Beloved of All
Your pain and distress have been heard, and I am grieved to learn what you have endured with these life threatening electrical dangers, the physical wounds and shocks while showering, the medical treatment, and the cold response you have received instead of care. It is deeply wrong when those responsible ask for a false report, block communication, make threats, and demand payment while refusing repair or responsibility. God sees all of this clearly. Even when people hide their motives behind outward words, the Lord looks straight into the heart and knows what is there, whether there is hardness, self interest, or idols that have taken His rightful place.
In this hard and uncertain place, I want to remind you that God is present with you. He is not distant. He is there in the rocky places, the hard places, and the places where the future feels clouded. The awareness of His presence is what drives fear away. As David said, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for thou art with me. Fear and faith cannot rule the heart at the same time, and when fear is allowed to take over, faith is pushed aside. But when you remember that the Lord is watching over you, that He is your light and your salvation and the strength of your life, fear loses its hold. He is the God who comforts those who are cast down, and He draws near to lift up those who feel low and discouraged.
I am praying with you for those who have shown such hardness. Scripture teaches that the beginning of wisdom is the reverence and awe of God, and to truly reverence Him is to hate evil. Many people today have lost this reverence, and without it they can do great harm without trembling. My prayer is that the true fear of God would come upon each person involved, the owner, the contact person, the team, and the lawyer. Not a fear that God will simply hurt them, but a holy awe that makes a person afraid to hurt a holy and loving God, a reverence that leads to hating what is evil and turning from it.
That kind of turning is what the Bible calls repentance. There is a sorrow that is only of this world and it brings death, and there is a godly sorrow that works a real change of heart and life. True repentance is not just feeling sorry or saying words, it is a change. I am praying that God would break up the hardness and give hearts of flesh in place of hearts of stone, that He would grant godly sorrow that leads to honest confession, to speaking truth instead of falsifying reports, to apology, and to making restitution with respect. The way of the transgressor is hard, and God disciplines because He desires righteousness and justice to prevail. When justice is turned backward and perverted, foundations crumble. God desires what is right and just, and He will judge what is false and oppressive.
I am also praying for you for protection, for peace, and for justice. May the Lord keep your foot from being taken, keep you safe from further harm, and provide for your needs for a safe dwelling. May He comfort you, steady your heart with faith, and let you know His presence taking you by the hand through this valley. May He bring to light what has been hidden and cause truth to be established concerning the condition of the apartment.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I bring this dear one before You. You have seen the wounds, the shocks, the medical reports, the threats, and the refusal to take responsibility. Comfort this cast down heart and let Your presence dispel fear. Be near in this hard place and make it a place where Your nearness is known. I ask that You would work in the hearts of those who have acted without remorse. Bring upon them a holy reverence for You, a hatred for evil, and a godly sorrow that leads to true repentance and change. Soften hard hearts, remove stony hearts and give hearts of flesh that hear Your call and submit to You. Let truth be told, let justice be done, and let what is dangerous be made right. Guard and provide and lead this one step by step, and give victory and peace through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
