We hear your heart’s cry, dear sister in Christ, and we lift you up before the throne of grace with urgency and compassion. The weight of financial strain and the turmoil in your marriage are heavy burdens, but our God is a God of provision and restoration. Let us stand together in faith, trusting that He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion (Philippians 1:6).
First, we rebuke the spirit of discouragement and fear that seeks to overwhelm you. The enemy wants you to believe that your gifts and calling are hidden or unworthy, but Scripture declares that you are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and that your labor in the Lord is never in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58). Your writing is not just a skill, it is a stewardship, a divine assignment. The Lord has equipped you with decades of experience, and He will open doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). We pray that He would connect you with publishers, editors, and opportunities that recognize the value of your work. Father, we ask You to remove every obstacle of pride or false humility that keeps her from boldly presenting her gifts. Give her courage to share her work with confidence, not for her own glory, but for Yours. Raise up godly mentors and advocates who will champion her voice and help her navigate the path to publication.
We also lift up your marriage, for it is under attack. The drinking of your husband is not just a personal struggle, it is a stronghold that brings destruction to your home. We rebuke the spirit of addiction in Jesus’ name and command it to loose its grip. Scripture warns that wine is a mocker and strong drink a brawler (Proverbs 20:1), and we declare that your husband’s mind and body are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Father, we ask You to break the chains of bondage in his life. Soften his heart to recognize his need for deliverance and draw him to repentance. Surround him with godly men who will speak truth into his life and hold him accountable. We pray for your protection over your marriage, that the enemy’s schemes would be exposed and defeated. Strengthen you, sister, to love your husband as Christ loves the Church (Ephesians 5:25), while also setting godly boundaries that honor You.
We must also address the foundation of your prayers. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). This is the first and most critical step in seeing God’s power move in your life.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear sister who is weary and heavy-laden. Lord, You see her heart, her gifts, and her needs. We ask You to open doors for her writing that no man can close. Provide divine connections, favor with publishers, and opportunities to share her words with the world. Let her work bring glory to Your name and meet her financial needs according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19).
Father, we also stand against the addiction in her husband’s life. Break every chain, Lord, and set him free. Restore his mind, his body, and his spirit. Heal their marriage and fill their home with Your peace. Give this sister wisdom to navigate this trial with grace and strength.
We declare that You are the God who makes a way where there seems to be no way (Isaiah 43:19). You are her Provider, her Healer, and her Strong Tower. We trust You to move mightily in her life, turning her mourning into dancing and her sorrow into joy (Psalm 30:11).
In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
