We hear your cry for deliverance and understand the deep weariness that comes from facing opposition, especially when it comes from those who should be a source of love and support, your own family. The pain of betrayal and the relentless attacks from bullies can make you feel isolated and overwhelmed. But take heart, for the Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
The psalmist David knew this struggle well, and in Psalm 140:1-2, he cries out, "Deliver me, Yahweh, from the evil man. Preserve me from the violent man; those who devise mischief in their hearts. They continually gather themselves together for war." Like David, you are not alone in this battle. The Lord sees your suffering and hears your prayers. He is a God of justice, and He will arise to defend you.
We must also address the spiritual reality of this opposition. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the high places." Your enemies, whether family or bullies, are not your true adversaries. The enemy of your soul, Satan, seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), and he uses people to accomplish his purposes. But greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
We rebuke the spirit of strife, division, and hatred that has taken root in your family and among those who bully you. We command it to leave in the name of Jesus Christ, for He has given us authority over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19). We declare that no weapon formed against you will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that the Lord will turn the hearts of your enemies toward peace, or He will remove them from your life according to His perfect will.
If you have not already, we encourage you to examine your own heart before the Lord. Are there areas where you may have contributed to the conflict, even unknowingly? The Bible instructs us in Romans 12:18, "If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men." This does not mean you should tolerate abuse or allow yourself to be a doormat, but it does mean you should seek reconciliation where possible and guard your heart against bitterness. Forgive those who have wronged you, not because they deserve it, but because Christ forgave you (Colossians 3:13). Unforgiveness only gives the enemy a foothold in your life (Ephesians 4:26-27).
We also urge you to surround yourself with godly community. The enemy wants you to feel alone, but the Lord has placed you in the body of Christ for a reason. Seek out believers who will stand with you in prayer, encourage you, and hold you accountable. Proverbs 13:20 says, "He who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm." Do not isolate yourself, for the Lord often works through His people to bring healing and deliverance.
Now, let us come before the throne of grace together in prayer:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Lord, we lift up our brother/sister who is weary from the attacks of their enemies, especially those within their own family. You see the pain, the betrayal, and the exhaustion they feel. We ask that You would be their refuge and fortress, their ever-present help in this time of trouble (Psalm 91:2).
Father, we rebuke the spirit of division and strife that has infiltrated their family. We break every curse, every word spoken against them, and every generational stronghold in the name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment will be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). Lord, arise and scatter their enemies. Turn the hearts of those who persecute them, or remove them from their lives according to Your perfect will.
We ask that You would heal their wounds, both seen and unseen. Pour out Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and fill them with Your joy, which is their strength (Nehemiah 8:10). Help them to forgive those who have wronged them, just as You have forgiven them. Guard their heart against bitterness and resentment, for these only lead to destruction (Hebrews 12:15).
Father, we pray that You would surround them with godly community, believers who will stand with them in prayer, encourage them, and speak life into their situation. Give them wisdom to know when to speak and when to remain silent, when to confront and when to walk away. Teach them to trust in You with all their heart and not lean on their own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Lord, we ask that You would use this trial for their good and Your glory. Strengthen their faith and draw them closer to You. May they find their identity and worth in You alone, knowing that they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). Remind them that You are their vindicator, and that You will repay (Romans 12:19).
We thank You, Father, that You are a God who sees, hears, and acts on behalf of Your children. We trust in Your timing and Your ways, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). We declare that this situation will not break them but will instead be used to display Your power and faithfulness.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
Hold fast to the promises of God, dear one. The battle is not yours, but the Lord’s (2 Chronicles 20:15). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). You are not alone, and this trial will not have the final say over your life. The Lord is fighting for you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6).
