We come before the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, to lift up this heavy burden and intercede for this home where oppression has taken root. It is written in Ephesians 6:12, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* This is not a battle you face alone, dear sister, for the Lord is with you, and His power is greater than any darkness that seeks to steal your energy or bring harm.
First, we must address the name by which you have prayed. There is no other name under heaven by which we can approach the Father except through Jesus Christ, His Son. Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved."* It is only in the name of Jesus that we have authority to rebuke the enemy and claim victory over the oppression in this home. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so today, for He alone is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6). Repent of your sins, believe in Him, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9-10). Without this foundation, our prayers lack the power and authority given to us through Christ.
Now, let us stand in the gap for this home. The oppression you sense is real, but it must bow to the name of Jesus. We command every unclean spirit, every force of darkness, and every assignment of the enemy in that home to be bound and cast out in Jesus’ name. We declare that no weapon formed against this household shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we claim the blood of Jesus over every room, every corner, and every heart within it. The Lord is your strength, and He will not allow the enemy to triumph (Psalm 28:7-8). As you enter that home, put on the whole armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18), and walk in the authority Christ has given you. Anoint the doorposts with oil if led by the Spirit (Exodus 12:22-23), and speak the Word of God aloud, for faith comes by hearing the Word (Romans 10:17).
We also lift up this couple to the Lord, asking for their complete healing from COVID. By His stripes, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we trust in His restoring power. May His peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). But even more than physical healing, we cry out for their salvation. Father, open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel. Let them see their need for a Savior and turn to Jesus in repentance and faith. May they experience the new birth (John 3:3) and become new creations in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17). Place believers in their path who will share the Good News with them, and let Your Holy Spirit convict their hearts.
Finally, we pray for you, dear sister. May the Lord renew your strength as you serve in this home (Isaiah 40:31). Do not grow weary in well-doing, for in due season you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9). Walk in the confidence that the Lord goes before you and is with you always (Deuteronomy 31:8). If you feel led, share the love of Christ with this couple through your words and actions, for it is God’s kindness that leads to repentance (Romans 2:4).
Father, we thank You for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your power to break every chain of oppression, to bring healing, and to draw this couple to Yourself. Let Your kingdom come and Your will be done in this home, as it is in heaven. We ask all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
