Beloved of All
I do feel abit overwhelmed my husband working long shifts i have to stay at home I have to wake up for my eldest son prepare for school than also take him to soccer practise and matches while taking care of toddler making sure the house are clean and cooking. My sons have busy schedules and lately my husband just come home eat and sleep while I need to search for job it get to much and draining I barely have time for myself or the bible

We hear your heart and we understand how heavy and draining this season feels for you as you carry so much at home while your husband works long shifts. We see your faithfulness in caring for your eldest son and your toddler, keeping the home, cooking, cleaning, driving to soccer practices and matches, and now carrying the added pressure of searching for a job. God sees every unseen hour of labor and every sacrifice you make for your family, and He cares deeply about your weariness. He is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1, and He invites you to bring this overwhelm to Him.

We want to gently encourage you that even in the busyness of motherhood and marriage, we must not let time in God's Word slip away, for it is our daily bread and strength. Jesus says Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls Matthew 11:28-29. We know it feels like there is no time, but even a few minutes in the morning before the children wake or in the quiet moments while the toddler naps to read and pray will renew you. His mercies are new every morning; great is your faithfulness Lamentations 3:23. We also lovingly exhort you and your husband together, for marriage is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman ordained by God, and you are called to bear one another's burdens Galatians 6:2. Husbands are called to love their wives even as Christ also loved the assembly and gave himself up for it Ephesians 5:25, which means sacrificially serving and strengthening you, not only providing through work but also being present to help, to listen, and to share the load at home. We encourage you to share openly and gently with your husband about how drained you feel, and to invite him to pray with you and to find even small ways to help and to rest together. Jesus Himself said to His disciples Come away into a deserted place, and rest awhile Mark 6:31, and you both need that rhythm of rest.

We also noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and find true rest and salvation. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust fully in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name in every need. Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7 and In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might Isaiah 40:29.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear wife and mother to Your throne of grace. Lord, You see her exhaustion, her constant serving, her love for her sons and her husband, and her desire to honor You even when she feels she has no time left. We ask You to pour out Your strength and peace upon her, to renew her each morning, and to help her find quiet moments to be in Your Word and in prayer. Give her wisdom as she seeks a job, open the right door in Your timing, and provide for all her family's needs. We pray for her husband, that You would strengthen him as he works long shifts, refresh his body and spirit, and stir his heart to love and serve his wife and children more intentionally, that together they may encourage one another and build a home that honors You. Help them to communicate with grace and patience, to bear one another's burdens, and to remember that their marriage is a holy covenant for Your glory. Teach them both to cast their cares on You and to find rest in Christ. We thank You that Your mercies are new every morning and that You are faithful. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, our only hope and Savior, amen.

We hear how thin you are stretched right now, caring for your toddler and your eldest, keeping up with school and soccer, the house and meals, and trying to look for work while your husband is gone for long shifts. When you barely have a moment for yourself, it makes sense that time in the Word feels squeezed out too, and that you feel drained.

What you are describing is not a personal failure. When demands keep coming without relief, anyone can move toward exhaustion. It often happens gradually as roles pile up and there is no margin left to rest or be replenished.

It may help to name one small, realistic shift to try this week rather than trying to fix everything at once. Many moms in your place have found it helpful to choose a short, protected window, even five minutes with your Bible while the toddler is occupied, and to have a calm, brief talk with your husband on a day off about one or two specific tasks he could take when he is home, like a school drop or a dinner cleanup. If there is a trusted family member, friend, or someone at church, consider asking if they could help with one practical need, like a ride to practice.

We are praying for you and your family and we thank God for your faithfulness in caring for them.

Father, we lift this wife and mother to You. You see her love for her family and how weary she feels. Give her rest, wisdom for the days ahead, and gentle moments to meet with You. Give her and her husband unity and clear communication as they sort out these responsibilities. Guide her as she seeks work. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your weariness has come up before the Lord, and He knows what it is to be heavy laden. The Saviour's own invitation is for such as you are, Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

There are two rests that Christ gives, and you have need of both. The first is the rest He gives when you come to Him as a sinner, trusting His finished work, a present rest, not after death only, but now, a perfect rest for the conscience because sin is forgiven. The second is the rest you find as you learn of Him day by day. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me, and ye shall find rest unto your souls. The first is rest given, the second is rest found in the way of discipleship, the rest of a learner at the Saviour's feet. Let your mind be made like the mind of Christ, meek and lowly in heart, and you shall find a deep rest, a growing rest, an abiding rest, even while your hands are full.

Do not think that rest means you must be idle to have it. There is a rest in labour when that labour is done for the Lord Jesus. It is like birds of which we have heard that sleep upon the wing. So the believer may rest even while she serves, because her service is for Him. To labour for Christ, to wash and cook and tend children for His sake, to do the work of a home as unto the Lord, this itself can have rest in it when the heart trusts Him. Trust and you shall rest. Rest in the Lord Himself, not merely in easier circumstances, but in His own faithful care. That is contentment, perfect satisfaction that He orders your lot, and that His strength is made perfect in your weakness.

I know your days are long. To rise for your eldest and prepare him for school, to bear him to his soccer and watch over his matches, to carry a little one upon your hip, to keep the house and set food upon the table, while your husband works long shifts and comes home spent, and you must also look for work, this is much to carry, and it is no wonder you feel drained and have scarce a moment for yourself, much less for the Word. The Lord sees every step you take in that house. Not one cup of water given in His name is forgotten.

Yet you still need the Word, though it be but a little. The rest you seek is found by learning of Him. If you cannot have an hour, take a verse. Let a short psalm be read while the pot simmers, or a single promise be prayed over while you fold clothes. Rest in the Lord, says the psalm, and that word means to be still before Him, to trust that He is God and you are in His hand. A brief looking to Jesus with faith is better than long hours of striving without Him. He will not despise the short prayer of a busy mother. He heard the prayers of mothers long ago, and He hears yours now.

There remaineth a rest for the people of God, a perfect rest in glory where there shall be no more weary mornings and no more heavy burdens. That heavenly rest will be all the sweeter for the toil that went before. But even now, we who have believed do enter into rest. You may have that rest in your soul today, though your body is tired, because Christ Himself is your rest.

May the Lord give you wisdom to speak gently with your husband in a calm hour, that together you may order these burdens more equally, and that he may understand your need of help and of time to seek the Lord. May He give your husband strength for his labour and you strength for yours, and provide for your family as you seek work, opening the right door in His own time.

I pray for you now. O Lord Jesus, Thou who hast promised rest to the weary, look upon this daughter who labours and is heavy laden. Give her rest as she comes to Thee anew, and teach her to find rest as she learns of Thee. Quiet her heart with Thy love, sustain her body, guard her home, and let Thy Word dwell in her though it be but a little each day. Provide for all her needs according to Thy riches, and keep her and her husband and her children in Thy faithful care. Let her prove that to trust Thee is to rest, and to serve Thee is itself a kind of rest, until she comes to that perfect rest which remaineth. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your weariness is real and God sees the full weight of what you are carrying each day. Waking early for your eldest, running to school and soccer, caring for a toddler, keeping the house, cooking, and trying to search for a job while your husband works long shifts and comes home with little left to give would leave anyone feeling drained and stretched thin. It is understandable that you feel you have no time left for yourself and even less for the Bible.

Scripture speaks directly to this kind of exhaustion. There remains a rest for the people of God, and we are urged not to harden our hearts but to keep our hope and expectation set on what is to come. That does not mean your present labor is meaningless. It means your present labor is not the end of the story. The good you do in your home, often unseen and unthanked, is seen by the Lord, and He promises a reception in heaven that is secure for those who trust in Christ. At the same time we are told to labor to enter that rest, to keep our minds fixed there, lest we fall through unbelief and discouragement.

Great vigor of soul is needed when the pressures come like a violent blast, and that is what you are feeling now. When everything is demanding at once, the soul wants to sink. The word to you in such a moment is, do not grow weary in doing good. That does not mean do more in your own strength. It means keep doing the next faithful thing God has placed before you, and trust Him with the rest. He does not ask for perfection in every task, but for faithfulness with a heart turned toward Him.

In these busy days, try to give God small, steady moments rather than waiting for long quiet hours that may not come. A single psalm while the toddler naps, a verse read aloud while you cook, a short prayer on the way to practice, these are not small in His eyes. Speak openly and gently with your husband when you both have a calm moment, not to accuse but to share the burden plainly and to seek a way to carry it together. If there is a trusted family member, friend, or someone in your church, ask for practical help, even for an hour, so you can breathe and be renewed.

I pray for you now, that the Lord Jesus Christ will be your strength when you have none left, that He will guard your heart from despair and give you daily grace for each task. May He give your husband renewed strength and understanding, and give you both wisdom to support one another in love. May He quiet your heart with the hope laid up for you, and draw you each day into His word, even in brief moments, so you find rest for your soul in Him. May the God of love and peace be with you and your household, and keep you from falling, as you look to Him.
