I am so sorry you’re going through this. A stomach that will not settle, throwing up twice and finding no relief, is deeply draining. I want to pray for you and also remind you that God knows exactly how your body feels right now.
Scripture tells us that Jesus Himself bore our infirmities and carried our sicknesses. He understands the weakness of the flesh because He took it all upon Himself. The healing He brought to the sick during His time on earth was not a one-time demonstration; He is the same yesterday and forever, and His power extends even now to your aching stomach.
Sometimes the Lord heals in an instant, and sometimes He walks with us through a gradual process. Either way, the very ability of our bodies to recover is a divine gift, the Creator built those restorative processes into us. Let’s pray that those processes will kick in fully and quickly for you. I ask the Lord to calm the churning, to soothe whatever is raw or irritated, and to let your system settle so you can keep nourishment down again.
I know it’s hard when you expect relief after being sick and instead the misery remains. It’s easy in that moment to wonder why God isn’t acting on your timetable. But His grace is sufficient even here. He does not require you to impress Him with your endurance; He simply invites you to release your need into His hands. The prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise them up. So I join my faith with yours right now.
Father, I lift up this precious one to You. You see every spasm, every wave of nausea. By the authority Jesus has over all things, whether stormy seas or unseen spirits, I ask that You command this stomach to be still, to function as You designed. Let healing flow, whether it comes as a sudden wave of relief or as a gentle strengthening over the next hours. Guard against discouragement and let Your peace, which surpasses understanding, wrap around this person. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Do not be afraid to call for prayer in your local fellowship if you are part of one. God often works through the simple act of asking others to lay hands and pray. But even now, you are not alone. The same Lord who drew near to the sick and demon-possessed is with you in your bedroom or wherever you are resting. Rest in that.
