Pain in the stomach, indigestion, favor at work

Anonymous

Beloved of All
I pray for complete healing in the stomach, I have been dealing with indigestion and stomach ache snd pain, it just doesn’t feel the same, please pray for complete healing I also need a prayer snd favor with people at work. They have been rude and dismissive,

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your physical and emotional burdens to our Heavenly Father. We understand the discomfort and frustration that comes with persistent stomach pain and indigestion, and we stand with you in faith, believing in God’s power to heal. The Bible tells us in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." We claim this promise over your body, trusting that the Lord sees your suffering and will bring complete restoration.

We also pray for favor in your workplace, where you have faced rudeness and dismissal. The Word of God assures us in Proverbs 3:3-4, "Don’t let kindness and truth forsake you. Bind them around your neck. Write them on the tablet of your heart. So you will find favor, and good understanding in the sight of God and man." We ask the Lord to soften the hearts of your coworkers and supervisors, that they may see you with eyes of respect and kindness. May the Lord grant you wisdom in your interactions and open doors of opportunity where there has been resistance.

However, we must also gently address the manner in which this prayer was offered. While we appreciate your heartfelt request, we noticed that it was not directed to God in the name of Jesus Christ. Scripture is clear that there is no other name by which we can approach the Father. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." It is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we have access to God’s throne of grace. If you have not yet placed your trust in Him as your Lord and Savior, we encourage you to do so. Salvation comes by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone (Ephesians 2:8-9). Without this foundation, our prayers cannot be heard or answered according to God’s will.

Now, let us pray together in the name of Jesus:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear one who is suffering from stomach pain and indigestion. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we ask for Your healing touch to restore their body to full health. We declare Your Word over them, that by Your stripes, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5). Remove every trace of discomfort, pain, and illness, and fill them with Your peace and strength.

Father, we also pray for favor in their workplace. We ask that You would change the hearts of those who have been rude and dismissive. Let Your love and kindness flow through this one’s life, so that others may see Christ in them. Grant them wisdom, patience, and grace in every interaction. Open doors of opportunity and bless their efforts, that they may prosper in their work as they honor You.

Lord, we rebuke any spirit of discouragement, bitterness, or resentment that may have taken root in their heart. Fill them instead with Your joy and peace, knowing that You are in control. We trust in Your promise that all things work together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).

We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and to stand on His promises. Keep your heart aligned with His Word, and trust that He is working even when you cannot see it. If your symptoms persist, we also advise seeking medical attention, as the Lord often uses doctors and medicine as part of His healing process. May God bless you abundantly and fill you with His peace.

We’re sorry you’ve been carrying this stomach discomfort for a while, the pain and indigestion, and that unsettling sense that something just doesn’t feel right. When your own body feels off, it can be so draining, and it’s hard not to worry. We want to join you in asking God for complete healing, and we’d also gently encourage you to have a doctor take a look if you haven’t yet. It’s not a lack of faith to seek wise medical insight; it can be a practical step toward the wholeness you’re praying for.

We’re also sad to hear you’ve been facing rudeness and dismissiveness at work. That kind of daily tension wears on the spirit. You’re not alone in that, and it makes complete sense that you’d want favor and more peaceful interactions there. Sometimes the best thing we can do, besides praying, is to quietly entrust those strained relationships to God each morning before we walk in, asking Him to give us steady calm and small opportunities to build understanding, even when others aren’t kind.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this one to You now. We ask for Your healing hand on their stomach, soothe the pain, settle the indigestion, and restore what feels off. Guide any medical steps they take, and grant clear answers. We also ask for Your favor in their workplace: soften hearts, replace hostility with respect, and give them Your peace in the middle of it. You see what weighs on them, and we ask for relief and renewed health. In Your name, amen.

The body’s pains are often the Master’s tools to turn the heart from earthly cisterns to the Fountain of Living Waters. That indigestible morsel within, the ache that settles deep as if it would stir up the very root of your being, this is no mere accident of diet or digestion. It is the plough of the Almighty, cross-ploughing the stubborn soil of your nature, breaking every clod to powder that He might sow seeds of grace in the furrows. When the stomach rebels and the frame is weakened, the spirit is driven to cry out for that healing which flows down from the great conduit Head above, the leaves of the Tree of Life, given for the healing of the nations. The least touch of Christ, the hem of His garment, carries virtue enough to quiet the storm within. Do not think it strange that your healing tarries; the Divine work often goes deepest when the flesh is most tried. He who thrusts out the enemies before His people is also He who permits these adversaries of pain to teach you reliance upon that invisible arm which the carnal mind cannot perceive. And as you wait upon Him in the hour of extremity, know that forgiveness and healing are joined together, the same hand that pardons sin speaks peace to the afflicted frame, and the Sun of Righteousness rises with healing in His wings.

For the rudeness and dismissal you face among your fellows at the workplace, hear this: the favor of man is a beggarly portion, but the favor of God is an overflowing fountain. When the world’s atmosphere grows sharp and cold, the sweet savor of Christ in you becomes a very rebuke to the spirit of this age. Lean not upon the courtesy of those who are but dust, lest you find yourself building upon shifting sand. If they are rude, it is because the carnal mind is enmity against God, and that enmity will often shoot its arrows at the least glimmer of Divine grace in a soul. But see here the grand work of faith, to walk where no visible pathway of kindness is offered, to rest in the Lord while the noise of contention rages round about. He is certainly at work accomplishing His purposes, and His work is often carried forward most mightily when His servants are most still. Rest in Him, and in that rest you shall bear fruit. Look not to the world’s smile, but to the shining of His countenance; that is the favor which will bless you in all that you do, and make even the wilderness a place of springs. The healing of both body and circumstance shall come, not as a reward for your striving, but as the outflow of His own delight in applying the remedy to every part of your being, until you are without spot or wrinkle, thoroughly furnished unto every good work.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The stomach pain you endure is not without purpose. Remember Timothy, that faithful disciple, who suffered such frequent infirmities of the stomach that Paul had to write, “Use a little wine for thy stomach’s sake and thine often infirmities.” Why did not Paul simply heal him by a miracle? He could have done so, the very garments of Paul raised the dead, but he withheld that power deliberately. It was so that even the most virtuous might be kept humble by bodily weakness, and that the rest of us might not be scandalized when we see holy people afflicted. This infirmity is a visitor sent for your profit. It reminds you that you are dust, and it trains you to lean not on your own strength. Do use whatever natural means God provides, wine for the stomach, rest, and medicine, but receive this ache as a teacher of humility, not as a curse. Pray for complete healing, yes, but with thanksgiving, knowing that even a weak body can be a workshop for the soul.

But what of those at work who are rude and dismissive? Here, too, is a hidden medicine. You want favor with them, but consider what kind of favor. Do you long to be honored? Then do not seek the first place. Run to the narrow way. When they cut you with contempt, they are thrusting you toward that narrow gate. Joseph had his betrayers in his very hands, yet he did not take revenge; he wept, and he served them. Will you, then, be vexed and demand that they treat you well? Let their rudeness be an occasion for your greatest victory. When they accuse you falsely or mock you, rejoice, for your reward in heaven is increased. Show them kindness that expects nothing back. Cheerfully serve them, as though you were receiving a favor rather than giving one. If you can do this without pride, you will heap coals not of wrath but of love upon them, and you may yet win some. The poor and the insulting, these are medicine for your wounds. By bearing them patiently, you lend to God and your sins are purged. So pray not only for relief, but for a gentle and thankful spirit in the midst of both the stomach’s ache and the people’s coldness. Let them shape you into a living sacrifice, and you will find the Lord beside you.

Your body is bearing a real burden right now, and your spirit is taking hits from the people around you. It is not wrong to name both. The stomach pain, the indigestion, that constant sense that something is not right inside, can wear you down in ways others cannot see. And to face rudeness and dismissal at work on top of that only compounds the weariness.

I want you to be careful not to link your suffering to a lack of God’s favor. The favor of God, His grace toward you, is not a reward for having a pain free life or a trouble free workplace. That favor was settled on you fully through Jesus Christ. You do not earn more of it by being well, and you do not lose a drop of it by being sick or by being treated poorly. In God’s sight, you stand in the same favor, the same undeserved kindness, as anyone else who belongs to Him. Your physical struggle does not signal that He has pulled back from you.

There are times when God does heal instantly, and we rejoice in that. But there are also times when He does not, and it is never simply because faith was too small or because some hidden sin is blocking His hand. Paul traveled with Timothy, a companion he loved, and Timothy dealt with ongoing stomach issues and frequent illnesses. Paul did not tell him to just have more faith. He gave practical counsel for the stomach, and they continued on together. God’s purposes in allowing a lingering ailment are often hidden from us. He is doing something in the eternal depths of His wisdom that we cannot trace, and that is not a judgment on you.

So, do what you can for your body. If there are natural helps that can ease the indigestion, use them. Ask God for His healing, and then trust Him whether the relief comes at once or slowly, or whether you must learn to endure with His sufficient grace. The pain is real, and He does not scorn your groaning. We are in bodies that break down, and we long for the day when these bodies will be made new.

As for the people at work, do not let their rudeness define what you seek. The favor you need there is not ultimately in their hands. In the Scriptures, Ruth asked to find favor in the eyes of Boaz, not because she demanded it, but because she humbly sought kindness from someone who had the power to give it. Your posture can be the same. You do not fight dismissal with bitterness. You look to the Lord to give you favor, and you treat those difficult people with steady, quiet integrity. Their rudeness is their own burden to carry. Your calling is to remain gracious and diligent, leaving the outcome with God.

There is a day coming when no stomach will ever ache again and no coworker will ever speak a harsh word. No more pain, no more sorrow. The former things will pass away. Until then, your body may hurt and people may disappoint you, but you are held by the One who has already shown you the fullest favor in saving your soul. Let that comfort you right where you are, in the discomfort and in the strain. He has not forgotten you.
