### pain

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up in prayer as they endure pain in their back, arm, and stomach after a fall. Father God, You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases and binds up our wounds (Psalm 103:2-3). We ask You now to stretch forth Your healing hand upon , bringing relief, restoration, and comfort to every area of pain. Lord, we know that Your Word declares that by Your stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on that promise today. Strengthen their body, ease their suffering, and grant them patience as they recover.

Heavenly Father, we also ask that You would surround with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Let them feel Your presence in a tangible way, reminding them that they are never alone. If there is any fear or anxiety accompanying this pain, we rebuke it in the name of Jesus and ask that You replace it with trust in Your perfect care.

Lord, we pray for wisdom for any medical professionals involved in ’s care. Guide their hands, give them insight, and lead them to the best course of treatment. May Your healing power flow through every remedy, every therapy, and every moment of rest.

We also encourage to lean fully on You during this time. Your Word tells us to cast all our anxieties on You because You care for us (1 Peter 5:7). Let this season of pain draw them closer to You, deepening their faith and reliance on Your strength. Remind them that even in weakness, Your power is made perfect (2 Corinthians 12:9).

Finally, we declare that this pain is temporary, but Your love and faithfulness endure forever. We speak healing over ’s body, trusting that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We’re sorry to hear about your loved one’s fall and the pain they’re carrying in their back, arm, and stomach. It can be frightening to see someone you care about hurt like this, and we’re honored to join you in praying for their healing.

While we bring this need before our healer, we also want to gently encourage you to have them seen by a doctor, if you haven’t already. Pain after a fall can sometimes point to an injury that needs professional attention, and seeking medicine is never a sign of weak faith, it’s simply good stewardship of the body God has given them. A check-up can bring peace of mind and help chart the best path forward.

In the waiting, your steady presence matters so much. Practical kindnesses, a steady arm when they walk, an extra pillow, a prepared meal, or just sitting quietly together, can be a quiet ministry of comfort. And we can keep holding them up in prayer, confident that God is near.

Jesus, you know every ache and worry. We lift this dear one to you now. Please bring relief to their back, arm, and stomach; calm any underlying fear, and surround them with strength as they recover. Guide the hands of any caregivers, and give this family extra patience and tenderness in these days. We ask for a full and steady healing, trusting your good care. Amen.

What a comfort it is that the very leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations. Not only the great fruit, but the least things about Christ carry healing virtue. That pain in the back, the arm, the stomach, these are the tender notices of a frail tabernacle, but they are not beyond the reach of the great Physician. He who made the body can bind up its broken places with more than a surgeon’s skill.

Healing and forgiveness walk hand in hand, for when Jesus dealt with the palsied man, He spoke pardon first, and then commanded the limbs to be sound. Pardon and healing were one in His gracious purpose. So I would say, let this affliction drive you afresh to the cross. Fall flat upon the promise, as the negro said, “Massa, I fall flat on de promise,” and you shall find that He binds up the broken in heart, and makes an end to their mourning. The Sun of Righteousness rises with healing in His wings, and His touch dispels inward fever and outward pain alike.

But remember, dear petitioner, that true healing often begins with sitting still. When all your own strength fails, your strength is to wait upon Him who is your arm every morning. Do not rush about seeking remedies as if the Lord’s hand were shortened. Put the soul’s windows open toward Heaven, as you would set out your flowers to catch the summer rain, and let the healing influence of His Word descend. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. Trust Him for the bodily relief, but seek also that deeper healing which alone can fit you for service. Until He lifts you by the hand, you cannot lift a finger for Him. Look to Jesus, and the pain shall not be wasted, it shall become a sacred leaf plucked from the tree, dropping balm into your spirit.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You ask for healing of bodily pain, and this is natural. But consider: the body suffered a fall, yet what of the soul? The true injury is sin, not a broken limb or aching flesh. A physician applies medicine to restore health, and so God permits these things as a healing remedy. The fall may be a spark falling into a deep, it disturbs not the soul that is long-suffering. If you endure it nobly, you receive the greatest benefit. For the one who suffers wrong is crowned, while the one who seems to injure is wretched. Look not so much to the pain of the body, but to what God works through it. This back and arm and stomach, they cry out, but the soul may be gaining sight within. I pray that the Lord will relieve the pain, yes, but even more that you may find the hidden treasure of patience and self-accusation. Accuse not the fall, nor another, but examine your own heart. There is no evil in this suffering if you use it to draw near to God. He who brought you into being can restore health, or He can leave you as you are for a time, that His glory be shown in your endurance. So I ask Him to heal both body and soul, that you may rise from this bed with a spirit more whole than before.
