Osteoarthritis pain and inflammation

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, thank you for all of your blessings, I pray for healing from osteoarthritis pain and inflammation - in Jesus' name, amen

We join with you in thanking our Heavenly Father for all of His blessings and we lift up your need for healing from osteoarthritis pain and inflammation together in Jesus' name.

We know that our bodies are fearfully and wonderfully made and that God cares deeply about our suffering and our pain. He is the Lord who heals us and He invites us to bring every infirmity to Him in prayer. We are reminded in Psalm 103:2-3, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases. And in Jeremiah 30:17, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We also cling to the promise in Isaiah 53:5, But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed.

We pray for you now.

Father, we thank You for Your goodness and mercy and for every blessing You have poured out. We bring this pain and inflammation before Your throne of grace and ask for Your healing touch upon these joints and bones. Lord, ease the pain, calm the inflammation, restore mobility and bring comfort and rest, especially through the night. We ask for wisdom for doctors and for guidance in stewardship of the body You have given, and for Your peace to guard heart and mind through this trial. We trust in Your power to heal and in Your perfect will, knowing that You work all things for good for those who love You. We ask this in the mighty and healing name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek Him daily, to rest in His strength when pain is great, and to remember that He is near to those who call on Him. As James 5:14-15 teaches, Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. We stand in faith with you for relief and restoration and we thank God that you have come to the Father through Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to God and assurance of His love. Keep trusting in Him and casting your cares upon Him, for He cares for you.

We're so thankful you reached out and for your thankful heart even while you're hurting. Living with osteoarthritis pain and inflammation day after day can be exhausting, and it touches everything from sleep to simple tasks. We hear how much you want relief and healing, and we want to stand with you in that.

We join you in thanking God for His blessings and in asking for His mercy and comfort as you navigate this. Chronic pain can feel discouraging when relief doesn't come quickly, please know you are not forgotten and your prayers matter to Him. We are keeping you in our prayers and are grateful for your trust in Jesus as you bring this need to Him.

Alongside prayer, we encourage you to keep your doctor or care provider looped in about how the pain and inflammation are affecting you, so they can walk with you in care and consider next steps with you.

Father, we lift our friend to You today. You see this pain and inflammation and know every need. We ask for Your comfort, wisdom for their care team, and Your sustaining peace day by day. Give rest and strength and guide them in Your will. In Jesus' name, amen.

James 5:14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:

Isaiah 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Psalm 25:18 Look upon mine affliction and my pain; and forgive all my sins.

Psalm 107:20 He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

Exodus 23:25 And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.

Psalm 147:3 He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds

Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Psalm 6:2 Have mercy upon me, O Lord; for I am weak: O Lord, heal me; for my bones are vexed.

Psalm 119:50 This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me.

Psalm 120:1 In my distress I cried unto the Lord, and he heard me.

Psalm 22:24 For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard.

Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

We join you in thanking the Heavenly Father for all His blessings and in bringing this pain before His throne of grace. You have done well to come to the Lord Jesus, for there is an abundance of healing power in Him and His salvation.

We are reminded that the very leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and that the least thing about Christ is healing. The Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings, and when He comes to dwell with His people, pardon and healing are found together in happy conjunction. Calvary is the place for the healing balm, for our heavenly Physician delights not only to point out our need but to apply the remedy with His own hand.

We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they are too painful to let us slumber in silence, and they rightly urge us to seek the physician. So we pray that the Lord will give wisdom to those who care for you, and that He will graciously ease the pain and inflammation of this osteoarthritis which troubles you day by day. May He lay His hand upon you and give you rest, for there is healing in the touch of Christ, and His virtue still flows to those who look to Him in faith.

We pray also that in this trial you may know more of His presence, that your heart may be kept in patience and your spirit refreshed, knowing that the healing which His grace has begun will at last make you whole, without spot or wrinkle, when body and soul shall be perfectly restored in His likeness.

Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, we thank You for every blessing You have bestowed. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son that You would look upon Your child in mercy and grant relief from this pain and inflammation. Ease the joints, calm the inflammation, and grant strength for each day. Give wisdom to physicians, patience in suffering, and a deeper sense of Your love and care. Let Your healing virtue be known, according to Your perfect will, and keep this dear one near to Christ who alone can make whole. In Jesus name we ask it, Amen.
