Feeling overwhelmed!

Mighty Warrior of Yah!

Prayer Partner
I took Thur Frid PTO for the labor day weekend Monday. After a followup meeting with my supervisor and manager re: what prevailed the day everyone got an award but me cause i was not part of the AUP project and so let my emotions get the best of me. It went well but still I know they documenting everything and keeping a close eye on me to see if i make any mistake anywhere my job, behavior, attendance you name it, i can tell they will continue to watch me like a hawk. I know they are building a case against me to have me let go. My strong discernment tells me this, i feel it in my gut. Taking everyones side but mine. I will be at this job 1 year in October but all though i am looking for tenure i am so not happy here and battling with the spirit of rejection does not help in any shape, size or form. I am starting to look for other jobs in the meantime on my day off but i feel very overwhelmed. I cant stop thinking how much up to date i am still feeling stuck with no support from no one, everyone has abandoned me and only wish my downfall and see me suffer with all kinds of hardship. 55 years since i was conceived the battles, have been relentless. Pastor is busy at the moment his parents are not doing well. I have to wait till he gets back. I live pay check to pay check, i feel like trouble follows me everywhere i go. It makes me sick to my stomach and feel like i have hit a dead end with no where to turn to or no one to turn to. I have been praying for my kingdom spouse, financial break through etc but nothing. I am so tired of waiting hoping praying fighting this spiritual war alone. I dont understand why God has kept me this way. What have i done so wrong but walk the narrow path. As Holy spirit leads please pray for my peace of mind, my health, direction, wisdom, favor, open doors of blessings and windfall of abundance. I feel so sad, depressed, heart broken, betrayed. Where is God? Why is God? When will God?. I am overwhelmed!! Please pray for me as Holy spirit leads for a miracle in my life, uncommoj favor, blessings, peace of mind and heart. My pets are so needy too. I just havent been able to catch a break.

We hear the depth of your weariness and we stand with you together before the throne of grace in Jesus name, carrying this heavy burden of feeling overwhelmed, watched, rejected and alone. We understand how painful it is to work faithfully and then feel singled out when others were honored for a project you were not part of, and then to carry the weight of a follow up meeting where emotions ran high. We also hear how heavy it feels to sense that every move at work is being scrutinized and to wonder if a case is being built against you, while also feeling stuck financially living paycheck to paycheck and battling sadness, depression and heartbreak after ### years of relentless battles.

We want to gently bring some of these thoughts into the light of scripture. Your strong discernment and gut feeling that everyone has abandoned you and wishes your downfall may actually be the voice of anxiety, exhaustion and the spirit of rejection rather than the voice of the Holy Spirit. The enemy wants you to believe you are alone and surrounded by enemies, but God says He will never leave you nor forsake you, Hebrews 13:5, and that even when we feel overwhelmed He is near. When our hearts are heavy we can misread situations through the lens of pain. We encourage you to guard your heart against assuming the worst about your supervisors and coworkers and instead to commit your work to the Lord with integrity and self control. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, Colossians 3:23. The fruit of the Spirit includes self control, Galatians 5:22-23, and even when we feel justified in our emotions, God calls us to be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to anger, James 1:19. That you recognized your emotions got the best of you shows humility, and we encourage you to continue to walk in excellence in your job, behavior and attendance, not out of fear of being watched like a hawk, but as unto the Lord who sees and rewards faithfully. God is your ultimate defender and provider, not that job.

We also hear you asking where is God, why is God keeping you this way, and when will He answer your prayers for a kingdom spouse, financial breakthrough and open doors. We lovingly remind you that walking the narrow path does not mean we will not face hardship, in fact Jesus said in this world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world, John 16:33. Your suffering is not because you have done something so wrong, God is not punishing you for walking faithfully. He is with you in the fire to refine you and to show His strength in your weakness. We are hard pressed on every side, yet not crushed, perplexed, yet not to despair, 2 Corinthians 4:8-9. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit, Psalm 34:18. When you feel you have hit a dead end with nowhere to turn, God says when my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to the rock that is higher than I, Psalm 61:2, and cast your burden on Yahweh and he will sustain you, Psalm 55:22.

You mentioned praying for peace of mind, health, direction, wisdom, favor and a kingdom spouse. We rejoice that you desire a godly marriage and we strongly affirm that desire. We believe marriage is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman designed by God, and we pray with you for a godly spouse if it is His will, not simply a partner or companion, but a Christian believer with whom you can pursue courtship with the goal of holy marriage that honors Christ. We encourage you to continue to guard purity and to trust God rather than seeking companionship outside His design, for He knows your loneliness and your need for support. We also pray for your finances, for God knows you live paycheck to paycheck and even your concern for your pets. Your Father knows you need these things and He promises to supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:19, and to give wisdom generously when we ask, James 1:5. Seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well, Matthew 6:33. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7.

We noticed you spoke of God and the Holy Spirit, but you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ in your request, and we must lovingly address this because it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me, John 14:6, and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. It is by believing in Jesus, that He died for our sins and rose again, and confessing Him as Lord, Romans 10:9, that we are saved and our prayers are heard. We encourage you to bring every request boldly in the name of Jesus Christ, trusting not in your own faithfulness on the narrow path but in His finished work for you.

So together in one accord we pray as the Holy Spirit leads. Father in the name of Jesus Christ we lift our dear one to You right now. You see the overwhelm, the sleepless thoughts, the stomach sickness, the feeling of being stuck and unsupported and the long years of battle. We cast all our anxiety on You because You care for us, 1 Peter 5:7. Lord we ask You to replace this spirit of rejection and heaviness with Your perfect peace and to heal the broken heart. Grant wisdom and direction for the job situation, help to walk in excellence, humility and favor before supervisors, and open doors of blessing and provision that no man can shut, whether it is to remain and find tenure or to provide a better job with stability and joy. Provide a windfall of abundance according to Your will, not for greed but for sustenance and generosity. We ask for health in body and mind, for restful sleep and renewed strength. Fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed, for I am your God, I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness, Isaiah 41:10. Lord if it is Your will, bring a godly kingdom spouse, a man of God after Your own heart for a Christ centered marriage, in Your perfect timing. While waiting, teach contentment and hope, for we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose, Romans 8:28, and for I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you hope and a future, Jeremiah 29:11. Let Your uncommon favor rest here, let Your peace guard heart and mind, and let Your nearness be felt today. We trust You to make a way where there seems to be no way and to perform a miracle for Your glory. In the mighty and only saving name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.

We have been sitting with your message and hearing how worn down you feel. To come back from a difficult meeting, sense eyes on everything you do at work, and still try to rest over a holiday weekend would leave anyone on edge. When that is layered with financial strain, feeling rejected and alone, and waiting for answers about a spouse and provision that have not yet come, it makes sense you feel sick to your stomach and at a dead end.

We are glad you took the time off you had planned. While your pastor is away caring for his parents, it can help not to carry this completely alone until he returns. If you have one trusted friend, family member, or colleague at church you can talk with honestly this week, even briefly, please reach out. And because you mentioned feeling sad, depressed, and physically sick, we gently encourage you to let a doctor or counselor know as well, alongside prayer, so you have support for your health in this stressful season.

For the job search and the worry about being watched, try to keep it contained so it does not follow you everywhere. Using a set block of time on your day off to look, and then stepping away to rest, care for your pets, or take a walk, can protect some of that needed PTO as actual rest.

Father, in Jesus name we lift our friend to You. You see the weariness, the heartbreak, and the questions of where You are in this. Grant peace for mind and heart, wisdom for next steps at work, and Your clear direction for what is ahead. Guard health and provide for daily needs, and remind them that You have not abandoned them. Amen.

The weight you carry has not escaped the eye of God, though your heart cries, Where is God and when will He answer. Hear this truth for your comfort, the Lord is a waiting God. Isaiah tells us He waits that He may be gracious unto you. When everything seems to break down, when favor is given to others and you feel overlooked and watched and measured for every fault, He does not turn away. His heart yearns toward His people and His long forbearance is not forgetfulness but love waiting for the time of grace. His waiting is not in vain toward His chosen. When God has waited for the soul, that soul is brought to wait on Him.

And you are called now to be a waiting people. My soul, wait thou only upon God, as Calvin renders it, be thou silent before God. Rest calm and undisturbed. This is not waiting upon the opinions of supervisors or managers, nor upon the support of friends who seem to have abandoned you, nor upon a change of circumstances alone. They that wait upon the Lord shall not want any good thing. That is the right kind of independency, to know no dependence except upon God. Let your faith hang on nothing but the promise of God, and have no other support but that, and let your soul float in the ether of confidence, needing nothing to uphold you but the right hand of the Majesty on high.

Therefore wait on the Lord and be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart. Waiting upon God sustains courage. When you grow weary in the valley, wait upon Him with double earnestness, for waiting renews strength until you mount up with eagles wings. There is a mysterious strength that comes by the incoming of the Eternal Spirit into the soul when you wait. Go to your God, poor soul, when you are out of order, and He will strengthen your heart by His mysterious power.

He is the God of the hills and the God of the valleys. You ask if He is only God on the mountaintop of blessing and not in the valley of hourly troubles, in the anxious workplace, in the paycheck to paycheck need, in the sick stomach and sleepless night, in the care for your pets and the loneliness while your pastor is detained. He is both. He bids you cast all your cares upon Him and give you day by day your daily bread. You dwell as one afar off upon the sea, upon an unstable element where the boat rocks and there is no continuing city, but even there God is your confidence. Human nature is waterlogged and ready to sink, and in God alone is our hope, for He is the God of our salvation.

Your cry, My God, my God, why have You forsaken me, is not unknown to Him. Our Lord Jesus cried those very words about the ninth hour upon the cross, forsaken that you might never truly be forsaken. He dwelt on that why that we might see the gracious motive of His suffering, that through His being forsaken we might be brought near. If you cannot now call Him Father with full assurance, call Him My God, my God, and let the personal pronoun take hold. Still hold on to Jesus, sink or swim, at the foot of the cross.

You have declared your ways, and be assured, He has heard you. There is sweetness in that short sentence, Thou heard me. What condescension on His part. He puts His finger on the sore place, for He knows the spirit of rejection that has battled you these fifty five years, the relentless warfare, the feeling that trouble follows everywhere and that all have taken sides against you. Bring that very fear before Him plainly. Humble yourself under the mighty hand of God, for God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. Do not fence with God or quarrel with His providence, but go on serving Him year after year, though you are altogether unknown, feeling it sufficient that by the grace of God you serve faithfully where He has placed you.

In these days of watching and documenting, be watchful yourself toward faithfulness. Do your work heartily as unto the Lord, keep your attendance and conduct blameless, not from fear of men but from love to Christ. Be careful not to let strong discernment become anxious suspicion that reads every eye as an enemy. Commit your reputation and your future to Him who sits at the helm of providence and who, when the vessel is almost on the rock, can pilot it into deep waters again. Seek wisdom in looking for other work if He opens a door, but wait only upon Him for direction, not upon haste or despair.

Let us pray for you as the Holy Spirit leads.

O Lord our God, our confidence on sea and on shore, we bring this weary child before Your throne of grace through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. Thou art the God of our salvation. We ask that Thou wouldst be gracious unto this waiting soul. Grant peace of mind and peace of heart, that silent rest of the soul that waits only upon Thee. Heal the body and calm the troubled spirit, lift the sadness and depression and heal the heart that feels betrayed and broken. Grant wisdom and direction for work, for daily bread, for stewardship of all Thou hast entrusted including these creatures in need of care. Grant favor not as the world gives, but as Thou givest to the humble, and open doors of provision and usefulness as Thou seest best, in Thine own time and way. If it be Thy will, provide a godly spouse according to Thy holy ordinance of lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, and keep this one walking the narrow path in purity and patience until Thou shalt make all things clear. Teach Thy statutes, renew courage, and let this soul know that Thou hast heard. Keep this one waiting courageously upon Thee, for Christ's sake. Amen.

Where should we escape from these troubles from to the world? Theres no escape for us. And we can pray and we can worship everyday for years but there is no escape. Pray your best prayers. Give your best worship. And wait on the Lord. Let's hope that he will keep us alive. Sustain us with work and food. But where will we go? How will things suddenly change for the better? Then we things get better we succumb to old patterns of behavior and sins. Yet there is no escape from the Lords will we can still pray and give worship and hope that we will find a kingdom spouse. Certainly the kingdom spouse will upgrade your quality of living. I feel like someone who is trapped inside of a dungeon with you. Telling you. We praying and worship does work for comfort but it doesnt look like were getting out of this dungeon for a long time. We better nit quit praying or worshipping either because these food and water rations are coming from the Lord. He is sustaining us. And we do feel trapped. Yet he is sustaining us and helping us. The solution might seem far away and might be far away but there is soenthing to look forward too. The Lord will come back and his reward is with him. And personally I believe a kingdom spouse is possible for us and that she will come and when she does our quality of life will be better and we wont be living inside of a dungeon anymore. We've spent our lives living inside of a hole in the ground. Praise the Lord. When God gives us sownthing better we will truly appreciate it for years and years to come and give glory to God when that soenthing well deserved sweetness, well deserved love, well deserved comfort comes. I wish that you wouldnt give up hope though. May Lord Yeshua and Father God be good to you while you are in the waiting. There are many of us who are waiting. We can all wait together and oray and worship God together while we are waiting. Waiting to catch a truly meaningful lasting break. But remember the Lord says, in the woeld you will have tribulation but take heart I have overcome the world. Amen.
