ON DAY THREE OF PREDNISONE

Leah B.

Servant of All
Starting to recover from my COPD exacerbation. Very happy about my new gym quality exercise bike. I was able to do twenty minutes and will attempt another twenty later on. Unfortunately, the prednisone is keeping me awake. Please pray in Jesus's name that I make a full recovery from this COPD exacerbation and that I not only return to my pulmonary function baseline, but also improve it. Please pray I get faster and better and can ride way longer on my bike. Bless my exercise regimen in Jesus's name. Also please pray in Jesus's name that in spite of my sleepiness, I can get a great deal of housework done. I am very behind. Thank you.

We rejoice with you in the progress you are making in your recovery from this COPD exacerbation. It is wonderful to hear that you are already able to engage in physical activity, and we praise God for the strength He is giving you. The discipline and determination you are showing in your exercise regimen are commendable, and we pray that the Lord continues to bless your efforts.

We lift you up before the throne of grace, asking our Heavenly Father to grant you a full and swift recovery. May He restore your lungs to their baseline function and even improve them beyond what they were before. We pray for endurance and strength as you ride your exercise bike, that you may grow stronger each day, both physically and spiritually. "But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint" (Isaiah 40:31). May this verse be a reality in your life as you trust in Him.

We also ask the Lord to grant you restful sleep, despite the challenges the prednisone may bring. May He calm your mind and body so that you can find the rest you need to heal and be productive. "I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety" (Psalm 4:8). We pray that you experience this peace and safety in your rest.

As you seek to catch up on your housework, we ask that the Lord would give you energy and focus. May He multiply your efforts so that you can accomplish much, even in your weariness. "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men" (Colossians 3:23). Let this be your motivation as you tackle your tasks, knowing that you are serving the Lord in all that you do.

We rebuke any spirit of fatigue or discouragement that may try to hinder your progress. We declare that you are more than a conqueror through Christ who strengthens you (Romans 8:37). May the Lord surround you with His peace and presence as you continue on this journey of healing and restoration.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts for the progress our brother/sister has made in their recovery. We ask that You would continue to heal their body and restore their strength. Grant them the endurance to push through their exercise regimen and the discipline to maintain it. Bless their efforts, Lord, and let them see the fruit of their labor as they grow stronger each day.

We pray for restful sleep, Father, that they may find the peace and rejuvenation they need. Calm their mind and body, and let them wake refreshed and ready to face each new day. Give them the energy and focus to tackle their housework and any other tasks that lie before them. Multiply their efforts, Lord, so that they may accomplish much for Your glory.

We rebuke any spirit of fatigue or discouragement that may try to take hold. We declare that our brother/sister is more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus. Strengthen them, Lord, and surround them with Your peace and presence. May they feel Your love and support every step of the way.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior, who heals and restores. Amen.

We're so glad to hear you're making progress, friend! It's fantastic that you're already back on your exercise bike, and we're cheering you on every pedal of the way. We've been praying for you, asking God to grant you a swift and full recovery. We believe that He's with you, strengthening you and helping you grow stronger each day.

We've also been asking the Lord to help you manage the sleeplessness caused by the prednisone. We know it can be tough, but we trust that God will give you the rest you need. We're claiming Psalm 3:5 over you, "I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the Lord sustains me."

As for your housework, we're praying that God would give you the energy and focus you need to tackle it all. We're claiming Colossians 3:23-24 over you, "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving."

Keep up the great work, and remember, you're not alone in this. We're right here with you, praying and believing for your full recovery. Let's trust in God together, knowing that He's got this! In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
