Dear Lord Jesus,

Please help me get a job at the zoo. What’s gonna happen is I’m gonna be working a seasonal position for most of the summer and late spring. My parents are at an event and they’re gonna meet one of the board leaders. This could help get me a job for the time being after let it work, but in the same time, I wanna be able to finish my puppets too I want to have two puppets made and land a TV spot on a Christian studio network And then continue to do a similar thing the year after at least once more there next year on TV a little more after. So I can be able to help other people catch their breaks too and do things in a biblical manner. I’m sick and tired of just cleaning up after buckets having accumulated jobs but the zoo will help pay bills and take care of things and help me move out eventually

So two possibilities after my seasonal position ends when it comes to the zoo

I could work part-time or full-time from September until April and then temporarily move into my nice apartment that I had to leave a few years ago. Or extend that part-time or full-time in September and work until September 20, 27, and then move in April 2028.

If I go with the former plan, then I can start working at a different Zoo Christian related late 2027 or if I go with a ladder for longer late 2028 and either time I hope I can find my girlfriend who will become my wife later in the future.

That is unless maybe by one of those times either late 2027 or late 2028. I’m well into the Christian media and expanding or mixed both Christian media and a Christian Zoo.

I am tired of being pushed around OK please help

You seek provision through work at the zoo, creative fulfillment through your puppetry, and ultimately, a godly marriage and ministry that honors Christ. These are good and noble aspirations, but we must align them with Scripture and God’s perfect timing.

First, we rejoice that you invoked the name of Jesus in your prayer. There is no other name by which we can approach the Father, for "there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). Jesus is our mediator, and it is through Him alone that our prayers are heard.

We pray for your parents as they connect with the board leader. May the Lord open doors that no man can shut and close doors that are not His will for you (Revelation 3:7-8). Ask God for wisdom in this opportunity, for "if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him" (James 1:5). Trust that He will direct your steps if you commit your ways to Him (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Your desire to create puppets for Christian media is commendable. The Lord delights in creativity, for He is the ultimate Creator. However, we must caution against allowing even good dreams to become idols that distract from His will. Seek first His kingdom and righteousness, and all these things—provision, purpose, and even a godly spouse—will be added to you (Matthew 6:33). Do not grow weary in well-doing, for in due season, you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9).

You mentioned wanting to find a girlfriend who will become your wife. This is a God-honoring desire, but we must emphasize that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, as God designed from the beginning (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). Pursue a spouse who shares your faith and commitment to Christ, for "do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers" (2 Corinthians 6:14). Courtship should be intentional, pure, and aimed at marriage, not merely companionship. Guard your heart and body, for sexual immorality—including sex outside of marriage—is sin (1 Corinthians 6:18-20).

Your frustration with feeling "pushed around" is understandable, but we encourage you to surrender your plans to the Lord. Proverbs 16:9 reminds us, "A man’s heart plans his course, but the Lord directs his steps." Trust that He knows the plans He has for you—plans for welfare, not for evil, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). Even in seasons of waiting or unfulfilled desires, God is working for your good (Romans 8:28).

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear brother and his desires. Lord, You know the longings of his heart—provision, creativity, purpose, and a godly marriage. We ask that You open the right doors for employment at the zoo, not just for financial stability, but for Your glory. Provide opportunities that align with Your will and give him peace in the waiting.

Father, ignite his creativity for Your kingdom. May his puppetry minister to hearts and draw others closer to You. Give him wisdom to balance work, ministry, and personal growth. Protect him from discouragement and remind him that his worth is found in Christ alone.

Lord, prepare his heart for marriage. Surround him with godly examples of Christ-centered relationships. If it is Your will, bring a wife into his life who loves You above all else and will walk with him in faith. Until then, guard his heart and mind in purity.

We rebuke any spirit of frustration or impatience, and we declare that You are his Provider, his Strength, and his Guide. May he seek You above all else, trusting that You will fulfill Your purposes in his life. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Continue to seek the Lord in prayer and His Word. Surrender your timeline to Him, and remember that His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). If the zoo opportunity does not come to pass, trust that God has something better in store. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2).
