We have read your request with heavy hearts and we are lifting you up before the Lord together in Jesus name. We thank you for reaching out and for your honesty about the depression and the thoughts of wanting to end your life after failing your nursing exams. We want you to know that your life is precious to God and to us, and that failing an exam is not the end of your story. Your worth is not measured by grades or by nursing school, but by the love God has for you as His creation.

The Lord sees your broken heart and your weariness and He draws near to you in this pain. Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. And Psalm 61:2 says When my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to the rock that is higher than I. We are praying that you will feel His nearness right now and that He will be that higher rock for you when everything feels too heavy.

We also hear how much you want to be closer to the Lord Jesus Christ and we praise God for that desire. That is the most important prayer you have prayed. Jesus Himself says in Matthew 11:28 Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Your burden is real and Jesus invites you to bring all of your anxiety, your disappointment, and your fear to Him. Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. We pray that this peace will guard your heart and mind in these days.

We want to gently and lovingly say that taking your own life is not the answer and is not Gods will for you. He has thoughts of hope and a future for you. Jeremiah 29:11 says For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. Even when you feel like you have failed, His grace is still sufficient for you. 2 Corinthians 12:9 says My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. God can use even this setback to draw you closer to Him and to strengthen you for the calling He has placed on your life to care for others through nursing. Isaiah 41:10 says Dont you be afraid, for I am with you. Dont be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

We understand how heavy depression feels and we encourage you not to walk through this alone. Please reach out right away to a trusted person such as a pastor, a counselor, a professor, a family member, or a medical professional and tell them what you are feeling. If these thoughts of harming yourself grow stronger, please seek help immediately from someone near you or from a local crisis helpline or emergency services. God often brings His comfort and help through the people He places around us.

We are praying for your healing from depression and for your studies at the same time, trusting Gods will above our own desires.

We pray together for you. Father in heaven, we lift this dear student to You in the name of Jesus Christ. You know her name, You know her tears, and You know the weight she is carrying. We ask You to touch her heart and heal her from depression. Replace despair with hope, heaviness with Your peace, and loneliness with the assurance that You are with her. Draw her much closer to the Lord Jesus Christ, let her know Your love in a deeper way, and give her rest for her soul. We ask for Your hand upon her nursing studies. Give her clarity of mind, strength to study, discipline to persevere, and peace as she prepares for her exams. If it is Your will, open the way for her to pass her exams and to continue in nursing school and to reach the next year, and help her to use this vocation to glorify You and to serve others with compassion. Above all, let her future rest in Your hands and let her trust that You have a good plan for her life even through disappointment. Hold her fast and do not let her go. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to stay in Gods Word daily, even in small portions, to pray honestly to Jesus as you already have, to rest and care for your body, and to study faithfully while trusting the outcome to Him. Whether the path forward is a retake, a new opportunity, or a different door God opens, He is still leading you. Keep seeking Him first and keep asking for help from those around you. We are continuing to pray for you to be healed, to be close to Christ, and to see Gods strength made perfect in your weakness.

If you are in immediate danger, please contact your local emergency services right now. For free, confidential support, you can find a helpline in your country at findahelpline.com. You are not alone and trained people are ready to help right now.

We are so glad you reached out to us, and we hear how heavy these days have felt for you. Failing nursing exams can feel overwhelming, like the end of the world, and carrying that with depression is a lot to hold by yourself. Thank you for being honest about wanting to end your life and for asking for prayer to be healed and to be closer to Jesus. That was a brave and important step.

We want to walk with you in prayer, and we also want to encourage you not to stay alone with these thoughts. If you can today, please reach out to someone you trust, a family member, a friend, a pastor, or a counselor at your nursing school. Alongside prayer, it is a good and wise step to talk with a medical professional or counselor soon about how you are feeling. They can support you in person in a way we cannot from a distance.

We care about you and about your desire to continue in nursing school. We will keep praying for strength for each day, for clear next steps with your studies, and for you to know Jesus close beside you.

We pray for you, Father, in Jesus name, please guard this dear student, bring comfort and peace, lift this heavy burden, surround them with caring people who will stay close, give wisdom to helpers and teachers, and draw them nearer to You each day. Amen.

Yes, Thank You Lord You stand at the door of our hearts and knock. If we are willing to open the door, You will enter and fellowship with us on the deepest level, Rev 3:19-20. Thank You in Jesus' name

Your request has been heard and it has been carried before the Lord in prayer, and we thank you for speaking so plainly about the heaviness you feel. To be pressed down by repeated failure in your nursing exams, to feel that all is lost and even to wish for death, is a very deep trial, and you are not alone in having felt the gates of despair so near. Many of the brightest saints have sat weeping there, and yet the Lord has brought them through.

Hear this truth for your soul in this hour. No man has a right to despair while God lives and while Christ lives to save. Despair is useless. It does not lift the burden, it does not prepare you for your calling, it only chills the heart and makes you sit in darkness. And it wrongs the mercy of God, for it says in effect that His grace cannot reach you. But His grace can. There is not a text in Scripture which gives any man leave to despair, for God is the sinner's hope.

Even when the heart cries out in unbelief and sorrow, God hears that cry. David prayed even out of his haste and despondency when he said all was lost, and the Lord heard the voice of his supplication. You may come to Him just as you are, with broken words and tears, and He will hear. He has taught you to cry, and He will answer.

Christ's work is no failure, and if God upholds His Servant, that Servant cannot fail to accomplish His purpose in you. Your failure in an exam is not the end of your story, and it is not the measure of your worth before God. Often failure is part of the training of those whom Christ is teaching. He uses it to show us our lack of strength, that we may be driven to rely simply, wholly and entirely upon Him, and to keep the connection of faith unbroken. Satan would have you believe that a setback proves you are cast off, and just when Christ would lift you up he drives the soul into deeper despair. But Jesus takes the fallen one by the hand and lifts him up, and he arises.

So we pray for you now.

O Lord our God, look in mercy upon this dear soul who is cast down and weary. Thou knowest the heaviness of this depression and the thoughts of self destruction which have pressed so hard. Forbid that despair should reign, and show Thyself to be the hope that does not fail. Forgive sin through the blood of Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other salvation, and draw this heart nearer to the Lord Jesus in love and trust. Heal the wounded spirit and give quietness and strength for each day. Grant help for study, clearness of mind, steadiness of hand and heart for every nursing exam, and if it be Thy will, grant grace to pass and to continue from this year to the next, that this life may be used in service to others for Thy glory. Yet above all, let Thy will be done, and let faith be increased, that whether in success or in trial, this soul may rest in Christ who upholds all things. Hear this cry, O Lord, and answer for Thy mercy's sake. Amen.

Take this as the path the Lord sets before you. Turn from the thought of ending your life, for that would be willful self destruction and it can never be right while Jesus invites you to live. Your life is precious to God and to those who love you. Do not sit alone with these thoughts. Go at once to a trusted pastor, a godly teacher, a family member, and to a medical or counseling help where you study, and tell them plainly how low you have been. Let them walk with you daily. Seek the Lord in His Word and in prayer each morning and evening, even with a single verse and a simple cry, and ask Him to keep you near to Christ.

We will continue to pray that you will be healed in spirit, be made more close to the Lord Jesus Christ, and be strengthened for your studies. The Lord who has corn in Egypt for the hungry has bread enough for you. Look to Him, get you down to Him in prayer, that you may live and not die.

Praying for you - that the Lord may guide you through this difficult time. You must not give up - simply try again to pass the nursing exams. Contact a friend or relative who can help you study the particular parts of the exam you may be having difficulty with - you haven’t come this far to call it quits. Prayers in the name of Jesus.
