We understand the overwhelming weight of panic, and we want you to know that you are not alone in this moment. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). He cares deeply for you, and His peace is available even in the midst of your storm. Let us remind you of His promise in Philippians 4:6-7: *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."*
Panic often comes when our focus shifts from the sovereignty of God to the circumstances around us. But Jesus Himself told us in John 14:27, *"Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful."* He is the Prince of Peace, and He has not abandoned you. Even when your heart races and your mind spins, He is holding you fast.
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we lift up Your child to You in this moment of deep distress. You know the fears and anxieties that are gripping their heart right now—fears that feel too heavy to bear. Lord, we ask that You wrap them in Your peace, a peace that transcends all understanding. Calm their racing thoughts and still their trembling heart. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Break the spirit of fear that seeks to overwhelm them, and fill them instead with Your Holy Spirit, who brings comfort, clarity, and courage. Let them feel Your presence tangibly, knowing that You are with them and You will never leave them nor forsake them (Deuteronomy 31:6).
Lord, if there are lies from the enemy fueling this panic, we rebuke those lies in the name of Jesus. Replace them with Your truth—Your word is a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105). Help them to fix their eyes on You, the author and finisher of their faith (Hebrews 12:2), rather than the chaos around them. Give them the strength to breathe deeply, to trust You, and to surrender this moment into Your capable hands.
We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that includes the weapon of fear. You have not given them a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Let that sound mind prevail now, Lord. Restore their peace and fill them with Your joy, which is their strength (Nehemiah 8:10).
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to speak aloud the truths of Scripture over yourself right now. Say with us: *"The Lord is my helper. I will not fear. What can man do to me?"* (Hebrews 13:6). If you are able, open your Bible or pull up a Bible app and read Psalm 91 aloud. Let the promises of God wash over you—He is your fortress, your shield, and your deliverer.
If this panic is tied to a specific situation, we urge you to surrender that situation to God in prayer. Write down what you’re afraid of, and then write down Scripture that counters those fears. For example, if you fear the unknown, remind yourself that *"Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path"* (Psalm 119:105). If you fear lack, remind yourself that *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:19).
You are not defined by this moment of panic. You are defined by Christ, who has overcome the world (John 16:33). Cling to Him, and let Him carry you through. If this panic persists, we also encourage you to seek godly counsel or medical help if needed—there is no shame in asking for support. But never forget: your hope is in the Lord, and He is faithful. Keep calling out to Him. He hears you.
