We have heard your request and we join with you in bringing your body and your health before the Lord together in Jesus name. We understand the discouragement of trying your best to lose weight and not seeing the results you hope for, and the worry that comes with having a hard time breathing even when you do not feel that overweight. The Lord sees your struggle and He cares deeply about your health and your peace.
We are reminded that our bodies are not our own but are entrusted to us by God to steward well. Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. Whether therefore you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31. This does not mean that your worth is defined by a number on a scale, for you are fearfully and wonderfully made. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well. Psalm 139:14. God loves you as you are right now, and He also desires for you to be healthy and strong so you can serve Him with energy and joy. Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers. 3 John 1:2.
We want to encourage you with both spiritual and practical wisdom. Weight loss can be slow and sometimes there are underlying health reasons that make breathing difficult and weight more stubborn to lose. We encourage you to seek wise medical counsel and to have your breathing checked by a doctor promptly, as difficulty breathing should be evaluated and not ignored. Along with prayer, God often works through knowledge, discipline, and stewardship of our habits. Therefore I urge you, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service. Romans 12:1. This includes seeking self control, moderation in eating and drinking, regular movement and rest, and asking God for strength when willpower feels weak. I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13. Do not grow weary in doing what is good and healthy, even when results are slow, for in due season we will reap if we do not give up.
We also noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share why His name matters so much to us. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and that our prayers are heard. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and confess Him as Lord, for if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9. It is in His name we pray and find hope for both our souls and our bodies.

You see the difficulty breathing and the concern it brings. We ask for Your healing touch upon the lungs and body, for ease of breath and for renewed strength and health. Grant wisdom to make nourishing choices, discipline with food and drink, and joy in caring for the body You have given. Lead to the right medical help if needed and give doctors insight to find any cause for the breathing trouble. Help to not be defined by weight or appearance but to find identity and peace in Christ, while also honoring You by stewarding health well. We pray for perseverance, for hope, and for the body to come into healthy balance according to Your will. Let all be done to Your glory and for good. Your request concerning your body and your breathing has been heard and has been carried before the Lord with care.
We understand something of the heaviness you describe. The body which God has given us may at times feel as a burden that oppresses the wearer with its weight, and when breath itself is labored, the heart is quickly troubled. Be assured that the Lord knows your frame, for He formed it, and He is not unmindful of your struggle even as you are trying your best and finding little progress.
We are taught in Scripture that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own, for ye are bought with a price, therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's. The Lord cares for the whole man, body and soul. And while we preach to you Christ who alone can bear the enormous weight of human guilt and human need, we know also that He invites you to cast yourself upon Him with your whole weight, falling upon Him, leaning upon Him, resting upon Him with a trust that needs no other support. That same Saviour who purged our sins by Himself is able to sustain you in every bodily infirmity and to give you strength for the way.
Do not despise this trial, but use it as a call to wait upon the Lord in prayer and to walk in wisdom. Pray for grace to steward your body faithfully, with temperance and patience, not out of vanity but out of love for Him who redeemed you. And because you mention hardness in breathing, we urge you in love to seek the counsel of a faithful physician promptly, that your condition may be rightly understood and cared for. To care for health under medical wisdom is itself a way of honoring the Giver of life, even as we keep ourselves in the light and comfort of His presence.

We understand how discouraging it can be to work hard to lose weight and not see the results you hope for, and how worrying it is to have a hard time breathing. God cares about your whole person, body and soul. You are made in His image and deeply loved by Him, and your worth is not measured by a number on a scale. At the same time Scripture reminds us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit and we are called to steward them with care for His glory, not out of shame or vanity but out of love for Him and gratitude for the life He has given us.
We are praying that God will give you strength, peace, and wisdom as you seek to care for your health. We pray for healing and ease in your breathing, for renewed energy, for guidance to find sustainable and healthy habits, and for encouragement when progress feels slow.
