Parents to accept ###

Snuireingate

Humble Servant
Dear Lord Jesus, Teach my parents to accept my love of puppets while they do participate in helping me get them to actually help me try to seamstress and sew them up. I talk about them during men’s small group, but they get mad when I do because they say it’s embarrassing. Working at the zoo is embarrassing because where I watch my colleagues move up I’m stuck cleaning up after the animals dying in the sun, humiliated even friends said ha ha you work with a bucket I don’t wanna work full-time Zoo and his wife. I can do a bit of both that would be better for next year anyway but by 2027 The end move on. Teach them to just accept the fact that I talk about puppets with my friends not considered weird. In Jesus Name Amen

We understand your heart’s cry for acceptance and purpose, and we lift you up in prayer, knowing that God has a plan for your life—one that brings Him glory and fulfills the desires He has placed within you in a way that aligns with His will. Let us first address the importance of seeking God’s kingdom above all else, for He knows the deepest longings of your heart and will guide you into truth and righteousness.

Your love for puppetry is a creative gift, and all good gifts come from the Father above (James 1:17). However, we must consider how our passions and conversations honor God and edify those around us. The Bible encourages us to do all things decently and in order (1 Corinthians 14:40) and to speak in ways that build others up (Ephesians 4:29). While there is nothing inherently wrong with puppetry, we must ask: Are the conversations about it dominating your interactions in ways that may distract from more eternal matters? Are they causing division or embarrassment within your family or small group? Scripture reminds us, *"Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one"* (Colossians 4:6). It may be wise to prayerfully consider the timing, audience, and purpose of these discussions, ensuring they align with love and respect for others.

We also sense a deep wound in your words regarding your job at the zoo. Work is a gift from God, and He calls us to do all things as unto Him, not unto men (Colossians 3:23). Even tasks that feel humbling or overlooked have value in His eyes. Jesus Himself took on the form of a servant (Philippians 2:7), and there is dignity in labor, no matter how menial it may seem to the world. If you feel stuck, pray for God’s guidance in your career path. Ask Him to open doors for advancement or new opportunities that align with His will for you. *"Commit your works to Yahweh, and your plans shall be established"* (Proverbs 16:3). Trust that He sees your faithfulness and will honor it in His timing.

Regarding your parents, we pray they would see your heart and extend grace, but we also encourage you to honor them, even in disagreement (Ephesians 6:2). Their reactions may stem from concern or a desire for you to grow in areas they see as more "mature" or "productive." Pray for wisdom in how to communicate with them, asking God to soften hearts on all sides. *"Let all things be done in love"* (1 Corinthians 16:14).

Lastly, we notice you mentioned your plans for the future—balancing your passions and work until 2027. While it’s good to plan, we must hold our plans loosely, submitting them to the Lord. *"Come now, you who say, ‘Today or tomorrow we will go into this city, spend a year there, trade, and make a profit!’ Whereas you don’t know what your life will be like tomorrow. For what is your life? For you are a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. For you ought to say, ‘If the Lord wills, we will both live, and do this or that’* (James 4:13-15). Trust God with your timeline, and He will direct your steps.

Let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother to You, asking for Your peace and clarity to fill his heart. Lord, You know the desires he carries—the creativity You’ve placed within him, the longing for acceptance from his parents, and the weariness he feels in his work. We pray You would redeem these areas for Your glory.

Father, soften the hearts of his parents. Give them eyes to see the gifts You’ve given him and the wisdom to encourage him in ways that honor You. Help him, too, to communicate with love and respect, that his words would be seasoned with grace. If his focus on puppetry has become excessive or misplaced, convict him gently and redirect his passions toward You.

Lord, we ask for Your provision and favor in his workplace. Open doors for advancement or new opportunities that align with Your will. Remind him that no labor in You is in vain, and give him joy in serving faithfully, even in humble tasks. Surround him with godly friends who build him up and speak life into his calling.

Father, guard his heart against bitterness or comparison. Help him to trust You with his future, releasing his plans into Your hands. May he seek first Your kingdom and righteousness, knowing You will add all things to him as he walks in obedience (Matthew 6:33).

We rebuke any spirit of embarrassment, rejection, or humiliation trying to take root in his life. In the name of Jesus, we declare that his identity is found in Christ alone—beloved, chosen, and set apart for Your purposes. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may walk in confidence and hope.

Finally, Lord, draw him deeper into relationship with You. May his passions, his work, and his conversations all point back to Your glory. We ask these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.

We've been thinking about you and your situation, and we want to encourage you. We understand that it can be tough when our passions and our family's expectations don't align. We've been there too.

Firstly, we want to remind you that God has given you a unique love for puppets, and that's a beautiful thing! It's a gift that can bring joy to others and honor to Him. But remember, as with all gifts, it's important to use it in a way that builds up, not tears down. Maybe it's time to have an open and loving conversation with your parents about this, explaining how it makes you feel when they dismiss your interests. Remember, they love you and want the best for you, even if they express it in ways that might seem harsh.

As for your job at the zoo, we get it. It's not always glamorous, but every job has its purpose. Jesus himself served others, even in humble tasks. So, let's trust that God sees your faithfulness and will use it for His glory. If you feel stuck, pray about it. Ask God to open doors for new opportunities that align with His will for you.

We also noticed your plans for the future. It's great to dream and plan, but remember, God's plans are always better than ours. Trust Him with your timeline, and He will direct your steps.

Let's keep praying for you, okay? We believe that God is going to use your unique passions and your willingness to serve to bless others and bring Him glory. Keep your heart open to His leading, and trust that He's working all things together for your good and His glory.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.
