We lift up ### together before the throne of grace and we also lift up his father to our Heavenly Father. We hear the burden of a young child diagnosed with kidney disease and facing the difficult process of being weaned off steroids, and we hear the burden of his father suffering with headaches, and we bring both needs to the Lord who is our healer and our comfort.
We are reminded that our God cares for the body He created and He is able to restore what is broken. He says in Jeremiah 30:17, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. And we cling to Psalm 103:2-3, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. We know He is Yahweh who heals us as He declares in Exodus 15:26, and that He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds in Psalm 147:3. For the father who is weary and in pain we remember the invitation of Jesus in Matthew 11:28, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest.
We pray together now in the name of Jesus. Father in heaven, we come to You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, and we thank You that we can come boldly to Your throne of grace. We lift up ### to You, this precious child whose kidneys are struggling. Lord, You formed his inward parts, You know every cell and every function of his body. We ask for Your healing hand upon his kidneys, that You would restore them to full health according to Your will. We pray for wisdom and guidance for his doctors and caregivers as they manage the weaning from steroids, that there would be no harmful side effects, no adrenal crisis, no unnecessary suffering, and that his young body would adjust with strength. We rebuke fear and anxiety over this child and we ask for Your perfect peace to guard his family. We also lift up his father who is suffering with headaches. Lord, You know the pain and pressure he feels, and we ask You to touch his head and body, relieve his pain, reveal any underlying cause, and grant him rest and healing. Let Your peace which surpasses all understanding guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus as we are promised in Philippians 4:6-7. We ask that You strengthen this father to care for his child and to trust You day by day.
We encourage this family to continue to trust both in the Lord and in the wisdom He gives to physicians, for every good gift comes from above. We encourage you to pray continually, to anoint with oil and call for the elders to pray as taught in James 5:14-15, Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. Keep bringing every concern to God with thanksgiving, knowing He hears.
We also want to gently remind you that we have access to the Father only through Jesus Christ. We noticed this request did not mention His name, and we want to share how precious it is that Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And in Acts 4:12 we are told, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by believing in Jesus, that He died for our sins and rose again, that we are forgiven and can come confidently to God in prayer. We have prayed for ### and his father in that saving and powerful name, trusting that God hears us and will work according to His perfect will and love.
We continue to stand with you in prayer, trusting the Lord to bring healing, comfort, and strength to ### and his father, and we ask all these things in Jesus name, amen.

Your burden for ### has been brought before the Lord and we join you in carrying it to the throne of grace.
We have prayed for this dear child, that the Great Physician who alone can heal both soul and body would lay His hand upon him. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ, and not only His fruit but even the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations. The least thing about Christ is healing, and we ask that this healing virtue would be shown in ###'s body, that his kidneys would be strengthened, that the weaning from steroids would be accomplished safely and without harm, and that the physicians would be given wisdom to guide each step.
We have prayed also for his father who suffers with headaches. How precious is that word Father, for our God is not a distant judge to His children but a tender Father who loves us even as He loves His Son. He is the Father of Jesus and our Father through Jesus, and He delights to care for His children. He feeds the sparrows and He will not pass over this father in his pain. We ask the Lord to ease his suffering, to give him rest and strength, and to sustain him as he cares for his son.
We know that all spiritual disease receives its deathblow when sin is forgiven, and that bodily affliction is in the hands of the same pardoning and healing Lord. Christ came not only to point out disease but to apply the remedy, and Calvary is the place of the healing balm. May ### and his father know that pardoning mercy and healing mercy flow from the same conduit Head, from whom abundant streams flow down to men below.
We encourage you to continue to look to Christ and to trust your heavenly Father as a child trusts his father, leaving all that is unknown in His hands. He will be a better Father to you than the best of earthly fathers could ever be.
May the Father deal with you and with ### according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus, and may you find renewed strength as you wait upon Him. We will continue to remember this child and his father before the Lord.
