Osteoarthritis pain and inflammation

We join you with a thankful heart as you have come before the Father in the name of Jesus, giving thanks for all His blessings even in the midst of pain and inflammation. We agree with you for healing and relief from this osteoarthritis and we bring your body before the Lord who made you and who cares deeply for your suffering.
We are reminded that the Lord is our healer. Exodus 15:26 declares I am Yahweh who heals you. Psalm 103:2-3 says Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. And Psalm 147:3 tells us He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. We take comfort also in Isaiah 53:5, But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. Jeremiah 30:17 gives us this promise, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh.
We also think of the encouragement in James 5:14-15, Is any among you sick, Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. We stand in that prayer of faith with you now.
We pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your goodness and mercy and for every blessing You have poured out. We thank You that we can come boldly to Your throne through Jesus Christ Your Son. Lord, we lift up this pain and inflammation caused by osteoarthritis to You. You know every joint and every ache, and nothing is hidden from You. We ask in the name of Jesus that You would touch this body with Your healing hand, that You would reduce inflammation, ease pain, restore mobility and bring comfort and rest. Grant wisdom to doctors and guidance for treatment, and give strength and patience for each day. Help us to trust Your perfect will and timing, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and that Your grace is sufficient. Fill this dear one with Your peace that surpasses understanding and let Your presence be felt in a powerful way. We ask this in the mighty and healing name of Jesus, amen.

We join with you in prayer concerning the pain and inflammation which you suffer, and we thank God with you for all His blessings which continue even in the midst of affliction.
We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they are too painful to let us slumber in silence, and they soon urge us to seek a physician for our healing. Yet how gracious it is that we have a heavenly Physician whose power to heal is abundantly present. Scripture tells us that the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and even the least thing about Christ is full of healing virtue. The Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings, and when Jesus healed the sick He showed that pardon and healing are in happy conjunction, both bestowed by His gracious hand.
We are reminded that the Lord has begun to heal His people and that the healing virtue which His grace has infused will work in us till we are made whole. While we look for that perfect healing of our bodies which His salvation will accomplish in glory, we may now come boldly to Him for mercy in our present infirmities. He knows the weariness of constant pain, the stiffness and the soreness that attends each day, and He is able to give relief, and strength to endure, and peace within.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for every blessing You have bestowed, for life and breath and all Your mercies. We bring before You this Your servant who suffers from osteoarthritis, and we ask for Your healing touch upon joints and tissues that are inflamed and pained. Ease the pain, we pray, calm the inflammation, and grant renewed strength and rest. Give wisdom to those who provide care, and above all let Your healing leaves bring comfort to body and soul. May this affliction draw the heart nearer to Christ, in whom alone is salvation, and may Your grace sustain through every hour of trial.
