you His beloved daughter.

We rebuke the spirit of abuse in Jesus’ name. We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we pray for divine protection over your body, mind, and spirit. The Lord is your refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1), and He will not allow you to be crushed beyond what you can bear (1 Corinthians 10:13). We also pray for wisdom and favor as you seek new employment—a workplace that honors God and respects His children.

You mentioned that you believe the Father is working through Jesus Christ, and we affirm this truth. There is no healing, no salvation, and no access to the Father except through Jesus (John 14:6). If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender fully to Him, confessing any sin and receiving His forgiveness and cleansing (1 John 1:9). He is the Great Physician, and His blood covers every wound.

We pray now:

*"Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our sister who is walking through deep waters. Lord, You see her pain, her tears, and the injustices she has endured. We ask that You would continue Your spiritual surgery, removing every lie, every wound, and every remnant of abuse from her life. Heal her shoulder, her heart, and her mind, Lord. Replace the memories of evil with Your peace and the voices of condemnation with Your truth.

We declare in Jesus’ name that no more abuse will touch her life. Surround her with Your angels, Lord, and lead her to safe places—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Provide her with godly community, wise counsel, and a new job where she is valued and respected. Strengthen her faith, Father, and remind her daily that she is Your beloved daughter.

We rebuke the spirit of loneliness and despair, and we release Your comfort and hope into her life. May she feel Your presence in the quiet moments, and may Your Word be a lamp to her feet. Thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness. We trust You to complete the good work You have begun in her. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen."*

Hold fast to the promise that God is making all things new (Revelation 21:5). The pain you feel now is not the end of your story—it is the refining fire that prepares you for the beauty ahead. You are not forgotten, and you are not forsaken. The Lord is your Shepherd, and He will lead you to still waters (Psalm 23:2). Keep pressing into Him, and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). You are loved, you are seen, and you are being healed.

Be a Prayer Warrior: “Praying for others”

We want to thank you for trusting us with the privilege of standing in prayer with you during this deeply painful yet sacred season of spiritual surgery. It is both an honor and a humbling responsibility to intercede as the Father, through the healing power of Jesus Christ, works to dismantle the lies, burn away the pain, and bring to light the buried wounds that have long needed His touch.

We continue to lift you before the throne of grace, asking the Lord to hold you tenderly in this cocoon of transformation. The process is raw and lonely, and we pray that even in the weeping, you would sense the nearness of the Holy Spirit, who collects every tear and whispers truth over the lies that have bound you for so long. Father, we ask that You would replace the memories of being violently grabbed—of evil in a man’s eyes and the searing pain in your shoulder—with the assurance that You saw it all, You grieved with you, and You are making all things new. May the trauma of that moment be overshadowed by the truth that You are your Defender, your Healer, and your Strong Tower.

We stand with you in agreement for no more abuse—ever. Lord, we declare over her that the cycle of harm ends now. Provide her with a new workplace where she is valued, respected, and safe. Open doors of opportunity that align with Your purpose for her, and surround her with people who will reflect Your love, not exploitation. Give her courage to set boundaries, wisdom to recognize red flags, and the strength to walk away from anything that does not honor her as Your beloved daughter.

If this season of spiritual surgery has borne fruit in your life—if you’ve sensed even a glimmer of healing, clarity, or breakthrough—we would be overjoyed to hear a praise report. But if the pain still feels overwhelming and the answers seem distant, please know we are not stepping away. Post this request again, and we will continue to lift you up, trusting that the same God who began this good work in you will carry it to completion.

May the Lord bless you with His peace that surpasses understanding, His presence that fills every lonely space, and His hope that anchors your soul. Keep seeking Him, dear sister, for He is faithful, and His love is the ultimate healer. We pray all these things in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus. Amen.
